Hey all, this is a simple utility for converting las, laz and tif heightmaps into textured mesh objects.

I know it's a little limiting since you're relying on your country to have lidar data for the roads you want to work on - but I think it's a useful utility regardless since it allows you to avoid using qgis, cloudcompare and gets rid of blender's processing time for meshes while still giving you optimized subdivided terrain.

I gave it a try few minutes ago, works very well for me. Easier and quicker than Cloudcompare. thank you very much , great work !!

This works great, having a problem getting satellite images to match with my lidar data tho. any suggestions for this? Really good work here , love it

nice, keen to see the road stuff in the tool!

Loving where you're going with these tools mate, been doing the manual LiDAR thing for years now!! Been giving this tool a try today, one thing I've not been able to do successfully so far is get a GPX to line up with the point clouds. Have tried a few different GPX generators but when I click to show the GPX path, it is somewhere else in space, nowhere near the point cloud. Also, it's impossible to navigate back to the point cloud once you opt to show the GPX path. Keep up the great work on all of this, I'm sure you're getting a bunch of support on Patreon that is very well deserved!

I have the same problem, my ortho maps are different size than my LiDAR data

The same issue, GPX is not matching the lidar. And with the provided websites, I am able to draw roads only, what about closed circuits? Some tool to draw and move this spline directly in the app would be helpful.

I’ve been able to map non-roads e.g. race tracks by using the walk setting and placing lots of points, but like others the gpx track looks great but doesn’t align to the position of the point cloud

I think I’m gonna love this tool. Once I can get it to work for me. 😁 The tool will show the 4 .laz files but when I try to process them I get an error that it ran out of memory. I have an older MSI gaming laptop with a hybrid hard drive set up, 256gb ssd, 1TB standard hard drive. I only have around 30ish gb available on the ssd so I think that may be the issue. I have a 1TB ssd ordered so I hope that might fix it. Also the tiles I’m using at 1 meter resolution tiles so they have a lot of data.
