I can’t remember if One for All has been explained in detail, so I don’t want to spoil anything. In short, Mirio would still have his permeation quirk, even if One for All was passed on to him. I DO know that more will be explained about One for All in upcoming episodes so you get a fuller picture of just how crazy it is.

technically the person that blew up wasn't identifying as a guy... but the trans representation in my hero academia... is high key some of the worst/most offensive. that most will kinda just gloss over it anyway.

No Overhaul did not use his quirk to blow up that guy. He used it blow up that woman. Magne is a transgender woman hence why they call her Big Sis, her friend in her flesh back is also trans implied by the outfit and hair style. Magne just hasn’t gone through any hormone therapy and surgery like Tiger already has so it’s not as obvious at first glance.

One for All works like a booster, if Bakugo had it he would keep his explosions and along with his body being powered up they would also power up his explosions to extreme levels most likely, so Miro being able to phase plus having the One for all strength and speed boost would be so overpowered

Random question, wasn't the plan to react to the skipped season 3 ep 20 after finishing season 3 proper? Or did I misunderstand or miss something? Not complaining or anything, I honestly don't even remember what happens in that ep so as far as I'm concerned it's probably fine to skip, and after recently finally bingeing the last few seasons I'm all onboard with whatever lets him see the glorious hype that awaits as soon as possible, I'm just a little confused because I thought he mentioned something like "I'll watch that after the season finale" and then that didn't happen. Unless it did and I'm just not seeing it, which has been known to happen.

He forgot about it sadly. He should've just watched it between 19 and 21 since it's only one episode and it wouldn't have disrupted the flow that much. I don't know why he was told to skip it but I doubt he'll go back to it now so we'll just have to accept that it's the one skipped episode in MHA.

So how One for All works is that it is a stockpile of energy that can be used for basically anything the body can naturally do, in a quirkless person all it does is increase their base physical abilities, but for a person with a quirk, the quirk is considered a part of their body and as such is capable of being enhanced by All for One. BUT! All for One is ultimately primarily the ability to pass on the wielder's quirk. Meaning I imagine that someone with a quirk would lose their quirk as a consequence once they no longer have One for All, but other than All Might and Nana Shimura there aren't any other inheritors that lived past their first meeting with the next in line, so there are no known examples of this happening.

I wish Overhaul would have just killed the league of villains instead of trying to recruit them. I understand that logically he made the right choice because even though he would have won, his side would have taken a few casualties. Tomura is just a nepo baby compared to Overhaul at this time but still Tomura to dangerous to be left alive.

I do love how terrifyingly serious the 'make him laugh' is treated here, especially making it the cliffhanger, and this being the first time we've seen Togata actually worried/scared. I also think it's possibly a reference to a mentor/trainer in DragonBall Z who had the same entrance criteria for his training.

It's mostly the animation. The quality is terrible at times. There are a few well animated episodes, but the average is far below that of seasons 1-3 and 6-8

Interesting to criticize the animation when my favorite shots of the entire show are all in this arc. But they’re also more high quality illustrations than animated sequences, so I’m not exactly disagreeing (tbh I don’t remember having a strong opinion about the overall animation quality in this season either way).

Actually the trans rep is pretty good, even though it's subtle. Tiger is a hero, he has money and status, so he can afford gender health care, hormone therapy and operations to transition, if not being told, no one would know he was born as a female. But Magne and her friend from her small flashback aren't of higher status, they don'T have the money to transition, take hormones etc. It shows how it actually works in the real world. If you pass, people accept you and your gender. If you don't pass, people will misgender and disrespect you.

Exactly. People expect representation to be a certain way or it's not good representation. Just showing the good parts isn't true representation. It's just glorifying it. True representation isn't afraid to get down into the nitty gritty and show the dark side.
