One of my favorite episodes of any anime. A perfect end to one of the most intense and brutal fights in Jojo's. And, to be fair to Giorno, he had the right idea; the massive body of water would act as a reverse heat sink. The problem is, White Album is unbelievably OP in that it can concentrate the extreme freezing effect on a comparatively small volume, allowing him to create those ice sheets that can reach them instantly, rather than being dispersed over the surrounding water. It's such a simple stand, but it is ridiculous how powerful and versatile it is.

Yeah, White Album is the first case of a full body suit/armored stand, might be a little sentai/rider based, or just transforming heroes in general inspired.

I can attest that imo this is peak JoJo in animation so far. Part 7 and 8 have so much deeper characters and storyline. I am just saying my opinion and I have only read 15 chapters of Part 9.

to confirm what you asked, yes, the armor surrounding him is a stand, specifically its a "suit stand", a stand that the stand user wears, this is only the 2nd suit stand in the show, yellow temperence from part 3 being the 1st

I appreciate everyone freaking out over the back-and-forth in every fight, BECAUSE I WAS READING THIS AS IT CAME OUT Just imagine the same tension, the same knife's-edge suspense, only you just get a part of the fight each chapter--an exchange or two, and then you gotta wait a week for the next one (it was honestly pretty awesome, some manga live and die by "you HAVE to read the next chapter")

I get worrying about the flashback curse, but at this point literally ALL the main guys have had a flashback and they're all still fine. 😆 It's just letting us get to know the characters better. (Also the Jojo collection here on Patreon should really be updated. It only goes up to mid part 4, and there's a couple broken links for episodes in part 3)

For really real though, a top three fight by any measure. White Album is one of the most threatening side villain stands. This is right after the development that Giorno can be an main-healer if he wants. While I like the distinction between him and Josuke (fixing things vs creating life), this steps up and tells you now people can take SERIOUS damage. But this fight is over, Ghiaccho on top no injuries, without Giorno learning from Melone's Stand.

This episode was an absolute highlight of part 5 for. Mista getting inspired by Giorno to have the resolve to get shot by his own bullets with godlike animation, Giorno kicking Ghiaccio's neck to pierce a metal spike with his glorious theme playing in the background, Giorno sucking off Mista with Narancia watching - this is a damn AMAZING episode

Luke, I was also thinking why Mista’s bullets didn’t reflect the bullets away from Mista. Probably just storytelling reasons. The blood being useful and then Giorno’s entrance to be exact.

I do like part 6, I hated what Netflix did to JoJo Friday. If I go by manga alone Part 6 was really good but Weather Report powers confused me when I read it. When the anime came out I understood but the ending wasn't as good to me. However it is better than Part 3 and 1 for sure.
