Sarah

I’m ready to have my heart broken again 🥺

Whitebeard

No way you haven’t seen this movie before!!

Sarah

Princess and the Frog next pls!!

Emily Jewett

Pixar’s most intense opening scene, mini movie in itself. No words and every body understands. How fast can Pixar make you cry? So fast.

Zain Rizwan

Would love to see reactions to the ice age movies

Rach H

Over the Moon is such a wonderful movie to watch

Emily Jewett

Are any of the Disney Pixar movies connected? May I direct you to the Pixar Theory, the YouTube channel super Carlin brothers breaks it down every few years. They didn’t come up with it but they certainly explain it. Long story short- they can all fit together if you try hard enough. I’d recommend one of their videos about it but it also might spoil some of the movies.

Dragmaister

"In a couple of years Up! will be twenty years old btw." Shucks damnit Luke, I didn't come to watch this reaction only to be psychologically abused within the first three minutes!

Samantha Frost

This movie killed me in theaters. I vote adding Emperors New Groove to your list if you haven’t seen it!

LoneWolf

the movie that everyone shed tears in the first ten minutes...

Kret

A court can take your home away if you are deemed a danger to yourself or others even here in the uk i had a neighbour who in her old age kept on having spurts of paranoia was lashing out at people like the postie and her home help although normally it takes multiple reports before they resort to that

Jace Dulohery

oh this reaction is going to kill me huh :,) side note: I second the recommendation for Princess and the Frog! The soundtrack is amazing, the animation is timeless, and it's a really wonderful story. Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron is also an excellent animated movie, if you haven't seen it. The score is composed by Hans Zimmer and the vocals are done by Bryan Adams. Really really solid film. Gets ya in the heartstrings when you realize the parallels to cultural erasure.

IvI

Up has such an insanely beautiful opening it feels like you've just watched a whole movie in like 5 minutes.

Airtiger

Damn. Pretty cruel to watch this right after your lie in apirl lol

smth positive_

Who ever suggested this wanted to see yo cry lmao

Rey

Love the reactions Luke, I'd like to suggest an animated movie called "9" if you haven't already seen it

Victoria

Luke if you liked ark survival then you’d probably like palworld! It’s like ark with Pokémon instead of dinosaurs. I would love to watch gaming streams if you don’t do them already

Vitero27

Maybe Prince of Egypt next

Sarah

This was such a great reaction, thank you! Love the movie reactions!!

Trina Key

I hope I don't sound insensitive, since I have trouble sometimes with human interaction and social skills, but from your comment about your father not being interested in your stuff, is it maybe possible he is on the spectrum? I mean I am in my middle 30s and I am just learning about this kind of stuff. I need to make a conscious effort in a conversation to take note of other people's interests and activities, to even remember them. And I started to make that effort because I realised that me referencing what they said (meaning I was listening to them) is what makes other people think I care about them. I used to show my care to people in other ways and didn’t realise I may seem not interested in them. I was never diagnosed as a child because it just wasn’t a thing then, especially with me being able to learn to fake a lot of things that I learned was expected, but the signs were there. It helps that at my age I am aware of all the information there is about different dysfunctions and learning about them. Older generations don't have that and that’s what made me think that is what is happening there. Also ending the heavy stuff, love this reaction, knew the beginning was going to wreck you but since we all got to suffer that, now you just have to join the crowd.

Maks Lesniewski

Some time ago, I came across a very interesting theory that states that the cause of Ellie's miscarriage, and potentially even her death, was exposure to lead from lead paint.

Vicente Machuca

i think Carl felt so much guilt thinking ellie never got to do all the adventures she wanted, that's why he always stopped with sadness at "things i'm going to do" because there weren't any adventure, but then you see how much she loved the life she had with carl, and how for her, that's already was the best adventure.

Barbietube

Wow what a good time for me to start ugly crying

Gianna

Omg yeees the two movies are incredible!!

Ninnin

I love the little detail where, in the scene with the dogs playing cards, one of them is cheating. (He has an ace tucked in his collar.)

Faen_Galan

Up! tells a better love story in 10 minutes than twilight manages in 4 books and 5 movies

Kaden P

Wolf Children and The Prince of Egypt please!

Faen_Galan

So Paradise Falls is actually Angel Falls in Venezuela it’s a beautiful area, my wife grew up a several hours from there

Yogesh Mehta

I recommend Wolf Children. It's one of the most beautiful movies I've ever seen, and I think you'll relate to it

Theo Downes

This movie is inspired by a real house in a Seattle Washington. Its now called the "Edith Macefield House" after the woman who refused to sell. The house still stands and is surrounded by commercial shopping buildings. If you google it, you can find pictures.

Gelgatuous

My two cents recommendation would be either The Road to El Dorado or Prince of Egypt. They were two of my favorites as a child, and having watched them recently, they are still amazing animated films.

Super Ryo Reacts

16:10 Luke. No man can not be broken by the start of this movie. No one.

Christian Partee

This is my personal favorite Disney movie, it’s perfect in every way

Finelia Braun

Oh holy shit, I thought I could handle it this time but.. no nope... I am ugly crying rn...

Kaden P

I second this 100%

Adam Crosby

I think just about everyone feels something in that opening scene. It destroys me. Every. Time.

aleayarae_9794

Every time he says something is dark for Disney, I'm like he hasn't watched enough. Disney loves to break us down 💔🥲

jeramiah

Can we plz get him to watch the Kung fury panda movies or has he already seen them or are they on the way

顥如 張

Yes, definitely recommend this one.

Krawbs

What are these? Subtitles for ants?!

Simkus

I wanna recommend movie "Caroline". It's also one of those hard to believe it's a kid's movie, but it's really unique with a great atmosphere, literally horror vibe. Somewhat reminding of courage the cowardly dog in ways.

dartcp

How to destroy Luke in 5 minutes... play the beginning of the movie *Up* ^^

Fabian

Luke you should definitly watch the Movie #9 from Shane Acker.

Shadow_284

God I love Up. That opening always makes me cry... 😢

Emma Floyd

5 minutes in: “Oh I love them!” Me: “oh no.”

Shadow_284

The dogs have some of the best quotes in the movie. To this day I still quote "SQUIRREL!" and the Cone of Shame. 😆

Aaren YASS

Damn, still not immune to the opening 🤧 😭🚿

Shadow_284

I will join the many comments over the weeks saying that you need to watch Road to El Dorado. Such a classic.

ImagineFruit

I don't know if you've already seen this movie, but I will recommend to watch Maleficent.

Shinigamiinochi

probably an unpopular recommendation compared to all the disney and pixar ones, but I'd love to see you react to Big Fish.

Emily Irvine

No matter how many times I watch it, I cry every single time. It's so sweet. Please watch Princess and the Frog next. It's a fun movie with great music!

PugProtector

I personally would not necessarily call this movie a "kids" movie; instead, I call it a 'family' movie. This movie is meant for the whole family to enjoy, and since this is, in fact, Pixar, they come straight for your heart. When I watch the opening scene of this movie, it always makes me think of my grandpa. There were not very many modern movies he would watch with us, but when Up came out, it immediately became one of my grandpa's favorite movies. When he passed away a few years ago, that scene makes me cry because he ended up leaving my grandma behind, and I get so emotional thinking about Ellie ended up leaving Carl behind. < 3

Amanda T

One of the best soundtracks ever.

Shawn

Disney's Hercules would be a good one to add to the list. Also, there is a follow up to Up! It's a mini-series called Dug Days. Worth a watch

Emanuel dos Anjos

I'm surprised of how many iconic animated movies you haven't watched haha since u reacted to how to train your dragon and rn with up! And my other suggestions are spirit: stallion of the cimarron and prince of egypt

Tsubasa Li

If you haven’t seen them, I would recommend Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron and The Iron Giant

Jeff Bruns

Whoever keeps suggesting and voting for these movies is diabolical🤣🤣

Rainey Day

I watched this in the late evening hours after you posted it fully knowing I was going to cry at the movie. I bawled my eyes out especially after how you cried at it too. Up is a movie I watch knowing it is going to make me cry. I really enjoy how emotional you are especially in a day and age where men are taught that crying is weak. It is human and it is beautiful to connect with others through tears. It also has amazing therapeutic effects. Some see crying as bad but I see it as beautiful in a bittersweet way. Another movie that makes me bawl is Bridge to Terabithia. Would love seeing you react to it as well!

MILKYWAY

Absolute Cinema ✋😎🤚

Caroline Vitanza

I am SOOOO happy to finally see you watch this! This is, in my opinion, Pixar at its absolute best. It's a masterclass in storytelling and it delivers the most poignant yet simple lessons that both kids and adults resonate with. And it brings the humor without trying too hard. It is my all time favorite Pixar film and I'm so happy you liked it so much 🥹

Maria Amado

This movie always gets to me, because the characters are just like my grandparents (who ar eno longer with us), so it hits extra hard. So I knew I would cry, but I knew Luke would also cry. so I guess Thanks for another amazing reaction

yipyipyippee

i second this ! also similar themes imo as up

ChinchillaCrystal

Dang it! Someone please pass the tissues 😭 🤧

Ana

Thank you so much for your reaction to this movie! You always share more and more about yourself in each reaction and I never get tired of listening to your stories or your point of view. Your boys are very lucky to have you as their dad! Here are some fun facts. Ed Asner, who did the voice of Mr. Fredricksen was a very famous actor. You might know him as Santa Claus in the movie “Elf”. The voice you recognize from every Pixar movie is John Razenberger. He is also a famous actor mostly known for his character of Cliff Clavin, a mail carrier in the TV series “Cheers” from the 1980s. Fenton’s ice cream actually exists and the one shown in the movie is the original location in Piedmont, California near Oakland California across the bay from San Francisco. My family and I have enjoyed going there for many decades. My daughter just came back from Disneyland last week with a grape soda bottle cap magnet. She’s in the club! 😁

Nate

The only movie that can make you laugh and cry in the first 10 minutes.

The Nerdy Tiger

1:54:22 shows puppies Production manager Lol

Evelyn Lopez

I know he selects on YT but how does he choose what’s next on here? Bc I’d like to add the movie Selena as a future option

ClerZz IMO

I've seen this movie far too much I've lost count. :,)

Dorran

This is an amazing movie... with SUCH a brutal opening... they _knew_ that no one was making it out of that with dry eyes! Still, without that, the journey wouldn't mean as much... Oh, the tennis balls are (from what I understand) to protect the floor from being scuffed by the rubber feet (which can wear out and expose metal). Tennis balls are just a cheap and easy-to-get material that achieves the desired goal. As for Carl being forced into a retirement home, yeah... unfortunately, corporate lawyers are good at doing stuff like that. Better than a retired old man. So, the fact that the man was not listening to Carl telling him to leave it alone would be heavily downplayed, and they would likely have had Carl deemed unfit to live independently, leaving him with little option but to go to a care facility. It sucks, but... that's the kind of thing that happens to the elderly, especially when they stand in the way of companies with financial power.

kammahl

Me and several of my adult friends went to see this when it came out in 3d. Because of the first 10 minutes, we all had black smudges on our noses where the 3d glasses black paint came off due to water.

Thanny

A snipe hunt is a long tradition in the Boy Scouts. There are birds called snipes, but they don't live in the places one goes camping. It's a conspiracy with the older scouts, and often some of the adults, to trick the new scouts. All in good fun, of course. It's like hazing, but without any risk of injury or major humiliation.

Thanny

I've seen you multiple times now mispronounce skeleton as skellington. Is that due to The Nightmare Before Christmas?
