Please read the comics after you finish, it helps fill in any gaps missed in the show. Mostly adds too it, bc it doesn’t leave much not wrapped it, this show is perfection, but they’re pretty good and worth it.

You’re right, the voice acting in this show is peak. Toph VA did a reaction reaction series of this show called Teatime with Toph, where she’d watch the show and drink Avatar themed tea and talk about the show. She even had guests of other VAs the show, it was great.

It’s never confirmed but my read has always been that Ursa killed Azulon to stop him from killing Zuko and that’s why she had to flee. Also, Ursa and Ozai’s backstory is only ever expanded in the comics. It’s pretty dark. Thing is, neither Katara or Toph are wrong. It’s just a major difference in perspective and valuing teamwork vs independence. Which makes sense given both their backgrounds, but of course they’re teenagers so we see them struggle to explain themselves and resolve those differences. Thank god for everyone’s favorite therapist Iroh stepping in and being a safe, chill adult for Toph to talk to. I love how he always just kind of vibes with the Gaang and clearly doesn’t have anything personal against them even tho he supports Zuko on his quest too lol

Yeaahhhh just a "show for children" 🤣 Believe me, there are animated series "for children" that are very mature, even dark (The Owl House, Over the Garden Wall, Infinity Train, etc.)

Ooooh, thats good. I never came to that conclusion. I always assumed that Ozai killed him. But if so, why did she leave? But earlier in the episode she even hints at it. I think Azula was 100% telling the truth. And like Ursa said, "Zuko, that's how mothers are. You mess with their babies and...." She spelled it out, right then and there. There is also another clue, but I won't what it is. I'm sure you know what I mean. Something that Ozai said later.

may have a lot of cartoonish themes at times but they get there for real, like adventure time, SU, flapjack, gravity falls, proper storys and worlds but not that on the surface

Even if its no said out loud it seems almost obvious that Ursa made a deal with Ozai to kill his father so he could take the throne in exchange for not getting rid of Zuko which he would have done without hesitation

you've seen nothing yet, i guess now it isn't a spoiler to say, but zuko's character development is by far my favorite out of all media i've seen, and i've seen most of what you have watch here.

The symbolism of Zuko telling the boy that the two swords are meant to be used together mirrors his own internal conflict. Rather than the world rejecting the idea of the swords belonging as one, it is Zuko himself who struggles to accept that both parts can coexist. He rejects parts of himself, hiding who he truly is while still carrying deep shame over his identity and past. The layers of this writing!!!

It's not explained in the show, so it's not really a spoiler (but fair warning...) Iirc... Ozai was actually going to kill Zuko as ordered. Ursa wouldn't allow that so she agreed to help Ozai become Fire Lord in exchange for sparing Zuko. Ursa killed Azulon and Ozai as Fire Lord banished her. I think that's what it was. Either way, his mother was banished, she's not dead. Her whereabouts is only gets addressed in the comics and the show doesn't even confirm whether she's alive or not.

It was shown through the camera angles - Iroh was distracted by Toph. He was surprised to see her there and Azula used that moment to attack him.

I’m not sure! I haven’t read the comics, so I know there’s more info but not exactly what’s confirmed. And as far as book three I only really remember Ursa being mentioned once or twice where it was like, teasing the mystery but not actually giving any information.
