VIRTA MIX #1: Camera Presentation (Patreon)

ABOUT CAMERA PRESENTATION

CameraPresentation is a Virt-A-Mate Utility Plugin that does camera animation quickly and easily. It needs to be added on the WindowCamera atom (it's an atom that's part of all vam scenes).

ABOUT VAM'S WINDOW CAMERA

For people that don't know what that is, the VAM window camera atom is a secondary camera that you can use to animate camera works. When you enable it, you'll also see a preview as a separate atom in the scene. You can also enable HUD preview to see a live preview of that camera in the UI, like I have in my video.

To activate the WindowCamera to be full screen on your monitor you have to press M. This is default vam behavior and that's what I'm doing in the video, pressing M to switch between normal vam view, and the window camera view (that gets animated by this plugin).

ABOUT CAMERA PRESENTATION PLUGIN

When added on the WindowCamera, the plugin will make the camera rotate around. It will also spawn in (if atom is not already present in the scene) an empty atom named WindowCameraTarget. CameraPresentation will always focus at that atom. You can animate that atom, or set it to follow a person's head for example, and get very interesting effects.

Radius is the distance at which the camera flies around the target. Speed is of course the movement speed of the camera, and "Is Clockwise" controls the direction of the movement. Height controls the height at which the camera orbits the target and Shakiness controls a camera shake effects. Plugin also comes with a preset system.

COMPATIBILITY

Plugin should be compatible with all other vam plugins, except those that alter directly the WindowCamera atom (I don't know if there are any other out there). It should work with Timeline as well as with VAM triggers, allowing you to set up complex shots and camera work very quicky.

WISHLIST V2

add an extra atom WindowCameraOrbit and allow two customizable points: what the camera orbits and what the camera looks at for a lot more variety in shots
