I think size, skill, and experience favor Horth on the mat. She is a big, strong woman at 125lb. as she showed winning her short notice debut at 135lb. against another well-muscled girl in Hailey Cowan.Horth should have the superior cardio based on the tape and the pace/pressure style getting to Hardy historically.Hardy was audited on the mat by Ashlee Evans Smith, Gillian Robertson, and Andrea "KGB" Lee. Her last fight was a redemptive win but she still showed positional deficiencies on the ground. --Jamey-Lyn Horth is 2-0 career to the SUB and Veronica Hardy is 2-1 career to the SUB. Horth has submitted arguably her two best opponents and undeniably her two best opponents pre-UFC in Corinne Laframboise and Mayra Cantuaria Rodrigues via RNC. Hardy's only SUB loss was via RNC against Gillian Robertson, but she was also taken down repeatedly and bludgeoned by Ashlee Evans Smith in a brutal TKO3 loss.I expect Horth to be the better grappler, the bigger and stronger woman, and the better prepared fighter in terms of 3-round cardio.Hardy won her last fight but she fought a much less physical woman and she was put in several tight submission situations. I think that she is a natural finisher but she has to wear on her opponents. Back at her natural weight class, I am willing to take shots on the round props hoping she adds a 6th finish victory to her professional tally.As for Hardy, she has been finished twice in her career, in the second and the third round one time each.Lastly, I think Horth has the size and cardio advantage here so I think she is more likely to end up on top imposing her will late in the fight after Hardy spends her energy in the early going.
