this episode actually cooked icl, the direction for this episode was actually back to normal, the artwork and colours are honestly way better than the first 2 seasons and then the animation was alright for most of it and pretty decent towards the end, just a couple still frames at the start

Feel like this episode gave a pretty good sense for what we can (and can't) expect from this season. Not expecting it to be my favorite season of OPM. But I am expecting to have fun and have a few solid visual moments (and probably a few moments where I'm annoyed by long periods without animation). I am kinda feeling like the sound design isn't hitting. Its not *bad* but I noticed a lot of moments this episode where it just didn't quite seem like the timing and impact of the audio was there. Would love to see that get ironed out as the season goes on.

This season of one punch man is 100% cooked. If anyone is interested they didn't had even 3 months animating this. One frame man meme is real. Extra info in youtube short in the reply. It's from 3 months ago and not this week. I believe the hate is justified. Also some extra info in latest moistcrit1kal video. PS: Just watch luke's reaction of s1 , he kept saying "peak peak" and "top 5 anime". During S2? he kept saying: "it's good, and occasional 'peak'" , no top5 tho. During S3? "it's fine" Peak -> Good -> Fine. (pretty much based on luke's reaction so far on s1/s2/s3) PS2: remain to be seen next episode based on the fights, if it's still abe to save it. If every shot is a power point slide but the fights are good. I think that's GOOD enough to make it justice.

It's not possible for the anime to match the visual quality of the manga. The manga artist is just too good. The first episode was a slide show and OPM deserved better. The criticism was warranted even if it was farmed by Youtubers. This episode is better than the first episode and I hope they keep getting better.

That's insane. The animation is horrible. It would be better they play some music and just show the black and white manga panels, so far. Waiting for fight animation. If the fight's are good this season can be at least a 6/10.

And how dare you say Saitama ain't no hero when you seen him share his fries with a well deserving woman (omit the bill please). Yeah, it's a well made, well animated ep. 2 at least in my book.

People complaining about "slide show" are the same people who probably complained about The Beginning After the End, which was a very good show and very well animated. Again, if you want to see truly BAD animation, go watch "Poison, Wagami wo Tasukeru." THAT'S bad animation. THAT is truly slide-show animation.

I look at this season's animation and unfortunately end up comparing it to Season 1 and even season 2. It's clear that something is off. Feels like they are missing frames at times. With the thick character outlines it almost looks like Archer.

Man, wake up to reality! You’ve just said that Tbate was well animated… That’s a red flag or it’s rage bait/trolling. So you want to make a justification for OPM S3, if it’s better than Tbate(which was well animated) than this is fine… I’ve really tried to watch this season, and as someone said above I even compared to S2 and somehow, after 6 years it managed to get worse, as someone said above. I didn’t have high expectations for this and even the director of this season said we shouldn’t have high expectations for this. Seems an issue with scheduling it in the last moment by Bandai Namco. It’s by far the most popular show this season, even with this animation but the producer thought people/fans are stupid, they would love to consume anything they would throw to us. No ty Sir! Manga it’s enough and awesome
