I really love Bon’s words in this. Nobody before has really looked at Fushi as he is, and thought “Wow, this isn’t just Fushi, what I’m seeing is all the people who made him him” and thought of the lives lost to give him appearances. But Bon’s like, man, this isn’t just Fushi, it’s March. I guess that kind of insight is unique to someone that sees the dead every day. So sweet

You are so used to 2 dimensional characters and personalities that if someone has ambiguity and complexity in their character then it suddenly is 'out of character'. "he helps everyone, he knows everyone's names, he is good and hence can't be selfish, weird he is being selfish here, so out of his character". Humans do this all the time, we're temporarily "Evil" and selfish until our goals are met and then we can start give back.

Bon said it was not the right time for him to tell him he could revive the dead. I'm with Bon on that, Bon and Fushi are currently on a mission to exterminate nokkers. Bringing his companions back to life now could bring disaster. Bon doesn't seem the kind of person who would keep it hidden from Fushi forever. He's just waiting for a better moment.

In the manga, the scene of the girl's resurrection is better explained through a flashback of Bom, he explains that the soul of the girl was present and talking to him until Fushi separated from the body he created, then he never saw her again, all this is during the scene where Bom visits the noble and his daughter in the garden. Bom can see any spiritual being, not just ghosts, that's why he sees the Beholder, but its presence and power are so great that it causes Bom discomfort.

I say let’s trust Bon. He’s scared to lose Fushi if he does say they can revive. He plans on telling Fushi when they’re done, and if bon ends up dying (I hope not buy knowing this anime) Fushi will end up knowing anyways

Luke you do not have to go far. When you ask a girl to be your girlfriend and date you its similar thing like if you asked her/him to marry you. Let me explain my view point of it. It's not the same importance but you will not ask a girl to date you if you are not sure she would be happy to and yet still many people do it anyway and many times pressure girls to say yes. That is why you have so many unhappy marriages and why there are so many divorces and brakeups. If you think about it marriage is just higher level of dating with more responsibility. You do not have to be married to have kids or to live together yet still some people expect those things to go along with a marridge. Still we all have been refused when asked a girl to date you so why it would be different when you ask her to marry you. Difference is that marriege is a next step it should be an expression of how much you love your partner. It should not be mandatory not even if you have kids already. It's just your expression of how much you love someone so you want to bind your life with them for rest of your life. At least I see it that way. If someone refuse to marry you it means you were not in relationship in the first place.
