You were expecting a normal food wars battle, but it was me, Dio!

seansky

most ramen are meat based tho, you gotta try hard to find a vegan option.

PLSS we want to see the openings every so often, doesnt need to be every episode, doesnt matter if its in the latest episodes of each season. Even if you already reacted to it. Your current reaction will be different since you are now actively following the story!

somalasth

For twitch streams, he doesn't want to take the risk of playing them. He can get live copyright strikes

My internet was acting up so I watched till the 1st episode of S2 I forgot how the 2nd episode ended its cool you're watching jojos because I've seen people who didn't react at all to that your reaction was awesome btw

Hey, Luke! Someone said about netflix brazil. It has english subtitles so it may be an option for next stream!

TheKnightwatchOfficial

I actually laughed so hard that I started crying at the end of the second episode! Shrimp, shrimp, shrimp! Scallops, scallops, scallops!

Who recommended the OVAs? They are only partially cannon if i remember correctly and they don't add anything really to the story. And side content like this, can't even add anything important as it is not mandatory Adding to that, with how S2 continues straight where S1 left off, it really kills of the momentum in my opinion, very fillery.

The Pots

bro, that's only the first episode. second episode takes place between S1 and S2. and who cares if Luke watches the OVA, in my opinion, every content must be watched and I'm glad he's watching it besides, we who watched Shokugeki S1 when it was airing watched these OVA before S2 even released and nothing damaging happened so I don't see the big deal

patros36

I also watched S1 when it was airing and didn't watch the OVAs and nothing happened. There wasn't a single context from the OVA that i was missing throughout the series. I just find filler content boring and would prefer extra S2 episodes, rather than filler. Also, "every content must be watched" is certainly...a take....i mean if you enjoy padding then good for you i guess, but i would prefer actual content, there is enough episodes to go so we don't really need filler.

Then just... skip the parts where he watches OVAs/fillers? You don't have to watch it, but you can't stop others from doing so either.

patros36

I mean....i did.....don't have to tell me that. Doesn't mean i can't comment on that, im sure im not the only one. Most people don't like fillers, and Luke doesn't watch them because of that. Thats why i was interested how these ones specifically did get recommended as a watch.

The thing about racists should only have things from their country doesn’t make sense, it should be only from things made by their race not their country.

In Food Wars! many of the competitions revolve around a central theme such as curry, bento, or specific ingredients but what truly makes these events unique is how much creative freedom the chefs are given. Rather than being limited to strict definitions or traditional interpretations, the students are encouraged to innovate, experiment, and push boundaries. This approach reflects the core philosophy of Totsuki Academy: nurturing individuality and growth through self-expression. A perfect example of this can be seen during the curry competition in Fall Selection. While the theme was curry, not every dish presented was what you'd call a "true curry" in the traditional sense. Some contestants, like Akira Hayama, delivered dishes deeply rooted in classic Indian spice profiles. Others, like Soma Yukihira and Megumi Tadokoro, took more unconventional paths, blending curry elements into Japanese cuisine or fusion-style dishes. These were curry-inspired, rather than textbook examples of curry. This flexibility is intentional. The school recognizes that the best way for chefs to evolve isn't by mimicking what already exists β€” it's by being allowed to reinterpret and reimagine flavors in their own unique way. The theme acts as a guideline, not a restriction. By fostering creativity, Food Wars highlights an important truth about culinary arts: great chefs aren't made by following rules but made by finding their voice through food.

I just realized I've never seen the OAVs No better way to watch them for the first time with Luke

In the Cosplay Cafe I saw some dress up as main characters of Hikaru No Go. Loved that anime, learned how to play Go because of it.

Magic Fibre

That JoJo reference is even cooler considering that the guy is voiced by the same VA as a very cool character you'll meet in part 5 of JoJo

Hououin Kyouma

If they make a rule like you can't use the products and services of another country if you are racist, then a lot of the people from the USA will be in trouble, including the president.

Iron_claw

Literally the best Jojo's reference in all of anime.
