Favorite part about this episode is that we were foreshadowed to this conclusion in the previous episode. When Joseph was purposefully mistaking D'Arby's name, we saw how flustered and angry he got. Jotaro picked up on that, and realized that the only way to beat D'Arby at any betting game is to get in his head. D'Arby might be an expert gambler, but in the face of the steel-spirited Jotaro, he's nothing.

Once you finish part 3 you’ll need to check out Antfish’s JJBATAS, an abridged series of the old Stardust Crusaders OVA’s. Only a few episodes but the abridged D’Arby battle is hilarious to witness

I feel part of why this is so good is, D'arby is a very interesting character in the way he fights the main guys. He is obviously a cheater, a trickster and all that, but he also goes straight at them, he respects ppl who are smart and bold and he just comes off so much more genuine imo than any other "villian" we seen so far. Just such a good fight of two ppl bringing everything they have in this battle.

They should have wagered Iggy’s soul at the beginning 🤣🤣 Poor Kakyoin, he can’t rest even in the hospital 😅 I was really waiting for this fight without an actual fight in it Why didn’t Osiris took Barbie’s soul ?? When he accepted his loss, otherwise it means Barbie can never wager his soul in a bet, so it was pointless to start betting with him, unless you could win from the 1st round

It is not that Hollywood is obsessed with Texas holdem, Texas holdem is by far the most played poker variant

Also Texas holdem nothing close to 100% bluffing. And playing all in every time without looking at your hand might sound like it’s cool but it is very easy to play against. Yes it will always end in “by chance” but the chance you win a tournament is very low. You might get lucky one hand or another but overall you will be losing a lot in the long run obviously. Also no official tournaments will prevent you from playing like this if it’s a no limit format (meaning you can bet whatever you have, there are variants that limit the amount you can bet, but almost all Texas holdem tournaments are no limit). In a cash game in a local club they might ask you to stop doing this since you are being annoying to others, even if they can make more money off of you, it takes away the main reason most people are playing there: for entertainment

In the OVA of JJs bizarre adventure they featured this section of the manga and the water stand fight. And they did it very well, but no one looks like you would expect from watching this anime :)
