Commented on YouTube but wanted to comment here as well to make sure it was seen before the next era gets started! Now that we are closing the 4 era with Luke, for BEYONCE, her self-titled fifth album, here are some tips & suggestions if you haven't yet started recording: -The album is an entirely visual album. Since you'll be reacting to the videos, I suggest the standard edition first, beginning with Pretty Hurts and ending with Blue (there should be a playlist on YouTube). There is a deluxe, but I would say the only notable songs/videos you should react to are 7/11, Grown Woman, and Flawless Remix (Live in Paris at On the Run, there's no official remix video). These 3 could be their own standalone video. -Beyoncé did an album release Q&A where she discussed the inspiration and direction for the album. I would react to this in conjunction with the next suggestion. You can find this on her official YouTube, search Beyoncé Self-Titled Screening Q&A -She released a 5 part Behind the Scenes Mini Series called “Self-Titled” on her official YouTube channel as well. I HIGHLY recommend these as they provide great insight into her mindset and artistic direction post-4. This and the Q&A you can watch before if you want an idea of how the album will sound & context for the music & videos. If you want to go completely blind you can watch them after (I suggest this). -Lastly, I’ll let the Beyhive duke out which live performances they wanna see from this era lol. You already did the 2014 VMAs so my vote is for Young Forever/Halo at On the Run :) PS….good luck with Rocket and Partition😉

You’re right. She never intended for Independent Women to be on the album because she didn’t think it fit. Him sneaking the demo kinda forced her hand. The song he sent in was actually Independent women part 2 (the original) they had to make it more pop and fit the Charlie’s Angels movie, which evolved into independent women part 1

She was pregnant here. Just the other day, Tina ( her mother) post a video of this show saying how hard it was for Beyonce. After each song, she’d run backstage to throw up. Everyone( her crew, dancers, band ect) thought she had some stomach virus. None of them knew she was pregnant. Just shows you how dedicated she is to her fans.🥹

Agree!! Biggest thing is yes please make sure to react in order Pretty Hurts -> Blue. I would also recommend watching at minimum the 5 part behind the scenes maybe after the Q&A. Then start the album afterwards

Also saying this now so hopefully you see. For Self Titled, the show you should watch is “Made in America” it’s from 2015, she headlined the music festival in Philly. It’s a great compromise since there is no official recording available for the Mrs. Carter Tour.

I can’t believe no one mentioned that she’s pregnant with Blue here! About four months preggers, and that’s why the front of her dress is draped because she is hiding the bump!!! You can see her constantly holding the dress down when she gets near the fans lol. She’s always been the best, but doing this preggers?!?! Sensational!!
