This episode was done phenomenal! Yet again Shota Goshozono is in the role for being the Storyboard of this episode. This is his 5th time which is in a row. No wonder it looks so cinematic and artistic. The choices are on point for each cut and scene. I heard that Shota Goshozono was acting as Yuji for the rotoscoping of that 4 minute cut scene. He is truly the Golden Director for an anime like Jujutsu Kaisen. Dude can make a battle shounen into a cinematic philosophy fantasy life-changing show lol. This episode particularly only done by 8 Key-Animators. They have 57 people as the Second Key-Animator though, no wonder because all that character acting at the end. Animation was on point, they escalated the scene so much and It makes the scene rememberable. That whole atmosphere built up was amazing, and the Principal scene at the beginning was beautifully done. Not even 1 complain for it. The backgrounds and colors are just perfect. This is truly Gosso Cinema. Gosso aka Shota Goshozono.

(Copied from another channel) What is Mappa doing ? It's such a bad adaptation and direction AGAIN. The panda scene was supposed to be emotional, something you'd see at the end of a episode. Why putting it before and follow it up with tthe opening, goofy scenes and characters. (I love Hakari so much). It's so out of place i think. If i rember it correctly in the manga the Panda chapiter happened BEFORE Maki massacre. Also please Mappa, stop with the cinematic bullshit, i came to see a anime, not a Scorsese movie.

That 4 minute cutscene at the end really brings up the atmosphere and the tense. Like this camera angle giving us the feel of someone hearing the conversation at the corner of that room quite literally. Not to mention the character acting animation, the light flicker on the CCTV screen, the sound effects on the fabric on each movement, the phone ringing making you starting to feel anxious about the scene was phenomenal touch. This is where the cut was literally carried most of it by voice acting and sound design. Such a talented voice actors and sound designer. The way that Gosso planned this scene alone was perfect. And the flow of the conversation was insane it didn't felt like 4 minutes at all. The episode went so fast. It's the type of scene that you could not forget about. It made the scene more rememberable. The moment of silence from Hakari and Yuji when the phone rang was literally realistic and when Hakari pours the drink while he knew that Yuji was lying to him about not knowing Gojo and him split the sentence about led by Jujutsu High while drinking really nice structured moment there. And after that Yuji raise his hands up to Hakari and trying to tell him but it's too late and he attacked Yuji throwing the glass that he drank was again very well structured from the director. And ends with them yelling was a perfect end.

It's not on MAPPA's choice, it's the director's choice/vision aka Shota Goshozono aka Gosso. I don't think in this particular case is bad for trying new things or being experimental on it. Because the sheer quality that these staff has gave us/working on it literally made it passable. It's a creative mind greed which I don't mind on Gosso side because the amount of amazing staffs that could backup on the animation. Freedom animation is good when it comes to JJK that's why every scene is unique and has every artistic style to it.

I was slightly disappointed how fast paced the portion with Yaga's death was, but you need to be out of your mind to call this a bad adaptation in any way. At most its experimental rarely to its detriment but thats way more than worth it for all the wonderful animation and storytelling it creates.

I screamed in frustration when the episode ended when I watched it this morning, such an annoying place to stop! And I share the love for the direction and art and voice acting of this season so far, it has been so so good.

I absolutely loved the almost constant idle movement this episode. Specifically at the end, cause Itadori were almost always doing something the whole time Hakari was talking. And the animation for character movement this whole season has been amazingly smooth. Wouldn't be surprised if they used mocap

Yeah I've read the Manga so I know everything was here, hence the "slightly". With how nice the adaptation is, I would've liked to see it done a bit slower to be more impactful even if they don't add or change any scenes, but that would be extra so I'm not complaining.

She very clearly has cleavage, so not flat. Panda later on uses genderless language to refer to Kirara and she's referred to as a girl in every other instance so to me it seems clear panda was referring to who she was in the past. Obviously it would be fine if she was a boy who liked to cosplay as a girl but I think the most plausible explanation is that she's gender non-conforming at the least and a trans woman at most. Either way it's simply rude to refer to a character as a different gender than what most people in the series refer to them by

I love the ending scene, even if this is how it ends. Entire scene felt intense like a movie. The fact that Yuji didn’t even consider lying after his blunder, lmao Who’s Gojo🤭 I wonder if we’ll get another episode influenced by movies made by grade film directors

So the shot of Hikari and Yuji talking was shot with a rotoscope, basically they will record people doing the movements and then draw over the camera footage frame by frame so that the movement looks more natural. It's a pretty cool thing! After episode 6 one of the lead animators contracts was up and they pulled a new one in which caused the delay. And with the new animator you see a lot of this technique in episode 7.
