Ah shiboyugi, The opening the gives literally nothing away about the series.

Kye Bishop

Golden kamuy is a must watch

Greybeard

Journal with Witch (Ikoku Nikki) is the hidden gem of the season. It's easily the best anime of the season for me. I'm sure you'll love it! Another opening you should watch is "You and I Are Polar Opposites." It's such a feel-good, drama-free romcom that will make you smile like an idiot the whole time.

ozack

Anyone know if Luke has stopped reacting to hells paradise?

MatiX

You need to check out Champignon Witch op and Torture Princess s2 op. Both are underrated ops from this season

Ara Araragi

Other OPs that deserve attention: -You and I are Polar Opposites -Tis Time for "Torture," Princess s.2 -Tamon's B-Side -The Case Book of Arne -Champignon Witch -Yoroi Shinden Samurai Troopers

Touhou RS

Shiboyugi needs way more recognition. Definitely the biggest hidden gem this season.

Kyle Garrett

No he's scheduled to release 7&8 today since he was gone last week.

BondePower

Shiboyugi is such a hidden gem this season, i adore it

GTB

Shiboyugi is a real hidden gem. It's an excellent psychological death game. By far the best to date. You're right to use the word vibe, it perfectly describes the show's approach. The art-style and the direction are insane. The opening doesn't give what the show is about, but ... it makes sense with it. Journal With Witch is a masterpiece in every way. And I can say with certainty that this show is made for you. The parents of a teenage girl die in an accident. Her aunt, who has no maternal instincts and did not get along well with her sister, asks to become her guardian. A wildly elegant anime about grief and parenthood, and moving as fuck. It is the second highest-rated anime this season on MyAnimeList (Frieren is the first one). OST by Kensuke Ushio (A Silent Voice/ Orb/ Heavenly Delusion/ DanDaDan/ Chainsaw Man)

Tsusaku Cohenat

The ending of Frieren is one of the best, for me, of this season. Its the only one, i have listened to every time. No other OP or ED was for me so interesting to listen to it more than once or two times. I watch too many series evey season (20+) and i just didnt find any other song, that interesting to listen to it more. It really has to be something, that catch me. Like say last season, its the OP of GNOSIA. Its been 18 episodes and i just never missed it. The 19 one that aired couple of days back, has a new OP and i was sad. It a nice song, but nowhere near Disguise (the name of the song).

Zet

What they have done with the atmosphere of Shiboyugi is amazing. It doesn't feel rushed, it's slow paced at some scenes, the background palette looks artistic and well crafted for this type of show. You should definitely give it a try when you have a slot open.

DecoyBlackMage

Golden Kamuy is that series that deserves the entire manga on your shelf, it is a fantastic set of characters and the story has far more heart in it then people expect, there is also has a lot of cake !

DRACO

Hate to say it but There are 67🤷🏻 Episodes for Golden Kamuy in total with this Final Season lol.

DRACO

Out of the three shows I would immediately pick Journal The Witch, please watch it Luke. Make it the sacrifice for your own Anime pick slot.

Honky

I neeeeeed a You and I are polar opposites op reaction if you haven’t yet

Alderanex

Shiboyugi (or shibou yugi) surely is different for an anime, and the Op got me, that‘s why I recommended it. And it „hits“ hard when you watch it. Does the camera not move like it‘s the POV of a person that drops down onto, turns and walks on the highway? It‘s eerie. Also, the song is called ~Ersterbend (German for ceasing, leaving (existence)) and by LIN from MADKID, you might know them.

Cody Verhey

I recommend these for another video: You and I Are Polar Opposites OP Tamon's B-Side OP Tis Time for Torture Princess OP 2 Golden Kamuy ED 5

Nellyk

I hope you get to see Golden Kamuy one day. It's a good story with creative characters, i dare say it's similar to Gintama in a sense where it has a serious story part and lots of comedy scenes mixed in although not really parodies. Another plus is that you get to learn a bit about Japan's indigenous people the ainu as well.

Zer0

Shiboyugi is a story about a deranged world.

Lu C

Other great OPs I recommend to react are Tamon's B-Side and Champignon Witch. Please react to the Golden Kamuy S5 ED, it's great. Please react to the Journal with Witch, it's really great :)

AlsiusHaku

journal with witch is such a good series! Would love to see you react to it!

Marcio Neves

And also Jack of All Trades 👏

Salieri

i love that you're taking the initiative to discover more of the things that peak your interest, so many things are so good but have no intention of being "hype" so they lose out on public presence, yet so often have the earnest communities with them. exited to see any choices you make in the future :D , and here is my little wish; hopefully Space Brothers gets its chance in some future

yorozuyapetel

Journal with witch does have a strong connection to books but I honestly never thought of it like that, it’s always so impressive when I watch you how quickly you can pick up on a core message of a video

patros36

I would compare it to jojo, as it can blende crazy characters with a serious and interesting story.

TrySky

NOO YOU DIDNT WATCH THE TIS TIME FOR TORTURE PRINCESS OPENING LUKE PLS ITS THE BEST OP OF 2026

Makotheq60

Any min now right? 😢

Ninja-Chan_YT

I recently made an underrated openings video (based on a low number of views), but you would be surprised how many underrated anime songs are out there. The openings that never get talked about because they are from older anime, or maybe the series didn't perform well. I hope to see you explore more underrated songs Luke! Its a great way to discover more music and shine a spotlight on songs that need more love.

I've been catching up with Journal With Witch because of the buzz around it. Best mistake of my life. I've been curled up in a ball from my eyes getting dehydrated all the time. Definitely a contender for AOTY. All I can say is that the different stages of grief are not a hard rule for dealing with our emotions and thoughts during difficult times, but rather a guideline of what could be expected during the process. Not everyone goes through all of them, some people might go through the same stage multiple times, across many years, because grief is personal and unique to each situation and relationship

Billy Dowd

Golden kamuy is easily my favorite manga I've read and one of my favorite anime as well. It would be awesome to see your reaction to the series.

The Ganon Cannon

Yess, I love space brothers. It has some of the best endings ever, in my opinion. Hope he checks those out as well soon.

Sai

Golden Kamuy hype! Where is Roll Over and Die?

Mason

No one recommending the new fate? that one for me is better than zero and stay night atm

Nikkelz

Strange/Fake is confirmed for after gachiakuta so likely people don't feel the need to request it anymore.

Paper Panda

Shiboyugi: Death Games is GENUINE cinema. Even just reacting to episode 1 would be an incredible experience, it is like a movie. It is breath taking and insane. I really hope you watch it.

T L

100% agree. Shiboyugi is my favorite new anime of the season, it's absolutely stunning and hunting at the same time. The first episode would make a perfect one-off reaction at the very least.
