ruby is the definition of necessary evil in this show right now and it works for now.

Honky

My favourite parts of the episode were the opening and ending songs i wasn't really feeling this one like most other episodes T_T

Ray H

Diabolical

DRACO

Ruby playing the risky games bro...

Thank you for continuing to react to this show Luke. You are absolutely right. It is so good and so underrated now.

I can see where the Director is coming from. He most likely got the job because he is pushing boundaries with his old-timer style. However how he behaved OUTSIDE the shoot made him seem like an asshole as well. Ruby knows exactly what she is doing the only problem is that she is unable to see which direction she needs to turn her attention. As soon as she gets pointed in a direction, by as example ichigo, she is able to do what she needs to to get closer to her goal.

Provoking a bad buzz / good buzz for the show, increasing its visibility (so hers and Aqua's) + bringing solution, allowing her to rise into the show business

Camori

I'm not certain if Ruby wrote the questions or if she just knew the director would ask inappropriate questions bc of who he is... but I'd say it is a sure bet that Ruby picked Tokyo Blade as the cosplay subject and caused the costume mix-up somehow (maybe she deleted the emails) in order to get Kanna on the show and further increase the popularity of B-Komachi.

If I am correct, they said that Ruby invited this girl, who wrote a twit. Wouldn`t be surprised if in the next episode they reveal that this girl already had some drama in the past and that`s why Ruby picked her. As for WHY Ruby did all that: Well, she mentioned couple times on set that SHE came up with the idea, which would attract audience to her. Also, all of the staff on set knows that Ruby saved the show and their asses. Director, AD and others are now kind of obliged to her. Remember what Kaburagi told Aqua back in season 1: "In this industry, if I make you obliged to me now, I will have an advantage over the others in future when you get famous". I get this works for this as well: now both D and AD are obliged to Ruby, so now she would get more gigs. Lastly, I find the difference between "Evil Aqua" and "Evil Ruby" absolutely amazing (or it is better in this case to refer to them as doctor and Sarina). When Aqua was on his revenge journey and he had to use others, he always questioned himself and also helped the others on numerous occasions: Filming of Dorama with Kana, saved Akane in reality show, saved Tokyo Blade and also saved Kana during the play. When he could have lied to Akane after reality show and simply say that he loves her and their relationships are for real, he hesitated and didn`t say it. Despite him going psycho about Ai, he still keeps his morality in check. MEANWHILE Ruby is completely unhinged and is ready to use absolutely anyone and anything to achieve her goal. So far there is nothing that could stop her and she looks kinda fine with it. I guess this clearly shows the difference of "Adult doctor" and "little girl" being broken down

I fully agree the show is being slept on, which is a real shame. I think this is largely because manga readers were burned by the ending, and lots of anime fans have heard the ending is bad, so it's hard to get invested if you know it's going to disappoint. I personally hate that mindset, since the journey is just as important as the destination, and OnK has a lot of great moments. Plus if he was willing to change the Love is War ending, he might alter the OnK ending a bit as well, so people really should give the show a chance.

kai_sama98

Damn... Little bit redemption for the director😂😂😂 I forgot about that cosplay thing.

kai_sama98

Ruby trying to bait the father to come to her if she gets more popular.

Rem is best waifu

Ruby is ruthless, she had her heart broken and this is her Joker Arc.

Joshua Vaughn

The dad isn't dead. We seen him at the end of season 2. And we don't know who he is, just what he generally looks like.

WONG KOON YU EDEL

And I don't think the Oshi no Ko ending is that bad either.

Kyle Garrett

I agree. The ending wasn't bad, it just wasn't satisfying. Anime Only's heard that, plus another rumour / concern that circulated about the show, and probably combine those together and assume the ending is a lot worse than it actually is.

SheerReaper

yea this season is great so i'm sticking around longer

nicolai arpintin

I dont like the ending on this.... We dont know whereas the director actually spent time designing the costume, if it was all done by Ruby, what she did was incredibly messed up, and im usually not that loud about something, aaaaaa

zaseum tikoro2

why do you want to see the Dad that badly? in case you didnt catch it last season, the Dad is literally Light Yagami, he even has the same voice actor . The dead giveaway was when the crazy stalker died by suicide after killing Ai is such a Death Note way of killing.

Hououin Kyouma

I wish they had added the Kaguya cameo appearance in the anime as well.
