4:03 Basically on every hero's neck mark is a communication device like calling with someone on Speaker Mode all the time. And maybe the hand gesture on the neck is turn on microphone? Like push to talk lol

You called it 'rhetorical' but I will answer anyway, if they make an army of average guys immortal and they keep dying (coz they're not elite level like Xylo) they will quickly lose their senses and go nuts? I think this could be a good reason against doing that.

7:00 Luke, she did know of those orders. She purposefully changed their plan to them staying to fight to the death to hold back the Blight. The anime doesn't show it, but Xylo noticed that Kivia and her Knights all seemed to acting as if it was out of penance or something. They were involved with something that made them feel as though sending Teoritta to a safe base and dying on that battlefield would be their right fate. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It's kinda funny that immediately after saying this show isn't basic you compare it to Lord of the rings which is as basic as it can get XD. This isn't a diss against lotr it's just that lotr is considered the basis for a lot of fantasy.

Being the basis of something doesn't make it basic. Its just an established norm because it did good enough that people wanted to build other stories from the premise. So far, sentenced to be a hero seems to have an easy to follow story and they play things in the open a bit, but that's not basic. Its well written enough to make you feel like your getting the story without having to watch 4 videos explaining the lore.

They say that heroes can be revived as long as there's "a" body, I imagine they'd run out of spare corpses if there were too many, and they haven't talked about what happens if a hero isn't resurrected. Lots of questions there

I'm pretty sure that in the first episode they said that the goddesses and her heros minds and bodys are linked now, so it would make sense for her to hear it since both will die if one dies.

Seing this anime having tanks etc while also having magic and skills makes me want to rewatch I quit Heroing and Familiar of Zero lol BTW when people say the story is quite basic its because theres many anime that followed that formula (a hero being betrayed and is now clearing their name little by little... or getting revenge... Its the same as Demon slayer and thats why people said it has basic plot - We get weak protagonist being given a reason to join a fight, he becomes OP, plays a vital role in defeating the enemy) I dont think its a bad thing though... The simplicity works if its backed up by likable characters, good dialogue and proper pacing

Also just to play the devil's advocate, the messenger handing out the order DID state that Galtule leaves the "final decision" to her as the commander, so she can technically choose to obey or ignore the order, as per verbatim

Luke, the producers of this anime are the same people who gave us Mushoku Tensei. Studio Kai worked on season 1 of Mushoku Tensei
