INSTRUCTIONS & EXAMPLE

- add to any atom
- add some actions to Actions OnTrigger (e.g.  turn lights off)
- add a url to a local script like localhost/vam/check-lights.php
- only when and if the script will return {"ok":1} the trigger will get called
- the plugin will keep trying for the preset number of times (Ping Count) with a delay between Min Ping & Max Ping
- if stopOnTrigger is unchecked, the plugin will keep checking the script even after a positive response is received. Otherwise it will stop once the first positive response is received

If you have any trouble with it just let me know!

*waves* I'm trying to use APICheck the way you talked about in the Hub...Last spring I had a chatbot with custom voices provided by XVASynth plugged into VaM, but got stuck on the very last step - getting VaM to recognize when output.mp3 changed, and then reloading it/flushing it from cache. I picked the project back up when I found APICheck, and got it whipped back into shape this weekend, and again, I'm stuck on the very last step. "I don't remember exactly but the action was something like setting the vam audio to play "silence.mp3" and then quickly "latest_response.mp3" to force the cache to reset on "latest_response.mp3", it would then play the response from the server as speech." I'm successfully writing the MP3 to Custom/Assets/Audio/RT_Lipsync/Output.mp3 - and I have a fraction of a second of Silence.mp3 Everything's up and running - but VaM is still playing whatever Output.mp3 contained when the scene was loaded. Any thoughts/recollections that might point me in the right direction here?

Hi & welcome! I don't remember much, sorry. I remember it was something weird & janky, possibly using merge load scene of an empty scene that had only that sound as a way to refresh it or something weird like that that I forgot about At the time though I knew 0 about vam plugins and that approach was very messy. I might do some chatbot stuff too and since you brought it up I remade that logic in a new plugin that streamlines the whole thing with that purpose in mind: https://www.patreon.com/file?h=62780274&i=13099658 You can add it on a Person atom. It looks at that sound path set in the plugin. When it detects that the file timestamp changed, it automatically plays the file. You probably don't even need APICheck unless you want to trigger other stuff too. If it doesn't work, let me know!
