I don’t think Luke understands that all these teams are stronger than Seijoh

I understand your point but you have to consider that designing these volleyball matches is hard. If I was the author I would save my brain power and resources in showing matches that actually matter. These practice matches are them just practicing these new skills over and over, failing and getting better gradually. It would be nice but we don't need to see that, we already know that's what happening. The small bits of them trying their new skills and failing is all we need to see, we don't need to see them losing full matches on camera, it would be cool I guess but it's just filller at the end of the day, even if it's fun. For the most part the author shows full matches only when it matters to the narrative. I personally would hate it tbh, it would make the pacing more slow than it needs to be. All the small bits + the 3v3 match + that final practice match against Bokuto's team is all we need. We will get our entertaining matches later when it matters (but you already know all of this at this point) I think the strong point of this arc is the character development and the fun interactions between new characters, I never felt the lack of "game time" because of that.

Training is not always incremental. Some times you just suck until you do it enough times that it clicks for you. Also, real training takes so many hours. They could show more in-depth and "accurate" training now, but then you'd be complaining that all the actual matches are too rushed because they ran out of time.

The first cock is here and we get meat after!!!

My dog passed away this morning and I really needed a distraction. These reactions always make me happy so thanks for always being a positive spot in my week.

Bro thinks they are gonna become pros instantly, like dude chill tf down

Majoz

Nah bro they just showed u azumane get an ace from a jump serve and 2 seconds after you complain that u dont see them get better, u mean either ur blind or idk

Kiwi

Luke's thoughts of Tsukishima's feelings and predictions were wayyyyy off this stream lmao

As someone who thinks the best sports anime are the ones that focus on the characters and their relationships first, and the sport second, I do find it interesting how much Luke wants to watch the practice matches. Like for me this is a great training arc, since it's all about their mental state and overcoming their own doubts or the friction on the team. I'd honestly find it boring if a full episode, or even half an episode, was a practice match where we just watch the boys repeatedly miss all the stuff they're trying to learn, with maybe one 'good' moment in each match to symbolize progression.

Luke maybe just pay more attention?? How are you gonna say you havent seen any progress after they just showed a scene where Asahi got a service ace? Doing the jump server that he didnt do before and has been practicing and failing all this time... You keep saying you want to see the games but thats like literally impossible? They play many games everyday... Do you want to see a season of 100 training games of them just practicing the stuff they're trying and failing?

Idk if anyone mentioned it, they were kinda giggling in chat about it lol but the foot logo as their sports t shirt brand is actually a Japanese pun! The brand is meant to be "asics" and in japanese, its pronounced with an 'sh' sound, and "ashi" is foot in Japanese lol its real clever from the mangaka

Maximum possible height is genetic. If you're malnourished, you won't get as tall as your genes would let you with a proper diet. But past the point of sufficient nutrition, eating more won't make you any taller. That's why average height in the US shot up from the beginning to the end of the 20th century. Humans didn't evolve to be taller in that short time - improvements in technology and social safety nets reduced the amount of malnourishment overall, so people more regularly reached their potential maximum height.

He wants to see the matches themselves and not just the talking XD
