Hiruman

The reason he died was because of saving Okuyasu. So yeah, he's not wrong lol

Genetz

The Electric dude is Shikamaru's VA lol

Smonolith

Keicho Nijimura correctly saw that he couldn't just start a normal life and give up the bow and arrow, he had already done too much evil shit. So he decided to act like a shithead to his brother to push him away so he'd turn toward someone better (Like Joe's key and Koichi). He still loved his brother though and that's why he sacrificed himself for Okuyasu, telling him "you were always holding me back" once he knew he's screwed both to remind him that he's not a bad guy like he himself is and because it sounds kinda shitty and maybe makes the loss feel a tiny bit less bad

Smonolith

it's important to remember here that the unspoken part of the sentence "you were always holding me back" was "from killing and hurting people to tryto kill our dad"

Magic Fibre

Okuyasu told Josuke that his mother is hot the very next day after meeting him? Ladies and gentlemen, Kakyoin is back

Stefan Jipa

Very weird and complicated episode! Okuyashu’s aniki sucks, but at least he’s done something in the end… Moreover, we’ve met Red Hoto Chili Peppers and also we got Okuyashu in the gank!

Magic Fibre

And Okuyasu is Knuckle from HxH

Apollosynthesis

to be fair "ive always hated you" would be in character for any siblings last words, anybody with siblings understand this feeling lol

Asuka Rae

Okuyasu is probably peak jobro

Jonah Vianello

polaref is my fave though, but i do love okuyasu

KUR0KIJI

What do you mean? Koichi is a reliable guy

_____ Rasse _____

DIO was constantly stopping time to practice stopping it for longer and longer. Jotaro has *mostly* settled down and has used his time stop barely, if at all, in the last 10 years. Remember, he could do 5 seconds at the end of the DIO fight.

_____ Rasse _____

It was 5 seconds. He said he stopped time at 9 seconds out of DIOs 11 seconds, so 2, and then kept it stopped for 3 seconds after. 2+3=5

Magic Fibre

DIO never had 11 seconds. DIO's peak was 9 seconds. It's portrayed poorly in the anime (as many other aspects in this fight) but in the manga you can clearly see he's been frozen since the 9th second. You're right that Jotaro reached 5 seconds though - he was moving since DIO's 7th second and could go for 5 more.

TheElementalerWars

In Episode 1 of Part 4 Jotaro mentioned he "hasn't stopped time since that day with DIO" and as a consequence can only stop time very briefly. Stopping time is likely very strenuous, which is why even DIO himself was constantly training his abilities so that he could get to his 5 second limit.

Sai

Luke, you've always held me back!

LireKlein

Brokuyasu's stand is perfect to kill his father, The Hand erases stuff (even space itself) regardless of durability and regeneration. But his Big Bro probably never had the cruelty of telling Okuyasu to kill his own father, which IMO says a lot about him. He had a perfect solution in The Hand but decided to search for another stand user to do the job just so he wouldn't traumatize his little brother.

Part 4 makes no sense at all, there is no valid reasoning for anything

Frentzy

The electricity stand DUDE has same voice as: shikamaru. Imagine shikamaru being an evil dude LUL.

NoBitt

You could say that since he said that Okuyasu always held him back, that he still considered him to be his brother, since he could have just killed him any time

Zer0

24:24 or how lazy Jotaro has been.

Kanogawa_Hiro92

@Canelas Your comment makes no sense at all, there is no valid reasoning for anything too.

Dank 280

To be fair, abuse victims can have a hard time showing conventional love and appreciation when they've never experienced it themselves. Generational trauma is a real thing, after all. It's clear that okuyasu's brother cares for him (probably less so his dad, or strangers for that matter) but he doesn't know how to show it without being hurtful. It's a pretty sad real phenomena.

Wakuza

ok you know what at this point we gotta make a bet will Luke finally be able to pronounce Josuke name correctly or will it last the end of this part

Kanogawa_Hiro92

I will start call him LUKI if he pronounce Josuke name wrongly till the end.

Oscar Medina

Well, Dio as a vampire also had the stamina to just constantly grow the power of the World. No to mention that his power only started growing stronger as he started to master Jonathan's body.

DecoyBlackMage

Not to mention, there is no telling where things ereased go, meaning he might be eternally alive in a void instead....

Ghost Tendency

There really wasn't any doubt that the older brother protected Okuyasu though. He knocked his younger brother out of the way. Took the hit for him. Then told him not to try and help, because he might get sucked in too.

Shadow_284

I think the “you were always holding me back” line had a simple reason: he didn’t want his brother following/trying to save him. In the same way he pushed him out of the way of the stand, his last words were meant to protect his brother from harm by severing their ties. I had thought it was fairly obvious but nobody else here seemed to mention it either. 🤷‍♂️

James Palmer

Jotaro hasn't had a reason to stop time since his battle with Dio, so the ability hasn't progressed. He's just been pursuing his career as a marine biologist, it's not as if he's been out constantly gaining battle experience for the last 10 years.
