wow i really didn t expect you to consider frieren your number 1. still, i can see why. i always think back on millet s ending from season one: Anytime anywhere. i associate the lyrics with frieren s feelings and there s a line that in english is something like: "if i were to be reborn i would choose this world again". it s a testimony to her developing sensibility and finding attachment to a world that she felt indifferent about before. i love that

In other animes a character showing dependence, trust, or strong emotions of love or loyalty towards others is seen as a red flag because these traits are put there to make you empathize with the character and make their death affect you more, they are a tool. In Frieren these emotions are not treated as a tool but just as another part of the character, the author makes them show this emotions so that you feel that they are not just a character in a story but a person that feels and lives

This anime makes me feel so much more than any other piece of media. The writing pulls the tears out of me even with the simple scenes. "Perhaps I'm glad to gain more things that are important to me." - Fern this episode Well let me tell you, the second season of this anime is exactly that to me, more things that are important to me.

This is one of the few shows I will say that the adaptation is better than the manga. They change and add certain things that only serve to improve the overall story/visuals. Some things i noticed without referencing the manga was the magic crystal cave scene, the dragon fight with the Hero's party, the walking scene up to the crossroads inn, and arguably best of all is the extra scene before bed with Fern. Such a simple episode but the team at Madhouse has not lost a single step Also sidenote, I get the same feeling watching this show. And even on the multiple rewatches since s1 finished airing. Such a special experience it is to watch this show

yea patreon is so cooked if u dont have a very good internet then it just automatically degrades personally when my internet starts acting up and does not fix itself after 10 seconds i usually just restart the whole site and then click to the spot i watched to and then its usually good quality again.

If i say i watched Frieren s01 over 60 times? :D And 3 times with you. Great journey :) Its not a spoiler but fight in trailler is not a demon king fight. The only bad thing is this season has only 10 episodes, so only 1 full arc.

I watched this ep twice, and twice I cried on OP. And I don't even know why, tears just went into my eyes. 10/10 would cry again.

If I had to say, frieren makes me feel "warm & safe" and cozy inside my heart, like a blanket and a hot drink. Not many "things" in life can do that anyway let alone an animated series. That feeling is usually reserved for the real world as that is a feeling only by living in the real world you can experience it. Yet here we are... breaking entire dimensions of what you can feel during a show.

Well hate is a strong word and I totally understand it. I also have hipster syndrome and I had to fight against as I kept "hating" on mainstream things. I actively avoided everything that is mainstream which is why I never watched game of thrones or most movies and series out there. I picked anime because it was niche, no one knew about, "hipster". Of course now anime is popular and jujutsu kaisen is so popular that it actively takes away from my joy. This is sad. Those people (just like me) that just dislike popular stuff, this is what I call "depression", because what you want in life is to enjoy stuff without being interrupt by external disruptors.. Hope I can explain why. For me frieren doesn't feel popular at all, beside like 3-4 people i talked that knew frieren, most don't. But they do know jujutsu kaisen and AOT. So yeah...

I don't know if you're aware, but Kinema Citrus has announced the sequel: 6 films. Same team and still Kevin Penkin on music. The first, “Made In Abyss : Awakening Mystery,” is coming out this year. If you loved season 1 for its journey, lore, and mysteries, you're going to love the sequel ;).

Just watching this reaction now, and no Frieren didn't drop her staff, she can't even summon it in the cave, it was Stark axe, and at that time Frieren case was also on the ground. Since they have the case and axe in the end, we can just assume they just grab those after the first attack.
