This is one of those stories that I enjoyed whole heartedly from start to finish. The best thing is that the rest of the series after this have some of my favorite moments as well.

Don't worry there's still quite a bit more before we get to the ending of the story, a lot more IMO 🌟 It's going to be a while before it's animated though..

just thinking that i'm not going to be getting new haikyuu content and not seeing haikyuu listed in the weekly schedule is making me sad. can't wait until the next movie in person! i recently started reading the haikyuu manga and somehow decided it was a good idea to also have it be my first japanese book. reading it with whatever little japanese knowledge i possess has been difficult but thank you to all the anime i've watched and games i've played for my japanese knowledge unfortunately, as comes with being in fandoms, the story has already been spoiled for me, but from what i've seen/heard i'm quite pleased with how they wrap it up regarding what's next... i do tend to watch niche sorts of animes so i don't think anything i have in my favourites will make it... another food anime like campfire cooking could be fun imo! but i think blue lock could be a good option? it's pretty intense too. i personally dislike it because it clashes with my values but a lot of people like it. i think it could be an interesting contrast with haikyuu. (of course, i'm just saying this, i'm aware me saying this isn't going to mean anything lol) either way, hoping something good follows up from haikyuu! it's gonna be a tough act to follow! (because i'm biased)

I'm really sad I missed the stream. This is my favorite match in the series, and Kenma is my favorite character. I'm so glad you finally got to react to Haikyuu. As someone who read the manga, I really can't wait until you can experience the rest of the story.

Now another sports anime I recommend is Run With the Wind. It is only 24 episodes and honestly, I believe it hits the same highs as Haikyu. An underrated and amazing anime.

This anime is really the king of unpredictability, like everyone must've thought the 3rd set would ended with deuce after deuce like usual, but this time it isn't, it's a fkin 25-21, the first time I've watched in cinema I was so flabbergasted it ended like that. Anyway, I think the reason Karasuno didn't seems like celebrating their victory is because they are, if not, more tired than Nekoma since also jumps more. Or maybe the director just wanted to focus more on Nekoma's pov. Kuroko no Basket is good choice for the next anime since it's also a classic sports anime, and also finishing these "Generation" thing. Generation of Geniuses: Food Wars Generation of Monsters: Haikyuu Generation of the Worst: One Piece Generation of Miracle: Kuroko no Basket

I've watched all of the anime and I was still rooting for Nekoma lol

I'm glad to see you go through this journey the whole way through, I enjoyed your reactions all the way to the end. I think as some of chat recommended, you'll definitely enjoy Hajime no Ippo, but that's for whenever you decide to replace the Haikyu slot with something else

Bonezza

Kuroko no Basket next? Im waiting for ages.

Joz Varlo aka MX Kelly

I am glad you went on this Haikyuu journey. You could consider Fruits Basket. It's kind of paranormal romance. It gets really dark in places. I think you would like it.

Krawbs

I got caught up in some drama and only got to watch the first half. Time to check out the rest!

Thanks for this great reaction, I enjoyed it the whole time. I laughed and cried. Haikyuu just feels so real god damn.

And actually my favorite part of haikyuu is actually the rest part of the story……I mean right now it’s great but the following part is better for me……

21:15 you know this movie came out the same week as my birthday, and my dad wanted to go to the theater with me, even though i told him hes not gonna enjoy it since he hasnt seen the show 😂 its been a couple of years so he doesnt really remember much about the movie, BUT, i have a cat named after Lev, so i asked him if he thought Lev's team was the main characters or the other ones, he said Lev's team. so there you go, my dad at least was inclined to think nekoma was the mian cast (because of my cat)

Theofratus

Absolutely agree with you. I still remembered when I first finished season 4 back in 2020. I have always liked the series, but it wasn't in my top anime/manga list until I finally read the rest of the story from the manga. 6 years later, I can still confidently say that this, without question is my favorite fiction of all time.

I KNOW !!! right?!!!!!! I mean the whole series is great especially with these fantastic voice actors and 10/10 music, but for me the greatness of storytelling/storyline design is the rest part from next movie……I really think FURUTATE sensei is like story/characters building magician and a loooot of call back just happens surprisingly and I just burst into tears. I really hope they can finish this story and watch Luke’s reaction lol

5 cents

And I even did some huge life choices because the rest of the story lol, it just soooo good

Leonardo Postacchini

Luke, I am so happy you watched Haikyuu, I always being sure you would love it. Chat suggested Run with the Wind, in my opinion it is an awesome anime, comes close to Haikyuu, but it is not on its level. Still well worth to watch.

gmantsang

I'd say kuroko no basket

Chishiya

I was smiling through the entire movie. I can't wait for the movie to come out. You should check out Kuroko no Basket if you want to feel out another sports anime.

Watching the end of the match made the season 2 ending of Tsurune play in my head, and it fits it so perfectly. That yearning to be part of something greater than you, that elation when you can just immerse yourself in something, and finally that wistfulness mixed with joy when it eventually ends... So perfect, the song and this movie. Last Stream Luke talked about how he doesn't like anime movies, and I agree with him. Most of them are either unnecessary for the story or are just bunch of anime episodes stringed together, not really adapted to be a movie. But for this one, it really works. It allowes the viewers to immerse themselves in the match, as they would in the real game. And the camera work and animation quality is superb. I watched this in the cinema, and I'm so grateful anime has gotten popular enough that it is actually possible now here where I live. That wasn't the case a few years ago. Thank you for watching and falling in love with Haikyuu, Luke. I knew you would :) I hope some day I can rewatch Run with the Wind with you <3
