Yes, perfect time to watch some Jojo!

Iron_claw

@GOTGames can you please to react to (Mori Calliope Featuring Kobo Kanaeru) (song Midnight Mayoi)

Sebastian C. Winding

So I will explain regarding the "brainwashing" coming from the buds. The buds themselves don't control the hosts. What they do is that they stimulate "awe" in the person that gets implanted with them with the awe being directed towards a specific person. In this case the person is Dio the one who implanted the parasite. When the infected people see Dio, they think he is the most charismatic son of a gun ever to walk this planet, and would do anything to get approval or be of any help to Dio. So the people are still autonomous and still retain their personalities (they are not controlled by a puppeteer), they are just "controlled" to have incredibly positive feelings towards Dio, without understanding why, and would do anything for him.

Jotaro 195cm 6.4ft 1.7 ell 4.2 cubit

Amberyootoob

Luke, are you going to eat that cherry? They’re my favourite!

AchmodinIVSWE

Holly saw Jotaro’s stand when he was in prison (or jail) she comment on star platinum when Jotaro shoots himself

LireKlein

Part 3 has the best flow, until it doesn't , then it has the worst flow. If you want a part that feels like a movie then I guess part 5 or part 7 . But part 3 is still really enjoyable, it's the part that made me read the manga because I couldn't wait for the next episode.

Stefan Jipa

Don’t be surprised if a Beatle can have a stand :)) Kakyoin joined JoJo gank!

Ristaroth

Did luke notice Jotaro's hair + hat yet? I don't think he did lol

Kapitan

Holly saw Stands in the first episode, where cops couldn't see them.

Barack O. Llama

btw in the uk, we do use centimetres to measure and the metric system for everything. i thinks its only speed limits and older people that use the imperial system

Elijah Wheaton

Yeah, they explain the charisma thing pretty poorly. I believe what Joseph was implying is that DIO would lure his victims in with his charisma, and then implant the flesh bud in their head.

reyel

wait, the uk also uses feet to measure? I thought that was an america thing, whose feet tho? the queen's?

Michael Poulsen

I don't quite remember with part 3 specifically but part 4 had some really questionable animation and looks in some scenes that was fixed up with the blue-ray/uncensored version.

Barack O. Llama

stands have nothing to do with jojo or dio. they have always been a thing and anyone can have them. the dio curse is that dio's stand resonated with jonathan's body and so all of his descendants, the jojos, manifest stands as well.

MoodyBlue

Yeah, a lot of Part 4 was apparently outsourced to different studios. Which unfortunately causes the TV version to fluctuate noticably between really cool and really wonky

Sai

Hello, JoJo! Not gonna lie, I always thought they used cm in the UK for height. I feel stupid. I know nothing about cm as well. You can tell how much Luke has paid attention to the past eyecatches. MILF Hunter Kakyoin!

Jacowab

the uncensored version isn't just uncensored, it massively improves the animation, adds extra frames of animation, fixes errors, and removes black splotches that are used for censorship.

Sejad Lulic

And now the adventure with the boys start! :D Can their friendship and comradery overcome the challenge and rid the world of the terror named Dio or will their suffering get the better of them?

Sejad Lulic

disagree with part 5, dont know about part 7 because I wait for the anime.

Vinnick

Kakyoin: "Jojo, you gave me back my senses. To repay you, I aim to become your new stepdaddy." Also on Joseph's stand, Hermit Purple; yeah, it's definitely on the weaker side compared to the rest, but as you saw when he killed the brain bug, Joseph also still has Hamon as well, so it balances out. And you'll see as it goes on that Hermit Purple has other uses aside from the photography thing.

ArtKi

28:34 "How does he have this power?" What part of the name "DIO" do you not understand?

KokoakoCube

DIO could have the same power as Joseph because of Jonathans body. They all are descendants of him, so that would make sense. Also there was a theory that Star Platinum is Jonathans soul. DIO got Jonathans body, Jotaro his soul. Jonathan once said that when he dies he would haunt DIO. Jonathan in his 'fighting' uniform had regular clothes and weird shoulder pads, Star Platinum has Shoulder Pads (but thats a streach I think) Both have blue/purple(ish) tint in thier characters Both have good precision (Jonathan by training with Hamon and wine glass) And both punch things

Magic Fibre

17:31 The last picture is when DIO noticed Joseph observing him and I LOVE that it's the only picture where he immediately chose to pose and flex his muscles

Ben

The thing about the uncensored is that JoJo’s definitely gets a bunch of censoring from part 3 and on and you will probably miss a bunch of references without it as well

Ben

I think Holly's stand is similar to Joseph's because of the bloodline and Dio has Jonathan's body which is how he has hermit purple also Joseph's stand requires him to break a camera to print out the spirit photo lmao

Nate Ming

"JOJO'S MOM HAS GOT IT GOIN' ON SHE'S ALL I WANT, AND I'VE WAITED FOR SO LONG" -Kakyoin, this episode

Christian R Lewis-Batista

Luke you can find the uncensored version by watching on animepahe . Any bluray version of JoJo is uncensored. Honestly the censoring becomes ridiculous because they just slap giant black blobs where the violence comes. And it’s throughout the show.

Smonolith

oh they're taking a plane, I'm glad they're choosing the safest and also fastest mode of transport to get to Egypt quickly, especially considering Joseph never caused even a single plane to crash before, let alone two. Since they'll be in Egypt so quickly, they're probably gonna spend most of part three playing backgammon and billiards against DIO since they won't have any trouble getting to him

LuciusArtoriusCastus

i get what u mean by jotaro being the least prominent mc so far, and it kind of seems to be done on purpose, but that will change. Theres a reason a lot of anime fans refer to jotaro as the MAIN jojo of the entire series.

Lacirev

Milf hunter Kakyoin makes his debut

Joseline

I'd honestly recommend not reading your comments on these particular reactions

ReyZiegler

Pretty sure it's basically been confirmed that Dio having that power was a mistake because Araki didn't entirely plan out how stands really worked. At the very least, he didn't settle on what Dio's power would be at this stage, so this is indeed an oversight and not some 4Head lore.

Rugo

by the way, the ending songs apparently were the songs araki was listening too when writing the manga

jwitn

I would pay to see that

Moshi

Milf hunter Kakyoin

Sei

In the start Holly said she saw something the police couldn't

NoBitt

Holly's stand ability is to kill whoever has the stand

FetaccineAlfredo

He's about 6'5, roughly 3 inches taller than my room mate, who would always hit his head on the door casing when he came home from work. Cute seeing Jojo duck as he enters and leaves his house, unlike Kyle who would hit his head on the metal frame like a gong... So, yeah, I guess Hamon isn't entirely gone with Joseph involved, but, like... It's the world of Stands basically. Also kinda cute that Holly's name is kinda ironic, being as it's poisonous, and the wood used in witchcraft, hence Hollywood and such, but also being quite a smooth transition into the tarot that names most the stands. Also, like... Jojo is kind of a knob on the outside, but... Dude really does care. I figure that outside of his persona that, just being a douche is a means to protect the people around him via distancing himself from them, but yeah... He is kinda arrogant. Kinda makes sense that, that is the characteristic he puts forth on the outside; but he really does do most of this for his mom and has family values, even if they are clouded by him being a 16 year old trapped in a giant's muscular testosterone enraged body. I mean, I would, if I were jacked like that. People say, retrospectively, in the biblical age, "I wouldn't do that..." But, fact be, I know I wouldn't be infallible. Big ass muscles like that? Sam I am, I would jacked and tan, I'd act like a knob too.

Lia

They make the censorship for the TV version and unfortunately all streaming platforms use that version, so if you want to watch it uncensored, the only legal way to my knowledge would be from the Blu-ray directly. It's got some improvements in the animation as well, as Blu-ray versions often do, but I wouldn't say it's absolutely necessary, so it's up to you if you want the best viewing experience or if you're fine with the occasional black covering on blood and stuff!

StrykerEvol

Uncensored is actually much different. I stopped watching at one point, since the censorship was starting to get annoying and i couldn't find the uncensored version anywhere. Sometimes, you have the screen going half or near completely black because of the censorship. Which can really take you out of it.

Slipstream

The Blu rays with fan subs is the best way to go. The least amount of censoring and subs that are accurate and true. Not the censored slop that funimation provided.
