Kitsune

missed small after credit scene

Lelouch Vi Britannia

i agree, this season so far has felt like a huge downgrade compared to season 1

SleppyPanda

I would not say huge also not over yet and the best is yet to come

FatherThiccWang

hoodwinked was an absolute trip for anyone

The director is a new director. And you can "feel" there is an issue because of that. I don't wanna throw shades, but if there is someone to be blamed it is him. he is the one that direct the budget where it should go so if he decide to cut manga content he can do as such. Sure it is not 100% his fault but we clearly got the budget here and the team behind so if something is lacking in creative department it is him. If he cuts the wrong stuff or not offer enough animation for the viewer ... is it the studio's fault or director's fault.

Wakuza

welp its over peace are unattainable now all because of the damn politicians wanting to fill their pockets and for whatever reason Ruderdorf is thinking

I think the lack of wild action might actually be the point here. It's not meant to be entertaining in the sense of cool explosions and Tanya dominating the battlefield. What we have seen so far in this season is war slowly grinding away at everyone, leaving nothing behind, with every brief reprieve being followed by new hardships that not even Tanya can solve by herself, with some even being consequences of her being too flashy and impressive in the past.

Help wanted from Luke and the Community regarding Copyright strikes! A small, up-and-coming UK reaction channel I follow called Dr.SophieDarlingReacts just posted she got hit with 3 strikes simultaneously on Youtube for posting an analysis/reaction to Demon Slayer. She posted the fact that this was happening to her on Patreon, and some said she should reach out to bigger channels, so I figured as a follower I’d comment about the situation on a few GOT videos should this somehow reach Luke because he definitely would have some insights/advice on how to handle it 🫶

Luke seems so bored, with how many times he looked down at his phone. It's no wonder he rushed and skipped the after credits again. Normally he'd be so desperate for more, he'd be checking, lol.

In my opinion, this operation going so well is directly related to why the country leadership is choosing to keep fighting. They see these victories as a result of superiority, rather than a combination of luck and enemy mistakes that can often be the determining factor in winning or losing. This, plus the sunk cost fallacy causing them to think it's better to put more resources into the war to hopefully recoup the losses in reparations.

Ttsukasa

Welp, we had an out that saved face and even won us lands and everything. But like the enemy said when they switched to political stuff, We drunk on our own victory and ignoring reality. SO LETS GO GET MORE!!! This is how leaders get, and so now it's unlimited blood works, lets all go die!

Ttsukasa

This isn't about war Luke, this is about Tanya trying to get OUT of the war, this is about these guys (not nazi germany) taking on the world, realizing they don't have the means to do so, but trying to save face. Vs the rest of the world, its like a greek tragedy of watching a ship slowly crash. Highlighting that not Germany had a few chances to get out of the war, but the Brass keep pushing their luck, sacrifing lives. They already realized they dont have the sauce, the resources, the manpower to hold up and if they stay they will all die. But their propaganda worked too well... ON THEMSELVES... so they think just cause they won a battle, they can win the war! Winning the battle was only to get better terms, a last man ditch option.

The Manga, Anime and Light Novel have all forever been very different from eachother tho. Even season 1 was very different from what it is in the books

In what way. Depends entirely on what you value. If you value pure fighting the yeah i agree but i always thought the best moments in season 1 were the talking moments like in the finale of season 1 Tanya talking to Rerugen. This season has alot more of that and alot more focus on the generals which is something I like so to me season 2 is already on par with season 1. And trust me the intense action is coming its only 4 episodes in

Lelouch Vi Britannia

im not talking about the fighting, im not a sounen head the overall feel of show is way down. let me explain what im saying Season 1 Tanya being annoyed at being at the frontlines, wants a safe post to survive the war to spite Being X. and Being X manipulating the events to push her to the frontlines, with the occasional encounter between them. not to mention her reputation of being hard to work with (i get that shes trying to look better now in case the war ends to avoid war crimes charges). Season 2 So far season 2 has been nothing to do with Tanya or being X. its like you said. the Generals. the government, and they even turned Tanya into a plot device rather than her being the MC. not to mention over the top attempt at forcing humor on us by turning Tanya and Serebryakov into dumbasses in some scenes. not to mention the utter lack of actual threat to Tanya no matter how hard they tried with the whole "tense" ride to the bridge. i dont know man

The source material was this less combat heavy story. Which those who knew the source were calling out that how talky this season would be. It's like Slime's meeting room season but even less combat. That's why this season took so long, there's not a guaranteed fanbase for the talky bits.

s2 being more chill than s1. tanya knows her side can't win. Her objective is to SURVIVE until the war is over. In s1, she attacked more because, by winning, she thought she would be able to get back quicker. But the enemy kept fighting. Being able to resupply. Rail gauges in non-germany and not-Russia are not the same. After capturing the land you have rework all the rails. And, if this was our world, not-germany doesn't have half the trucks they need. Most german transport in ww2 was HORSE DRAWN. Likely the same for non-germany. 25m40s Why did Rudersdorf agree to the bloodbath? He's cracked. He feels guilty about his dead son (the cigarettes at the grave) and let himself be persuaded to have his son's death justified because total victory. Im LOVING this season. The military/political stuff is top notch. attacking the junction between two defending forces, especially if they're not from the same nation, is effective. Sounds dangerous but the increase in the enemy's confusion makes up for it.

This strategy is only easy if you're minutes apart from each other. Which is easy to say that it is damn near impossible. And it assumes that you have enough power to wipe squads. A force stronger to your own can just split, crush the back and march forward. A force weaker or equal can go back, bring hell to the bridge, and retreat to favorable location.
