Luke, I think the reason the leaders didn't just go out there and wiped out the enemy was because Gasper's time-stopping powers were growing stronger by the second, so they had to focus on saving Gasper first. If they just fought the enemy and left Gasper alone, they would have eventually been frozen in time as well.

If you are a sucker for redheaded twintails I recommend you watch Ore wa Twintails ni Narimasu. The MC is literally obsessed with twintails and is kinda a parody of magical girls. It's a light comedy and action show with a little bit of ecchi, not on the level of DxD though.

yeah it really is unfortunate but since the author has been having health problems over the past few years he hasnt been able to do anything big like another season. He has also not been able to write too much of the novel back to back due to him needing time to recover in the hospital. Thankfully he still plans to continue it when he is better but he might need to recover more before he can work on the novel let alone the anime. the novel already has more than 10 seasons worth of content available for the anime to use tho so it all comes down to when the author feels up to it probably.

I forgot about this until they showed it but they actually censored the scene of how Rias and Gasper first met. In the novel when Rias first found Gasper he was severely injured and on the brink of death after being attacked by vampire hunters.

The Light Novel explains it more clearly. The reason that the leaders aren’t fighting is that they are the ones maintaining the barrier that is protecting everyone frozen, the school, and the surrounding area. Their primary concern is damage control. They even deduce that the enemy’s plan may be to draw them out with their attack on their armies, so they strategically decide to wait inside so that the person behind the attack will eventually reveal themselves, which is exactly what happens when Cattleya Leviathan appears.

And regarding their power level, the true nature of the DxD world was revealed during Issei’s conversation with Michael, but it is easily missable since they kind of gloss over it. You’ll see what I’m talking about in Episode 12. To avoid spoiling, I’ll just say that the leaders present are indeed very strong, with some being significantly stronger than others, and more in line with what you expected.

Your absolutely right, I don't remember which one of the three says it but its stated if his power is left unchecked they could be frozen next.

The reason the leaders can't fight until they get Gasper is because Gasper's power could get strong enough to freeze even them, and if that happens in the middle of fighting they're just dead

i dont know did this episode have the most pauses and forgetfulness from Luke??? :D :D I think you need to think of highschool dxd like the early connery and moore james bond movies. Nothing really bad is truly going to happen and the heroes get to bop at the end of the day. Well maybe there is some more suffering in highschool dxd, torture that is.

To answer your question: When they told the story about the great war, they briefly mentioned that god and the leaders of the devils and fallen angels killed each other. Whether that's true or not, is unclear. It's possible that there is more to the story. But if there is, it wasn't mentioned in the Anime yet.
