Great reaction but I KNOW you didn't just say that Jinwoo doesn't have a chance. Oh sweet summer child...just you wait...it won't disappoint. This episode was amazing. They literally took every panel from the manhwa and animated it and made it even better. The stuff with Cha at the end when she got that final buff to go in and kill the queen was WAY better in the anime and looked SO much better. Using Dark Aria while "he" demolished the Korean hunters was diabolical. That's Jinwoo's killing song and the complete flip of the script from S1E6 was INSANE. Can't wait for next week.

I actually needed a break mid-way through the episode, Even knowing what was coming and how everything ends, They cooked so hard with the amount of pure stress the entire situation exuded that I just needed a second to catch my breathe. That sawano soundtrack kicking in and immediately paralleling Episode 6 from the first season with the ant dismantling them... Oh man, pure FIRE

About juju Island, it is not a dungeon but a dungeon break which they failed to contain several times. Also, I believe early in season 1 they explained conventional weapons have no effect on monsters so I dont think nuking the place would do much other than alter the landscape.

At the previous episode the reporter hunter indeed said there were a 10 minute delay, "just in case". So, althought we see the broadcast as "live", don't take it literally, the people back in the country (and maybe the rest of the world) is watching it 10 minutes after it actually happened

I vastly prefer the ant in the manhwa. He doesnt eat his morher, instead we see him stay in silent in front of her face and then in anger SCREAM. Then he starts massacrying the hunters. Much better imho. The way he eats his mother takes away from his character inho, deviates from who he is imho. But I guess that may be one of the differences between the manhwa and the light novel ? I didnt read the light novel, cant say for sure.

The anime cut off an important part when Jinwoo fought Goto. The part that Goto refers to in this episode where he says he's sensed a similar aura before and it shows Jinwoo. That happened during the fight initially. So Jinwoo completely overwhelmed Goto, it just wasnt shown too well in the anime (Tho the hand grab was already a big tell)

This episode had a lower quality animation but the direction was way better and it had much more impact. I'd say top3 episodes in solo leveling and I expect next episode we get a 10 min FULL FIGHT. I could see that they kept the budget low to go nuts next one.

Indeed. If they used mana infused bullets though, it would be a different story. In fact it's weird they didn't do that in the story. Give the military mana bullets and canon shells. It wouldn't replace hunters, but it would at least give the conventional military a fighting chance.

this is actually good cliffhanger. This whole show is like a gooning session, they keep you edged constantly and then you blast a nut with an epic animation later on. I could see it on luke's face. Dude was animation nutting XD left and right every time when it's solo leveling. WATCHING LUKE It make me understand how certain people are so down bad for food or sex, he's just that down bad for sung jin woo XD

The dude who made the most insane manhwa quality ever died not the writer itself. Idk I keep seeing people think the one who did the drawings is the author. THX for your info. I was wondering why I didn't see other manhwas with that exact same quality even after reading like +100. Nothing Compare with solo leveling manhwa because the dude DIED OMG. There are out there some works that do have same style and quality because the studio at which he worked, those people inherited his style from working with him but it's nowhere near that insane level. I'd say people should read solo leveling manhwa but using an "epic playlist music" on the background

@lelouch yes this has took all cool elements and implemented into one quick show. The story is small and it's a fap fest of fighting. Once this ends, we're basically at chapter 110-115 out of 180 (last 20 doesn't count). Which means one more season and it's over. it's a 3 seasons fast paced or 4 seasons slow pace type of story.

4:07 Relax? I had trouble *breathing* the entire episode. It was relentless! 17:11 It's not really a dungeon. Jeju island is what happens when you DON'T shut down a dungeon, it has a dungeon break and nobody can deal with the monsters that come out of the gate. Yeah, the healer said it was an S Rank dungeon but I think he's talking about the difficulty. after all, you never saw anybody pass through a gate to get to island. 18:05 Based upon what happens later this episode either the interference signal *never* worked or it was sabotaged after working initially. 27:00 "Why can't they nuke the island?" Season One, Episode One... a minute or two after it started. non-magic weapons have NO EFFECT. That said, nuking the island (or drenching it in napalm or thermite) seems like a good idea as it takes away the ant's food source. But Grand Strategy usually isn't part of anime. (unless you watch Legend of the Galactic Heroes) Note: in the orc dungeon arc, Cha picked up a regular pick axe before going in. I looked it up and she can infuse magic into regular weapons. Not as good as her fancy sword but she'd be able to do damage with the pick axe. 28:04 "Has this dude not been watching the broadcast?" The only camera man is in the ant colony. And there's a 10 minute delay. 29:01 "Good" AND THERE WE HAVE IT. Now I see why, when they show this anime in Japan, all references to Japan are replaced by some generic-country and all references to Korea are replaced by Japan. yeah, Japan is the Bad Guy in this series! (there's quite a fuss among the fans who are complaining about the censorship) The Japanese hunters on the raid are all from *one* guild. japan had the ability to clean out the island with their S-Ranks ... but they wanted a way to kill off all the S-Ranks in Korea and not be blamed. THERE'S TWO MORE EPISODES!!!!! PEAK PEAK PEAK PEAK PEAK! No, Jinwoo has multiple S-Ranks who are NOT his shadow soldiers. The guy carries around healing potions including the 5 left-over SUPER healing potions. I haven't counted, but I bet there 5 badly wounded S-Ranks being saved by the 5 shadow soldiers. Also, the only shadow soldier we know is S-Rank is Igris. Big Bear is A-Rank. Tank was spawned from an A-Rank but I don't know if the rank carried over. he seemed pretty damn strong, though. Tusk might be S-Rank but it isn't spelled out. Can Jinwoo "arise" a healer? Probably. I've been saying for weeks he should be traveling to cemeteries all over the world and "arising" S-Ranks. There's obviously a reason the healer got his head bit off and the other S-Ranks are only on the verge of death. It would be funny if JinWoo's exchange was with the orc guarding his sister. "Ooops, hold on for 3 more hours guys!"

Also, the "second force" waiting to back them up is just a bunch of Korean A ranks on the ships, no more S ranks or Japanese hunters. So that guy wanted the Korean S ranks to die, then all of the Korean A ranks to die attacking the island after the S ranks failed. Therefore crippling Korea of all of its strongest hunters, leaving the "glory" of clearing the island to Japan whenever it pleases.

Only thing I could think of is the lack of death blow is intentional, as it is trying to make the Korean hunters suffer more because they took out his Queen? So it is choosing to let them choke on their own blood, feel their broken bones, allow their brains to twist and torment before ultimately being eaten alive by the other ants. Since the ant is going to fight "the king", he can safely assume no one strong enough to save them is on this island, and his sentencing them to a cruel death is secure.

Goto is far from being one of the strongest hunters of the world, he is just the strongest in Japan, but he is not a National Level S Rank, so he says he is a king, but in reality he’s not, Jinwoo father could defeat him easily and the other kings (National Level S Rank) could also easily defeat him and if Jinwoo fought seriously against Goto, Goto would have died

So, no, the island is not a dungeon, is the place where a gate appeared with ants inside, no one could clear it in time, so the ants were able to cross the gate and stay on the island. And goddammit 😂, yes Luke, there is a second strike team, shown in the last episode and even at 10:00 of this reaction, you were in the meeting dude 😂. Lastly, the pos calling from Japan wasn't aware of the last events because the transmission has a 10min delay.

for all those who don't understand Jinwoo cant see what his shadows see he can only have a connection to them and swap locations with them at this point. he knew to act then and there because he lost contact with the shadow connected to goto that why he chose to act then. and small spoiler they cut the feed when the s Ranks were getting beat so no footage and everything being seen was already on a 10 min delay.

I don’t know if it’s the right name, but we agree that the National Authority Rank Hunters, are the strongest, so strong they could destroy an entire nation all by themselves, would you believe that Thomas Andre or even Chris could loose against this black Ant ? I’m not saying that Goto is weak, he’s still the strongest S Rank that we see in the anime besides Jinwoo, but I don’t believe he would have met the criteria, I don’t believe he’s on the same level as Chris or other National Authority Rank Hunter or maybe I’m giving to much credit for the National Authority Rank Hunters

Not a spoiler just to explain. Clearing S rank dungeon is big feat so not many countries did it or even had opportunity to begin with. It brings prestige and in this case Japan gets rid off the Korean hunters as well.

Luke's reaction has nothing to do with the show being objectively good or bad. He is emotionally invested in this one for entirely subjective reasons. Yes, this was pretty much confirmed in the first 3 episodes of the series with the B-Rank healer Joohee. She spent too much of her mana healing Jinwoo and was eventually too exhausted so her legs gave out on her.

Why don't they nuke the Island? Have you heard of Cheyenne Mountain complex? An American military base built deep into a mountain to literally survive direct nuclear attack. The queen was deep inside that mountain, it would be the same. If you throw enough nukes to vaporise that mountain, you're killing the human race at the same time pretty much from nuclear winter that would follow... So that was never an option with Jeju.
