Thank you for sticking with Bookworm to the end. I know it doesn't get the views of other shows, but it really deserves more love. It's a shame that WIT never quite delivered the way fans were hoping. The fact that they so quickly confirmed a season 5 though tells me it did pretty good in Japan though. I would really like to see an OVA or episode 0 for the cut content that was glossed over in the final episode. Damuel and Brigitte's marriage falling through is actually quite big and would have been better to cover in more detail. As chat was explaining there are a lot of reasons why it fell through. I think of it as a way to show that love doesn't really have a place in noble marriages if the politics don't line up. Brigitte only became Rozemyne's guard knight because she thought it would be a way to help her get married and go back to her home with strong political backing. She had asked Damuel what he thought of Ilgner, which he said he likes it. She thought that meant he agreed to go live with her there if they got married, but he can't. Since he knows Rozemyne's real identity, if he ever left her side he would be killed to silence him. Brigitte and Damuel may love each other, but their goals are fundamentally different. She only cares about strengthening and protecting her home, and Damuel can never leave Rozemyne's side. Another side of their relationship is that Damuel is the second son of a laynoble family. Marrying a mednoble like Brigitte would have increased his status massively. No one would normally reject such huge increase in social status, but once again because he knows Myne was a commoner, he can't go with her. On the other side Damuel foolishly thinks that Brigitte would stay by Rozemyne's side and live with him in Ehrenfest. She wants to go back to Ilgner as soon as possible, but also since Damuel is the second son of a laynoble family she would not only be lowering herself to become a laynoble, but he isn't even the head of his house. Both of them made assumptions about what the other would be willing, or capable, of doing. Under different circumstances their unlikely marriage could have happened, but neither understood what the other truly wanted.

they either left alot of room for bunch of OVAs before next season (like the ones between season 1 and 2), or the second half of last ep will be elaborated at the beginning S5. More like a preview of next season than just simply being rushed. The mana was hardened due to the extreme compression she been doing all her life, and the potion was to dissolve the hardness but not removing the mana. The poison was hardening her mana so it cancelled out lots of its effect, and why she was under for much longer than expect.

Wilfred believed his Grandmother because she raised him; until she was imprisoned, she took care of him. Even now, he doesn't interact much with his parents. They didn't know how poor his education was, and the only reason they found out was that Myne swapped daily tasks with him, and even that was because he was jealous that Myne got to spend time with his father when he didn't. Side note: most of his retainers were selected by his grandmother.

Chat might've told Luke later but I'm just at that point. The next Aub used to be chosen after big political fights that often resulted in breaking apart the siblings (like Sylverster and his Aunt) or even death. Sylverster, hating that, decided that he would make Wilfried the next Aub pretty much from birth as his oldest son. This in turn caused Wilfried to get extremely spoiled and put no effort into learning about the world since his position was guaranteed. Removing that guarantee is a really big blow to both Wilfried, who now has a big black mark on his record, and all of his attendants since they were sure to become the Aub's attendants.

The main story of Ascendance of a Bookworm is only just now starting to kick off. It's actually a Kingdom wide drama with the existence of the entire country at stake. The rest of the Kingdom starts getting introduced next season. Looking forward to General Rosemyne. 🪖🪄 ⚔️🥅🏆

It's mentioned really quickly but the poison the poison that was given to Myne has the effect of stagnating your mana, which then hardens into clumps. Myne was already suffering from big mana clumps which is why that poison which should've been just to paralyze her was extremly dangerous & deadly to her in particular. This is also why the Jureve took 2 years instead of a couple months and was not able to fully get rid of all the clumps. When she is seen wattering big rocks, and breaking them, this is the Jureve working to get rid of the clumps. But, as we can see, there are still some so she won't be completely healthy. Sleeping for 2 years also made her muscles atrophy so much that she could not walk by herself and has to be given magic items to buff her strength just to stand and walk properly.

I agree with you about the age thing. They keep showing Kamil as a baby but he should be late 2 or maybe even 3 years old now. I think we spend 2 years in part 3 so it makes sense (i might be wrong though)

Myne is taller than Charlotte, who i think is about a year younger than her so she is growing, it's just not as evident in certain scenes, plus the gradual growth is harder to notice. I bet if you compared her now to when the show started then you'd notice a difference.

here is a short time-line Kamil was born in the early spring when Myne was 7 at the mid-spring Myne died and became Rozemyne Rozemyne becomes 7 (Myne 8) in the Summer and is officially adopted by Sylvester Failed to gather the Autumn material Succeeded gathering the Winter material Succeeded gathering the Spring material Kamil becomes 1 year old (they celebrate it at the beginning of their birth season though instead of their actual birthday) Rozemyne becomes 8 (Myne 9) Succeeded gathering the Summer material Succeeded gathering the Autumn material Rozemyne gets poisoned and placed into the Jureve at the start of winter. I think it was even the same day after we see the winter Baptism Ceremony for the commoners and for the nobles So last we see Kamil before the almost 2 year time skip is him being 1 season away from being 2 years old. Jureve 1st year Kamil becomes 2 Rozemyne becomes 9 (Myne 10) Jureve 2nd year Kamil becomes 3 Rozemyne becomes 10 (Myne 11) End of Autumn Rozemyne awakens from her Jureve, and according to anyone who sees her Rozemyne body still just looks like she just reached the Baptism age of 7 Kamil we see at the end is almost 3,¾ years old / 1 season away from being 4.
