The system finally hit against Du Plessis. It's possible Whittaker can get back on track here, but he is at virtual age parity and I think he is more shop worn.2) Narrative basis = Costa returning to Anaheim where he beat Romero in a classic.3) Paulo looks to be in career best shape. Maximum of 15 minutes here instead of 25 (only losses of Paulo's career were scheduled for 5x5 min rounds)4) Paulo is a virtual unknown due to lack of activity. Training with Pitbull brothers & Captain Eric so he could be making huge level jumps between fights.5) Recency bias says Paulo Costa looked like shit against Rockhold, but his grappling held up against an elite black belt and he was able to manage a difficult cardio slog in Salt Lake City at Elevation.6) If this fight is a close decision, I would rather be holding the +200. If this fight ends ITD, I trust that Costa's durability should hold up as well as Whittaker's or better.
