This episode is good, it gives you alot of information about Bucciaratti. The Oasis fighting is cool but I look forward to next episode for the famous 7 page MUDA.

regarding the whole situation with Bucciaratti being dead but not dead, I will point out 1 thing. Remember Giorno's stand. He's able to give life to inanimate things. When Bruno died, he could've counted as inanimate. As far as I remember, there won't be a better explaination of Bruno's state, than what happens in this episode, so I'll just say it here: it could be that Giorno ressurected Bruno without Giorno knowing. Maybe some sort of Soul manipulation? We really don't know for sure, but that's the best guess I have at least. The reason I am saying this, is because I remember back when I was first watching through Jojo part 5, and the whole thing about Bruno's state came into play, I got SO disappointed when it really wasn't explained at any point, so here I am trying to explain it somewhat right now. Hopefully this makes sense to you Luke, if you'll even see this.

Luke's question about Josuke maybe helping more than Giorno is easily answered in the same way. No one can help the dead, only thing Josuke is different is he fixes broken parts and Giorno replaces with Life Energy. I thing Josuke has a great stand but Golden Experience is alot more diverse.

His body is dead but his soul is still there. I think its just because Giorno tried to save him right as he died which created an edge case.

Also you are about to witness peak in the next episode. The fight itself is one of the best in JoJo's the ending is super iconic and there is a VERY big surprise in the last second of the episode. Can't wait!!!

I wanted it to be clear as he went through the part, especially because I don't spoil anything. Didn't you read what I said? I said that I personally found it annoying when I watched it, that this wasn't explained during the part, and that I had to look for answers after it was over. Giorno and Bruno had a talk this episode where I suppose it was supposed to be explained, but it was still only vaguely talked about, and they never truly said "this is the explaination". So that is why my comment is a sort of follow up on the conversation they had in the episode; saying that yeah Giorno definitely healed Bruno, and it might be that Giorno has some secret soul like powers that we haven't seen before.

That feels like a great explaination. Usually when a character in jojo dies we see the yellow soul like thing leave their body and reach for the sky. Think avdol and iggy from part 3. We could think of that yellow cloud (or the golden wind if you want) as a representation of the soul escaping to heaven or something.

You should watch every music reference in Jojo's which are separated by parts. For Bucciarati, I think of it like the physical body and soul have different energy. Giorno pumped life energy into him as soon as he died which tied his soul to his body, but it's more like piloting it with a remote control. The battery in the body is ok, but the controller is dying and the charge port is borked so when it's dead, that's it.

Luck, When Giorno healed bucciarati back then, his soul that had left the body, came back for a little more time, that is it. It has showed that in the episode.

Basically giorno gave life to bucciarati's corpse and through sheer conviction his soul returned to pilot his body for a little longer

Not even Josuke could revive the dead. Back in part 4 he tried that to his grandfather and it's not working. I guess Josuke have a higher chance to save Buccelati because Crazy Diamond healing ability is way faster than manually replacing missing organs, but who knows

The body is "dead" because it stopped production of extra cells which means his current cells is all he has left and is also reason why he keeps lose consciousness as well as even brain has dead cells constantly. Hopefully this scientific explanation is a bit more satisfactory

Once the connection between Body and Soul is completely severed, nothing can bring someone back (short of negating the event entirely such as a time-reset). The closest we got to it was Okuyasu and Joseph, who both hadn't fully died and had enough connection left that as long as they had the will to live, they came back (though Joseph clearly suffered some long term damage from his near 5 minutes of being brain-dead that probably accelerated his health/mental issues as he got older, where as Okuyasu was alive but having an out-of-body experience due to his near-death experience and had to find the resolve to return) Josuke's grandfather on the other hand, probably just accept his death due to not realizing he'd been murdered. Now in Josuke's Case he probably COULD have revived Bruno as he was still alive when Giorno arrived (had Josuke arrived at the same time), but it took too long for Giorno to create parts and heal him that Bruno died before he could finish, and it was only that massive amount of life-energy that Giorno had infused into his body that allowed Bruno's soul latch onto his corpse and puppeteer it, but their connection had been severed. Josuke would've probably saved him, as while being restored you can't progress any further in damage since the state of the matter is being reversed, which is why he was even able to heal someone destroyed by Killer Queen as his ability prevented KQ's ability from fully disintegrating them. Now it's unclear if Josuke would be able to revive Bruno NOW, since the soul is still there and willing to return, since in theory his stand would've been able to re-build the connection between the body and soul as long as both still existed in the world to put back together.
