Reminder that you should watch the opening for the next episode, it’s slightly different

Joseline

Please watch the intro!

Sai

Hello, JoJo! Luke: Run run run run run. No one runs better than my boy Joseph. South Park Christmas Special, lmao. NIGERUNDAYO!!!! o7 Stroheim! Kars just needs to do a 👍as he sinks into the magma.

Nate Ming

Oh man I love Monty Python and the Holy Grail

Smonolith

Stroheim doesn't mess around. if he needs to sacrifice himself for the greater good (the greater good) then so be it. We're lucky that his current "greater good" (the greater good) is "saving the world from a superpowered ancient vampire-god-thing" and not any of the other things the third reich was up to back then

Question for chat, do you think the ultimate Kars version is the first stand or would it not count?

Jacowab

He won't notice the SFX version because he doesn't watch the op every episode

SamJaz

Who's your favourite JoJo character? Mine's Dubstep Squirrel

Rem is best waifu

I never seen anyone talk about it but it reminds me of an integrated stand with an evolved or ultimate phase.

Shane

Yes but he has seen the original opening (plus this is good practice for later parts where he’ll really miss out if he skips)

23:40 There's a few volcanos that active. One if Africa has a great big LAKE OF MAGMA! Besides, it's 1939ish. There could be different active volcanos then. How did Stroheim get there? A. He got on the pontoon during that moment when Jojo dipped the pontoon onto the lake for no fucking reason. B. He jumped on it while you were complaining that Jojo led Kars back to the bystanders.

Vinnick

You're right, Kars isn't dead yet. But that's not the most important part. There's a very vital bit of lore here that you may have missed. If you look closely at Kars in the lava, there's a moment - maybe just a frame or two - where you see he is briefly missing a hand. There's also a hint of white fur, then a weird flash, and it's gone. The force of the impact tore off his arm, and before he regenerated, the severed limb turned into a rabbit, similar to the squirrel incident earlier. But the amount of stress this whole situation put on his body caused his powers to burst out, actually ripping a hole in the space-time continuum, that the rabbit was sucked into. It fell out of this strange portal hundreds of miles away, and hundreds of years in the past, where it lived in a lonely cave. Until one day, a brave group of knights, on a quest for the Holy Grail, had the misfortune of crossing it's path... fortunately they possessed the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch, or none would have survived.

Okay so Guile from Street Fighter ACTUALLY is modeled after Stronheim XD Originally he was inspired by a different character from JoJo's part 3, but during development of Street Fighter 2 the pixel artists had some fun and stretched out his hair which made him look more like Stronheim and it stuck. ALSO during development his signature Sonic Boom technique was internally referred to as Divine Sandstorm, which is Wamuu's move I thought Guile was just inspired by one JoJo's character, but I went to fact check myself and turns out he actually was influenced by THREE JoJo's characters XD Guys PLEASE upvote this so Luke sees it!

Chaxinitus

So regarding the Street Fighter comment - several designs WERE actually inspirations for Street Fighter, as JJBA came out first (the majority of Part 3 was actually out before Street Fighter 2, which is where most of the classic designs for the series came from) Technically Guile is designed after a character from Part 3, but the devs made an edit during production for comedic effect and decided to stick with it because it did fit with Stroheim if I'm reading an interview summary correctly. Dhalsim's extending punch was also partially inspired by Zeppeli's "Zoom Punch"

Kevin V

Yeah, even if it's not much different, it's an special OP he otherwise would never watch.

26:48 This dude cannot die. That's a red flag if I ever seen one.

Juho Kaartoaho

All of the 3 descriptions are necessary for the "perfect" being. 1. Invincible only means that they can't be defeated, but they can still age and die. 2. Doesn't age anymore meaning he would not suffer debuffs of ageing. 3. Will not die means he can't be killed anymore or die naturally or even if he wanted. If he only had this step he could still become very weak as he aged and be defeated other ways just not by killing him.

BATTLE TENDENCY'S THRILLING CONCLUSION ON SATURDAY! AND STARDUST CRUSADERS BEGINS MONDAY! HELL YEAH!!!

Legacy

Stroheim the goat

mato

Add J. Geil to the list. That's who Guile was named after.

rarebearvt

We told you Stroheim is the GOAT

Promx

Kars is dead and the next episode will be just recap and epilogue

Rohim

The Red Gem was like Red Bull giving Kars wings.

ReyZiegler

As someone who despises Nazis and the rise of them in modern day politics, I honestly love the portrayal of Stroheim. Araki made it clear he is a monster of a human being, from his introduction. And yet, the fanaticism and devotion he exhibited to contribute to the deaths of innocent people is EXACTLY what you want in your arsenal when facing an existential threat like the Pillar Men. Because someone that crazy is going to go all the way when the chips are down. Stroheim is not a hero. But by god is he determined to fight for humanity's future, even if it's only for the sake of his sick and twisted "master race" ideology. He's a morally-gray character done right; absolutely despicable in some aspects, but the GOAT in others.

Ben

Say what you want about him, but he is dedicated to what he believes in (which is insanely fucked up)

Ben

I thought Guile was based on both him and Stroheim since Guile is also a military guy

Chaxinitus

I'm mostly going off the summation of multiple interviews from the jojowiki, so I'm not gonna claim any actual knowledge/expertise here

Stefan Jipa

Nigerundayo hits back! Joseph plane crashing story still continues:) Von Stroheim isn’t a hero, but man he is so determined to save humanity and Jojo bloodline Kars gigachad in lava ?

FetaccineAlfredo

And Joseph's total Plane kill count to this point, is now 2.

StrykerEvol

Well done noticing Luke!! But you got one thing backwards. Stroheim doesn't look like Guile from Street Fighter. It's the other way around. Guile is officially confirmed to be based on Stroheim. I am not joking.

Sean

Music when hes first flying thr plane, sound a lot like Crazy Noisy Town, opening song of pt4.

Barack O. Llama

not at all, actually sounds like josephs theme, because it is josephs theme
