All in do time all in do time...

Sai

Mushoku Tensei waiting room. :D Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere. 21:17 - You want her to do an Aloha Snackbar? An Admiral Ackbar? Luke curse strikes without warning.

"the military operations are so simple." On the STRATEGIC level, they are! D-Day. Land a lot of men in France. SIMPLE (strategic level) supplies, which units, supporting forces NOT SIMPLE (operational) Blow up that pillbox! VERY NOT SIMPLE (tactical) Ref Not-Beria using his own men. The Not-NKVD had quite a big army. Over 6 divisions early on and up to 1.5 million men by the end of the war. Luke: We need more action Gets more action. Weiss gets butchered. Luke: Nooooo! No, no, no, no, no, no!

I suspect that Rudersdorf saw that high leadership wanted to continue the war no matter what and decided that it was better to stay in his position than to be replaced with someone less competent. He clearly has some personal reasons as well that may be clouding his judgement, but he also seemed willing to accept peace if high leadership would have allowed it.

The light novel goes much more in-depth with logistics, doctrine and military planning. The anime dumbs it down a lot for pacing and also so anime watchers don't get too bored, as the complexity of the LN turns off a lot of readers

it was annoyingly skipped over in season 1 and only mentioned once this season but the Type 95 crystal that lets her be so op was blessed by angels to become a holy relic, the more Tanya uses it the more it corrupts her mind into becoming a devote saint, in the novels after overusing the crystal she will sometimes black out for days or weeks only to find she was in a trance praising god the whole time. that's why once she got in charge of the Salamander Battalion she has been trying to avoid combat as much as possible to limit how much she uses the crystal

Some of Luke's comments are hilarious here considering how episode 6 went.

I think part of the reason the tone seems to have changed is that Tanya's role isn't the same as in season 1. She is now in charge of more than just her mages. She has infantry, tanks, and artillery under her control and she needs to coordinate all of them. Due to this, she needs to not be fighting constantly on the frontlines and needs to be able to see the wider picture. However, I do also wish for a little more action. Edit: I pulled a Luke and paused to type this right before you brought it up
