I think Kazuma may have a hidden debuff against grunt enemies and a buff against demon king generals. Though, granted. Boss enemies are usually a bit easier to deal with considering they are usually alone.

"Kazuma actually did something?!" A detail about Kazuma that often gets forgotten is he has an absurdly high luck stat. The problem is that Aqua's luck is so abysmally low that it usually cancels out. Kazuma being in "top condition" when he teams up with Chris is a demonstration of how powerful he could be if Aqua (and to a lesser degree Darkness and Megumin) weren't holding him back. Also, Megumin being excited about the "mysterious noble thief" is because she's a Crimson Demon, and they love cringey melodramatic bullshit like that.

In my first watch of this season, I wasn't impressed at all, I think they overdid it a bit with the visual jokes (distorted/childish faces and such) and some other jokes didn't land as good as they did in the previous seasons. But, honestly, it's still pretty f'ing good. It's just that the second season and the movie were absolute PEAK comedy, so the comparison is a bit unfair.

When I first watched this season, i always figured that Kazuma being so capable was just due to him actually needing to take something seriously for once (something that wasnt horny lol). He needed to become a theif to protect Iris, so he got serious about it. Each member of the gang have incredible potential, and Kazuma has been shown to be very smart even throughout the episodes, its just it always back fires due to some bad luck, but when ever there is real danger, he is the one to coordinate the group in a way that defeats the devil king. Without Kazuma, the gang would never be able to coordinate themselves to create a capable plan

Kazuma became capable because he was wearing Vanir's mask. He mentions improved circulation, clear complexion, and being in top condition. That was Vanir's sales pitch to get him to buy the mask, but it actually worked. Kazuma also mentioned enjoying Mitsurugi's negative emotions, which is what devils feed on. He was basically cosplaying and acting like Vanir.

It was actually mentioned in the first episodes of S1 that Kazuma has mediocre stats across the board, with the exception for his incredibly high luck stat (while Aqua had very high stats, except for intelligence). So, he's actually good to be around. It is also a running gag that because of his incredibly high luck he has never lost at rock-paper-scissors, until now.

Loved the soundtrack during the castle raid - it was so un-Konosuba-like. And that ending was so wholesome - Kazuma stealing her ring was her dream come true.

Since bro's nerfed to shit by the 3 dumbasses, he's constantly in a 90% nerf state compared to what he could actually be w/ his loadout etc. There is a side story about this too, where Kazuma & one of the main side characters swap parties for the day, dude can't take it anymore than that, whereas Kazuma is glazed 24/7 by his party for being so busted as a squad while he's leader.

Mediocre stats, except for above average INT & practically maxed LUK* Inversely, Aqua has below average INT & practically abysmal LUK (the joke is that she's in such a shithole situation because of Kazuma kidnapping her by choice), but other stats are 100% maxed out

You remember Irises lines wrongly, because she said: "The necklace was a gift TO her brother". Irises brother is Prince Jatice, who Aldarp (the pervy lord) mentioned is best suited to Marry Darkness. Now considering Aldarp wants to get Darkness, what do you think his goal with the mind swap necklace was.

I love it how Luke cooks with his theory at 57:58 and gets about 90% right, but then is hilariously wrong in the last part. It really developed into a Luke classic in the past years.
