Did something happens with Dandadan and takopi's original sin as reaction series?

Nikkelz

Luke was on vacation last week so all new series were onhold. they'll be starting back up this week as things return to normal. Check TY or discord for the weekly schedule.

Recall

I'm actually shocked Luke didn't just call the detective stupid for his reasons. Might be the first time he hasn't shit on a character for doing something he wouldn't do.

Thanks for the great reaction to this anime. One of the things that wasn’t touched on in the discussion is how Decim and Chiyuki mirror the two characters in the book. Essentially the core of the story is him trying to find a way to express his feelings to her. Chiyuki is shut off from, deaf, to her own emotions about her death and it is through witnessing so many other people coming to terms with their deaths that she is able to accept Decim’s empathy. I also want to talk about the scene where Decim tempts Chiyuki with the false promise of getting to live again by sacrificing another. She knows it is wrong and can’t press the button herself but is so full of regrets and sorrow that she begs him to take on that sin for her. In that moment she flipped the judgment for her to Decim. Would he given the chance sacrifice a stranger for someone he loves? It is in this moment of temptation that Decim finally becomes an arbiter with human emotions and his character arc is complete. I want to end on plugging March Comes in Like a Lion again as something I think Luke would really love. It is also a show about exploring human emotion and has characters that feel completely like real people. It is an emotional journey but it isn’t one that has you feeling like an emotional punching bag. It is a story about overcoming, about lifting and being lifted up. It really is a perfect show for Luke at this point in his anime journey.

Godlight

Would be pretty cool to see you reacting to Ballroom e Youkoso

Saeed Riter

Please react to the new demon slayer movie trailer

MoodyBlue

He's already said he's not going to

Honky

peak

Genebytes

There is an OVA for this anime called death billiards. That's how I found out about this anime. I watched the ova first 🤣

Sinbad_Deity

"I can't stall any longer" Proceeds to stall longer.

Genebytes

It was originally a short film project fot young animator training project? Then 2 years later death parade happened. I was really sad finding out its not even based on a manga, novel or even game. I will never find out what happens after. 😭

Sinbad_Deity

"ok this is going to be more complicated then WE thought" Speak for yourself 😂

Sinbad_Deity

Detectives are not who you think they are, their depiction in movies are not accurate. Also psychopath feel emotions.

Pakom

Yeah the whole 1000 people dying every second that was said and light appearing in the Anime don't have anything to do with each other wink wink nudge nudge.

Rimuru Tempest

Orange hair guy never once tricked her. He told her his soul was in the void, or at least that she would need to send someone to the void to take his place and get his soul back. She never did that. Then he gave her plenty of chances to choose not to go into the void with idol guy, yet she chose to do so anyways, so he asked her why.

KeanuofRivia

So with Harada and the girl. Pretty sure she took the deal to sacrifice a random (Light) and got told that she has to go down and retrieve his soul for the swap. He lied to her. Harada got the void for all the pain he caused in life and for being tempted to kick her off to save his own skin. She got the void for being willing to sacrifice a strangers soul for her own gain. Might not agree but that was the Arbiters logic. In the end their 2 souls stay together in the void so they'll never be alone in the infinite darkness.

Arem.ch

will you ever react to Clannad? Honestly I feel like you'd love this series. It's one of my top favorite anime's of all time. lmk if anyone else agrees. I'd rewatch Clannad & Clannad After Story dozens of times over

Frentzy

Not all shows must be a "top5". If it makes you "feel" then it's "good enough". Not need for a score or to be in any top. Great show. EDIT: This is my 2nd rewatch since I watched it 10 years ago. And it still hits the same.

Frentzy

Psychos feel emotions. They are just selfish creatures and the world moves around them. In theory we the society deemed those individuals as "broken". The collective's traits is what is considered normal. Deviate from the normal and you're abnormal and labeled with a sticker. In the end they feel stronger than anyone, so strong and with no morals ethics or empathy you get the recipe for disaster (Uchiha clan: Sasuke/madara,etc...)

wangog2149

you might say that Jigoku shoujo is a longer version of death parade with 4 seasons

Rahzma

To be reincarnated is to have your previous life wiped away, getting to live again, but not knowing who you were before. The void you are left your memories intact, but you can never interact with another. Just exist in the dark, alone, with nothing to think about but your life, and your death. No matter what realizations you come to, you can do nothing about it. The girl was given a choice, sacrifice someone else to bring the guy back up. She was told a soul has to take his place. She refused, saying she'd rather give herself up to be with him. And so she was sent to the void, but now the two of them are together. They don't have to experience alone like all the others. They have more than just all their regrets. They remain themselves while spending eternity together.

Jen

I love this show so much and there's so few people that react to it compared to other anime, that I subscribed just so I wouldn't have to wait to see your reactions lol. What a ride it was, and I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Looking forward to you checking out Psycho-Pass as well!

EMMIL

I first watched this when I was too young to appreciate it, I didn’t even remember much of what happened, rewatching it with you now has hit way fucking harder. So glad you reacted to this

Zer0

ep 9, the young guy had both an angel and a devil whispering to him and he made the choice.

Bernie Burton

There's one more episode called Death Billiards that you didn't watch. It was the pilot episode that was made before the full series. You would have to search for it though.

davguev

I really liked that there were so many people talking about ReLIFE at the end of the final episode. I loved that series so much. It was the second series that made me shed a tear (the first one was Angel Beats!). Hope Luke watches it someday, but I doubt it.

Fatalistic Viking

With Psycho Pass coming does anyone else think that because of the complex story Luke should watch the dub instead? I know how much people can't stand the dub but he misses so much information when he's trying to react and read the chat and the subs at the same. I remember watching his reaction to Code Geass and of the complexity of the story and how much information he missed, he didn't enjoy the quite a few episodes in season 2 due to being a bit lost or confused with everything going on.

PiratePawsLive

I hope Luke watches Jigoku Shōjo: Girl from Hell, or also called Hell Girl some time soon. love the anime and is in the same vein. but older and 90 ep. Every time i see spider lily I gotta think of it.

Regill Derenge

Luke absolutely CAN'T watch a complex story on twitch. He didn't understand a single thing about steins gates for example. he has ZERO concentration skill. so maybe dub is better for him...

Regill Derenge

between sub alerts and constant chat reading while anime isn't paused this is unwatchable.... I hate twitch reactions with all my heart.

Fatalistic Viking

I've actually noticed that a lot of reactors have the same problem. Anytime they react to a scene and comment about it they stop reading the subs and barely retain anything they do. Adding twitch makes it even more difficult. I've seen a lot of people say that Luke should watch the dubs for more complex, complicated and deep anime. I actually couldn't really enjoy his reaction to the last part of code Geass season 2 because he didn't understand some of the story and character arcs and wasn't enjoying it that much himself. I actually messaged him after finishing code Geass and how he would enjoy it and others if he watched the dub since he wouldn't miss everything. But the only way he'll choose dub if that's the consensus. But would enough people actually choose dub which is better for Luke, even though it's not their favorite.

Stefan Jipa

First, congratz for finishing another series! Man the detective such cool character, who made even the boy very interesting in the end! The ending is nuts, 11/10 ep 8. So glad to hear the ending at exactly this scene and completely agree he became like the detective in the end… Leorio’s VA was peak here! R.I.P! Also that guy was Rohan/Reigen/Geto… And that line for lady cleaning Levi😂 1:41:19 we definitely don’t know who this guy might be. We should ask Ryuk

Sian Richardson

When you think about it, anyone who gets reincarnated will eventually die and end up back here somewhere in the tower. So you just keep getting reincarnated until you get sent to the void. Bit depressing.

Sian Richardson

Why are you watching then? If you are just watching for the anime, then just watch it uninterrupted on your own through official channels. It's a reaction video, so of course he's going to read comments and so on. Let him do what he wants.

Dj

Rewatching the ice skating routine including the background music, reminded me so much of Acrobatic Silky from Dandadan.

Dj

Also, Decim looks like Chiyuki's Father.
