I liked the fact that Kuma FINALLY is using the international titles for the shows. Sometimes I had difficulty in recognizing wich show the music was from, because I barely know their Japanese names 😅 Edit: but he didn't for the endings, damn it 😅 Edit 2: ok, it was kinda mixed 😅

2026-11-01 11:00 5:03 If the origin of a series is from a web novel, Then the reason is simply. Due to the most used website layout making titles basically the only thing writers have to grab a potential reader's attention. Which has resulted in the titles becoming story synopsis It is also worth noting that there are series in which the English title is using a reduced amount of words compared to the original JP title :P

12:30 that's their SECOND anime ending, mind you. The previous one was quite good, too

Kokoro no Basket and Diamond no Ace are both great sports anime. Not as great as Haikyuu in my opinion, but I'm rather biased toward volleyball.

Japanese traditionally have black hair. Maybe they wanted to have variety? Also culturally in Japan, having different color hair, such as dying ones hair blonde, is viewed as delinquency.

Random Fact: Who-Ya Extended did the 2nd OP for JJK (Bonus: ASCA did one for SAO) that you could remember. So yeah, many new names, some repeaters (also, EVE), and some awesome bands who are not your typical anime artists (BAND-MAID, HANABIE. , ASTERISM) And of course, for me it’s a “random” list because my favourite EDs are all over the place here..

different hair color is to differentiate in manga since it's black and white. Different colors have different shades of black/gray. So you can distinguish characters this way

The titles are long and basically explain the premise, because people are lazy and can't even bother to read the description for a manga/light novel.

I do not know where you got that information from, but you either misunderstood it or got lied to. As while it is true that screentone densities can be used to infer a character's hair color to be light colored or dark colored, The actual color of that hair would still be unknown. Because a specific color like for example blue is not set to a specific screentone density percentage. Take One Piece for example When a new character gets introduced basically no one but Oda knows what that character's actual hair color is, Until Oda depicts that character in a colored cover page or a full color spread page or a volume cover. There have been multiple cases were the Anime of One Piece gave a character the wrong hair color or even skin color due to this.

Fun add-on to this I guess In the Manga "The Quintessential Quintuplets" the quintuplets in question all have the same hair color, But the anime intentionally made each of the quintuplets hair color different so that the viewers could tell them all easier apart from each other

The reason titles are long for light novels and some manga is they are an eye catch when your browsing at the store. Its a hook to get you to pick up the book instead of a title that doesnt really tellyou about the story.

Joshua Vaughn

The hair colors come from Japan being very conservative socially. They dont express themselves much as a culture. This is a way for the artists to express themselves and it also helps make characters more recognizable.

do u plan to watch black clover too? its goated

Easiest way to explain the long titles is it's convenience. Light and Web Novels release constantly in Japan, and there's a ton of competition. That means people are just going to overlook a lot of series that have vague names like 'Bleach' or 'Clannad' or 'Monster' even if those works are awesome. Having your title as a summary of the story just helps catch people's attention, letting them pick a story relevant to their interests. As an anime watcher it does seem silly, but it genuinely helps series stand out.

Kyle Garrett

Though I will say that the best summary titles are the ones that can be shortened to something simple, like Oreimo or Slime etc. The ones without a simple catchy shortening are kind of silly looking.

If I remember right. Japanese light novels don't have synopses, and on a shelf alongside thousands of other light novels, the title kind of becomes the synopsis to stand out. Then in most cases, that then becomes the title of the manga and/or anime if there is one. In some cases, they create new titles, but it mostly happens for very big light novels, since they don't want the core audience to miss the adaptation.
