Yes as long as Bites the dust would trigger on them they would die because they'd explode and then the time would be reset. But I don't know why it would trigger on them since Kira wouldn't be revealed through her. And the time reset should be 24h and not 1h. Maybe it's 1h because it was deactivated 1h ago?

A thing to remember for all the moment where a character just "stands" there instead of acting. You have to keep in mind that in manga, a single panel can have tons of dialogues and it happens instantly as the image is still. But in the anime adaptation you have the same amount of dialogues turned into a 30 seconds sequence. So when a character is standing there not moving, technically time doesn't pass. It's just things that happens with anime adaptation that is less noticable with original anime.

Man, I really look at this part of JoJos fondly. We had a Beauty Salon Stand, a Chef, a Manga Artist, a Flying Dead Dad Photograph, Rock Paper Scissors Stand, Sniper Rats, etc. Josuke's ability is cool too, and Koichi is a reliable guy. This part is just bizarrely fun.

When Bites the Dust activates the first time, Kira's mind goes back in time (retaining his memories as BtD is currently with him), and Bites the Dust is applied to the target. Once active, if the target reveals Kira's identity, whoever found out dies and the target's mind is sent back in time with memories of the previous loop as they have BtD on them and any time-bombs set in previous loops will still be active in the current loop as long as BtD remains active and isn't recalled, which will cancel any unexploded bombs. Kira is not sure if he can actually reactivate BtD, since the ability is so new, but assumes if he can recreate the same feeling he had when it activated the first time, it'll work again.

If you want an actual follow up to part 4, the mangaka actually made a short story for it, it has sadly not been animated, but who knows, either way, it is worth reading: "Dead Man's Questions" (( and yes, this is officially part of part 4. )) It is quite easy to locate.

Nah pretty sure it always was 1h, the first time it happened kira went back an hour and decided not to kill hayato and the other times hayato went from 8:30 to 7:30 when he just woke up

Actually, part 4 got a lot of official manga only sequels, most by Araki himself, the Rohan Kishibe one that keeps getting new short stories is the only one that has gotten anime adaptions though. There are some additional stuff, a prequel manga that ran for 3 volumes called "Crazy Diamond's Demonic Heartbreak", this was not written or illustrated by Araki, but it is an official spin-off for the part though. Plus of course some short novels. The Rohan one even has a live action film.

It was specified in the show it was 1hr... The kid got killed then time got back 1hr before he was killed. Bites the dust once the ability is activated you go back in time, the target "remembers" what happened once going back in time. OFC if you died you forgot , but if not you remember. IN that scenario what would've happened is that "woman" would've remember that HE is kira yoshikage. Then Time would go back and everyone else would've forgotten because you'd go from like 8:29AM to 7:29AM or whatever was the time there. The day hayato died, he applied bites the dust to the kid, and it went back in time. To activate bites the dust he just picks a person and then presses the switch and done, that's that. From there on, anyone who asks her stuff about him it would kill them. But his goal wasn't to use her but to just go back in time. Luke just confuses that in order to go back in time someone MUST ask "Her", he presumed that's the only way to go back in time. But that's the main way to eliminate enemies. The other way is just apply bites the dust to a target (first time). So when it is applied first time --> Goes back in time, and for each person asking -> go back in time.

I think it's perfect - Kira wanted to live a normal, quiet life (plus the little serial murderer with hand girlfriends quirk), so he died a relatively ordinary death, unnoticed by the ambulance driver Also I very much like to think that the hands that dragged his soul away are hands of all the women he killed

BITES ZA DUSTO, explained in FIVE easy steps <br> 1) Kira Feels Cornered, Is Shitting Bricks => Bites the Dust picks a human anchor (The kid, or the lady), and starts the time loop, time jumps back 1 hour, Kira remembers what got him into this mess and that he doesn't have Killer Queen. <br> 2) Human Anchor, carrying Killer Queen, tells someone or is asked by someone about Yoshikage Kira- Anyone who hears his name explodes, and time goes back 1 hour, only Human Anchor remembers what happened in the previous loop, Kira is unaware of any looping, he's just choosing his bliss and enjoying his vacation from murdering while Bites The Dust solves all his problems. <br> 3) Anything blown up/destroyed/killed during the previous loop gets blown up/destroyed/killed by Final Destination rules in the next time loop, unless Kira retrieves Killer Queen before it happens. <br> 4) Only the Human Anchor remembers each loop, and they are driven more and more to distress as the people they love and trust and go to for help, or who try to help them, are blown up and killed one after the other. That's why Kira made sure to tell the Human Anchor his name before triggering Bites The Dust. <br> 5) Once Kira checks in on the Human Anchor and decides/realises that they're looping and have killed his enemies already, he does a happy lil victory dance, waits 1 hour, then retrieves Killer Queen and goes on his merry way with no witnesses, no survivors. Then he finishes off the Human Anchor who has been driven quite mad, and resumes his peaceful life, living as harmlessly as a plant

I cannot wait to see you react to part 5! It is INCREDIBLE! I just hope you watch the bluray version, it looks a LOT better and has uncensored stand names, which is especially important for part 5, because it references more modern bands, so you're gonna recognize a lot of the musical references

16:00- regarding how the fire truck's handbrake failed and reversed over Kira's head after he got knocked flying by Jotaro <br> Part 8 gets into explaining the nature of Calamity in the JoJo universe- basically Luck is a very very real thing and all of those lucky breaks Kira had been mindlessly enjoying all of his life rubberbanded on him SO HARD right in that moment- a lifetime of Bad Luck that he should have been getting piecemeal over the decades all got concentrated into one moment to trigger Calamity. Also Luke, I'm sure it's probably too late as you record these in advance,, but you need to listen to the end credits of one of the first 19 episodes on the next season. You'll know it within the first 10 seconds of the end credits sequence if you find the right one, you'll only need to do it once and it happens on most of those episodes. The last 19 episodes of next season have multiple points where something whacky may happen in the opening sequence but I'm sure someone else will tell you about them over the next 10 weeks

All I'll say in response to Luke asking about the Bites the Dust ability is that for the purpose of springing the rest of the Stand users into action, Hayato really can't explain it perfectly. so he just says something that gets the idea across quickly. "He'll blow away time!" and "IF we don't act RIGHT NOW everyone but that lady will be blown away!" is about as quick as you can tell someone to act and why they needed to act. Bites the Dust may not "automatically" kill everyone there because it would take time for Kira to reblow everyone up. However, there's no garuntee that Bites the Dust wouldn't have activated and killed all the people that "should" be exploded by fate, as in everyone. Hayato didn't want that so he told them something mostly true to get them to stop respecting the "Talking is a free action" rule and smack Kira.

Also, just got to the ambulance bit. It's a very interesting death if you taker it more than at face value. Basically wanted to live like a plant, unnoticed. Got wrecked by a vehicle where the driver didn't notice him. There's other implications besides this obvious one, but it's like a few more inches deep than you may have thought.

We learn about what happens to kira afterwards in a spinoff series. Basically Araki confirmed that his punishment is that he’s been forced into being a ghost detective for the rest of time. So in a way, yeah, you’re right

Araki actually wrote a short story about Kira in the afterlife. It is pretty interesting, although it is very short. I would recommend you to watch Thus Spoke Rohan Kishibe, you can find it on Netflix. It takes place in between part 4 and part 5. I think Luke will be happy with all the characters in Part 5 though.

Luke is really slow at everything… he’s literally questioning stuff that was already explained before. My word, it’s getting really annoying at this point. Remember when the anime specifically showed the time on the screen? Like, when did Hayato wake up? And the entire timeline of events before Rohan blew up was literally shown on screen. You remember all that? Obviously not. PAY ATTENTION!
