This episode is basically a royal rumble death match. Luke with the prewatched commentary. Also the Guard just got the Stand so he wasn't consciously summoning meteorites however if he grown to control it I am sure it would be a world ending stand.

Barack O. Llama

luke the super strength is part of the power. its super strength so of course its stronger than a normal person

Barack O. Llama

luke this is the discs explained in a super simple way. white snake's ability is to extract people's memory and stands using discs. he can take them out, put new ones in or even edit someone's memory disc. if white snake uses his ability at all on someone then it will create their memory and stand disc therefore now that they exist they can be knocked out of someone as we see when people are defeated. thats why stand users from previous parts dont have discs since white snake hadn't interacted with them therefore the discs hadn't been created yet. so with the guard his disc popped out because he was knocked unconscious but the disc went back in because he woke up

Honky

Great fight

Brynden

If Whitesnake gives someone a Stand disc, then anyone else can remove that disc if they hit them hard enough. Also, what I understood from the Survivor flashback is that Dio told Pucci who was the original user of Survivor and then Pucci stole it from him with his Stand (since Dio can't give and remove Stands by himself)

Honky

You might mean this, but its not really super strength its more the ability to completely ignore the pain threshold and limit of your body, it's like if i punch a wall angrily i won't punch it hard enough to break my bones cuz i know i shouldn't, this ignores that and makes me punch as hard as i can without thinking of the repercussions and I'd shatter my arm

Jacowab

Chat-"no Luke you don't get it he's like using 100% of his power and we can all do that if we are mad enough." Jolyne at 4:38-"his movements are beyond what humans can do."

Barack O. Llama

19:05 yes luke you indeed do not know much about this lol. with how fast they are moving the heat means absolutely nothing and has no time to transfer into a person. in fact the only part of the body that would be affected by the heat would be exactly on the surface of where the meteorite hits you which would help cauteriser the wound. so the heat most likely does nothing or it may burn the wound close a bit. its the same way that the human hand can touch molten metal if you're in contact for less than a second.

Fun Facts: the guards stand name is Planet Waves. I believe it is a Phil Collins song but Araki originally wanted to name it Earth, Wind, and Fire but he remembered he already used that for the Alien in Part 4. The Thread going into the birthmark is the only time you will see a stand come from a birthmark until Part 8.

John Adrian Villegas

id say Cioccolata would be the most brutal.... bro was fighting with just his torso and right arm

JammySplosha

white snake can remove peoples stands and memories by turning them into DISCs, but once those things have been turned into DISCs, they stay as DISCs while not being inside of the DISCs original owner, meaning they are susceptable to being removed by things that arent White Snake, like defeating or badly hurting a DISC user. kinda like a puzzle piece, the person and the DISC dont match, so ejection is possible. thats how i understand it at least.

Filip

I'm with you on this one, I don't mind the bizzardness :D but when they explain it and it doesn't make any sense, than I'm not a fan :D and part 6 is sort of mix of this. This part have a lot of crazy and amazing fights with great scientific explanations, that you just have to wonder how the hell Araki came up with this stuff, but on the other hand, this part also has like three or four absolutely amazing fights with the worst explanation ever, that makes no sense. :D

Roli D. Great

Love how Luke fumbles and says WWWE instead of WWE at the start of the video xD

Jacowab

White Snake when making contact can turn aspects of people into disks, if the disk is not a natural part of someone (like a stand that is not originally theirs or a memory that has been modified to remove Pucci) then it will remain in hem as a disk and that disk can be knocked out of them by a heavy blow or death. Guard Westwood from this episode had a stand that is not his own so a heavy hit from jolyne knocked it out until he recovered from the hit. Sports Max from the previous few episodes had a memory that had been modified to remove Pucci and only show white Snake so when they defeated him the modified memory disk popped out.

Barack O. Llama

Yeah that I agree with it’s more just the fact that he was running up walls lol

Recall

The Survivor stand does nothing but makes the targets i bit of anger, which if left alone will go away on its own, but if not it will snowball into them feeling so angry that they lose their sense of pain and the limiters that the human brain puts on them making them able to go all out to the point of breaking their body until they die. Also everybody being able to fight can just be explained with them being prisoners and guards with some added jojo's exaggeration.

Barbietube

I like how Jolyne was worried that her first thought was killing anyone in her way, but then she proceeded to give the guard injuries worse than death

DecoyBlackMage

Stand name: PLANET WAVES ! Named after the Bob Dylan album from 1974. Current user: Viviano Westwood. The power set of this one is actually pretty fun, then again most of the stands in part 6 are fun so that kind of just comes with the part I feel, and flat out this one fight is probably one of my absolute favorites in the part, the manga version especially, it is flat out a brutal grind you into dust no holds barred due to the influence of Survivor not only turning off peoples limiter and boosting their anger and aggression, but also their urges and just making them very much want to show off their power.

DecoyBlackMage

The secondary aspect of Survivor letting them also see the strong parts of a person and understand the beauty in them is also an interesting part, combine this with Planet Waves and Stone Free and we just have a really damn fun fight.

Exxyo

What White Snake was talking about with Dio wasn't his own stand, he was talking about Survivor, he asked Dio to "hand him" the power in the sense of letting him take it if he needed it some day. As far as we know, he was born a stand user/had the hability of white snake before meeting Dio. Also my guess on the logic on the discs is that if someone gets hit by a stand or stand user in the head really hard, the disc can pop out.

LireKlein

I love how this stand looks like one of those "make a superpower bad" discussion, because yes Planet Waves can summon meteors, but they're always aiming at the user. And then they make it great again by using grappling.

Zackary Romblad

I love this episode, and I haven't been reading comments for a few episodes (since Torrential Downpour Warning) because a lot of these episodes are meh by comparison. But I warned Luke about this in Part 5. The ideas Araki, the manga creator, was working with in this part are a bit more wild and out-there. If you don't think along with the viewing it may be hard to follow, but given time to digest (as you are doing with your pauses and thoughts) will help you with the overall balancing act and feng shui of the season. Keep at it, it will make sense overall. Here is the easiest explanation behind Whitesnake from what you've seen. He is between close and medium 'RaNgE' and has some power and a lot of speed (probably about less of both than King Crimson but more than say Stone Free). He can do some mental tricks if given a lot of time (the goo room). But his bread and butter is the Stand and memory Discs. He can take them, and he can give them both. What Dio meant before in the flashback was, "Oh you can go and grab Survivor if you want, maybe it'll be useful some day." We see him take Jotaro's disks because he has both a stand and memories, and he gave Foo Fighter's their sentience by giving them a memory disk. He can also change people's memories, kind of like Heaven's Door putting a memory disk into them that he writes using his stand (think the frog he made jump at the guard during the frog raining, WS must have made it on the spot), or rewrites the memory disk they naturally have being human and all. Hope this helps Luke or anyone confused by Pucci's Whitesnake so far. (P.S. Discs usually appear outside when someone is KO'd, its happened a few times)

Zackary Romblad

Also, landing a kick and saying, "I win" is like a certified super-loss in this anime. Saying "I win" or "I won" is already like 95% chance of loss.

Magic Fibre

If someone who has disks in their head falls unconscious, the disks will slide out halfway from their head. If they wake up, the disks will slide back in, unless someone took them. The disk came out from guard's head because he fell unconscious. They went back in his head because he woke back up.

Sai

4:47 - Not you with your small body at least XD (and for sure not me!)

DrA

You should react to 'A Million Amelias - Skyebrows' Look up the context if you don't know btw.

Magic Fibre

The dude can't end the world. The meteors are always pulled towards him and they always disintegrate before they hit him. They cannot hit the ground. Well... unless he summoned debris from the other side of the planet and made it dig through the entire planet to reach him?

DrA

BTW, in the manga Narushiso Anasui appears as a woman at first as it's explained his ability allows him to change genders as he feels. Though the anime version didn't include this.

Bryan Ross

I know it's probably never coming back, but it would be so cool to see Jolyne channel Hamon through her threads as an attack

Wakuza

just so you know Luke when Jolyne took that boots the way you look when you talking at that point specifically 27:04 you sir look like a crazy person

LireKlein

Not true, Araki simply wanted Anasui to be a woman at first then changed his mind, nothing to do with his stand. That's an headcanon the community made up after to explain the change in an humorous way.

MK Gamer

9:50 i think the disk come out if it isnt his own, like if you KO a person no disk will pop out, but if white snake took a disk and gave it to someone then that someone got Knocked out the disk will pop out of him

bryanPSX

the anime says it brings up the "fighting spirit" but i would say it unlocks his "brain limiter", that allows one to use more force from his muscles to the point that they can tear apart (it's a real thing, we use 1/3 of our real strenght, for good reasons, so yes it's superhuman because normally humans can't remove it), obviously a dude that is already strong (like that mf prison guard) is stronger than a coughing baby you know?

rory

please please please listen to the deleted songs Congratulations and First Burn! they are so incredibly powerful you will not regret it!!

Frentzy

the disk goes out when you are unconscious, and they go back in automatically when you regain it

Frentzy

20:04. All final bosses of jojo had "time" based abilities in part 3,4,5

Moshi

Viviano Westwood is named after fashion designer Vivienne Westwood, while Planet Waves is a Bob Dylan album.

Moshi

Luke, 44 metric tonnes of meteorites fall on earth each day. They absolutely wouldn't kill her if she was hit by three of them - rather, the fact that those three were that big and still flaming is the unscientific part here. They would, indeed, be very heavy though.

IAintSubbin

Risotto vs Doppio was pretty brutal too

Gabriel Macedo

The discs come out automatically if you either die or goes unconscious The guard woke up before the disc was removed by Jolyne so the disc just went back in And yes all discs are a creation of whitesnake That's his ability, to make memories and stands/souls into physical objects(discs) so they can be collected and swapped

Kanogawa_Hiro92

I hate how Luke talks out of his ass, acting like he knows exactly what the author was thinking. There's a reason he's just a reactor and not a writer. Also, why the hell is he applying real world logic to a show that literally has 'Bizarre' in its title

The Royal Court of Princess Donut

You know I’ve watch this part so many times and somehow it has taken me this long to realize FF is Killuas voice actress
