I never asked myself why would the princess remove her mask, but your theory actually makes sense. In a way, kings and queens are either 1. considered god's vessel on earth, or 2. like priests and nuns, married to god. So if the princess, heir to the throne, removes her mask in front of Fushi, it could be considered her way of acknowledging Fushi as her god. She's rejecting the church of benett on the previous dialogue, so it makes sense she's "demostrating her love for Fushi"

I realize that luke forgets something every time he watches one of those shows with medieval times. he keeps asking questions such as: "why are people trusting so easy, why are they not questioning". Not realizing that religion brainwashed people to trust easy and not ask questions, and asking is basically saying that you side with the devil as knowledge is considered dangerous. Every time he questions and says "it's odd". I believe IT'S ODD he thinks it's odd.

If you don’t like bons actions you must remember he’s thinking of the bigger picture. If he tells fushi he can revive people especially in this battle it can end up wearing fushi out quickly. So his actions may be annoying as a viewer but it makes sense
