I'm so not ready to see if everything just goes wrong for the higher up's decisions

ArtKi

Haven't really noticed any Ildoan backstabbing. Just that they don't obey the Empire. They're want to maintain neutrality and any help they give the Empire will likely have consequences after the war. 20m14s Black Company. Japanese company that treats worker poorly with extremely long hours and too much work. The benefit to the empire of invading Ildoa is that, after they win a quick war, they can withdraw the troops that were guarding the border of Ildoa and sent the to the fight. Yes, a totally idiot plan. but that was the goal.

Juan Contreras

They want more from them but they don’t want too so if they conquer them they’ll be taking all their resources. Is an all or nothing situation for the empire…… is greed and desperation to survive

Juho Kaartoaho

But even if they pulled it off, you would then have even bigger border with all that new coastline that you would have to guard. Otherwise their enemys could just walk through that area. The reason they can't now is because they don't want to make enemys of the Empire. In the end they would be spending more troops and resources to guard the border. Only positive I could see is if it is fast enough win that Ildoa doesn't deplete their resources that the Empire could seize them and use on other fronts.
