The flipflop on the numbers generally has to do with visual vs audio appeal. plenty of people rewatch OP's in downtime that they like but strong songs end up on peoples playlists that they listen to on the daily.

You can tell your wife to read this comment. My brother watched chainsaw man movie without seeing season 1 at all. All he knew was that, he was half devil, had chainsaw man like powers, it's a silly anime, main character is 16y dude who is a virgin and guess what, he's massively into girls and boobs. AND in this universe there are devils and hunters that fight those devils. He's in a team with humans and half-devils like him. That's all I gave my brother going into the movie, at the end he gave it 10/10. Conclusion: You don't need season 1 at all.

Yes "The Dinner Table Detective" is good :) Luke, you should look at the Gnosia. Its really, really good (it gets better with every episode) and if not at the anime, then at least at the OP. Its sung by Kobo, from hololive. Its one of the best i have listen to this year. It has 1 mil views (was released only a month ago, so it didnt have much time to grow) on youtube and 700k on spotify.

I think he's supposed to finish Naruto in January, and he's set to start one piece pretty much right after. I can't imagine he would start any later than the beginning of February.

Everything else on the list combined had 1,368,836,600 views So Kenshi alone was just over half the views everyone else combined had. 50th -> 18th combined just barely beat Iris out in total views. This was 100% his year in anime and there's just no disputing it.

I can't say whether Chainsaw Man movie is good because I couldn't stand the series. In fact, I couldn't get past second episode before asking why I was bothering to watch it. But I can say, there is a much better movie out there, and it won't come to Crunchyroll for freaking EVER at this rate! I haven't seen 90% of these anime. I've seen the first couple of episodes and dropped them because they weren't in my wheelhouse. Music wasn't that good, either, honestly. Only good one that I remember was that awesome Shangri-La Frontier OP. Otherwise, everything was rather meh. Then again, I have no attachment to the anime, and that does seem to help get peole on board with the music. I guess I'm just not into the popular stuff. I found To Be Hero X boring, which is funny because I loved, loved, LOVED The Lord of Mysteries. So. I do like some popular stuff. Just not most of it.

I’m not sure I’d feel the same watching it at home instead of in a theater, but for me it was a phenomenal experience. Then again, I watched Koe no Katachi at home a long time ago, so I might be biased. The emotional buildup in the CSM movie was so good. The first half was light hearted and fun, while the second half had me full of adrenaline even though I’d already read the source material. They are different experiences.
