It’s interesting to see that Erik had only been able to use his powers when he focused on negative emotions like anger. However, after meeting Charles he realized he could also use positive emotions from happier times in his youth. In a way, it’s almost like learning how to use the Force. Overall, James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender did a fantastic job portraying the younger versions of Charles and Erik. They did their best to portray two characters that Sir Patrick Stewart and Sir lan McKellen had already established. This is also Kevin Bacon’s first Marvel role. His second role would be in the Guardians Holiday Special where he appears as himself. Some fun facts about Darwin: 1.) his nickname is based on the theory of evolution called Darwinism which English naturalist Charles Darwin took part in establishing. 2.) his actor Edi Gathegi was also in The Harder They Fall. This movie was directed by Matthew Vaughn. He also worked on the Kick-Ass and Kingsman movies. In fact, after this Matthew would go on to direct the first Kingsman movie The Secret Service which you’ve already seen. Up next is Wolverine 2013. There’s an unrated version that you won’t find on Disney Plus. That’s followed X-Men: Days of Future Past. I’m letting you know ahead of time that this movie also has an extended edition that you won’t find on Disney Plus. You’ll have to rent it, but you’ll benefit from getting more context out of the story.

This film is based on the original 1960s X-Men comics but with a few changes in the teams line-up for timeline reasons. The original Comic line-up included: Scott Summer (Cyclops) Jean Grey (Marvel Girl during this time) Bobby Drake (Iceman) Warren Worthington (Angel) Hank McCoy (Beast) As the film's universe featured characters like Angel and Iceman as teenagers to young adults during the 2000s they of course wouldn't even be alive yet during the 1960s. So instead we got "Angel" Salvadore a character introduced in The 1980s New Mutant comics. We do get a shot of a young Scott Summers when Xavier uses Cerebro but he's only a young teenager so instead the film uses his older brother Alex Summers also known as Havok. I think Jean and Scott were both 18 to 20 when they joined the X-Men in the comics. Beast is the only character from the original line up used in this film, like this film he was just an agile guy with huge hands and feet. Beast was later used in an anthology comic called Amazing Adventures where we saw his transformation into his "beast form" but instead of blue skin he was depicted as being grey. This was caused by self-experimentation further mutating him. Beast would later return in the Giant-Size X-Men (1975) run where he was depicted as being blue but as he was an Avenger at the time he wasn't featured much in X-men comics until later. Beast today is very much an important member of The X-Men and most people have forgotten about his connections to The Avengers. The X-Men line up you know from the 2000s films was introduced in Giant-Size X-Men (1975) when Chris Claremont took over the X-Men bringing them back from a 5 year long break after Stan Lee dropped the X-men to focus on other projects. Characters like Wolverine, Storm, Colossus, Nightcrawler, and Thunderbird were all introduced in this comic, Wolverine making his fist appearance in The Incredible Hulk #180 (1974) and then a year later he was added to this new X-men line up.

If you guys remembered, in the end credits of X-men the last stand when you see Charles on the hospital bed he says “Moira” (the women that kissed him at the end of this film)

Ray H

It’s more like a semi quasi redo than a continuation of the original trilogy. It’s better to think of them as different.

Simon

Fukn amazing reaction guys ! I absolutely love this movie and I’m so glad you guys enjoyed it! I can’t wait for the Wolverine !

Fred Fonseca

The X-men were originally created by Stan Lee as an allegory for the civil rights movements in America. Martin Luther King as the direct inspiration for professor x and Malcolm x was for magneto.

imperial

I love how we get to see what an amazing teacher Xavier really is. The way he’s able to understand each mutant on a personal level to help them unlock their true potential. The scenes between him and Magneto are phenomenal, such amazing chemistry between them.

Charles Briggs

Word of advice if y'all watching The Wolverine (2013) next don't watch the theatrical cut watch the unleashed extended edition it's much better and the same goes for Days of Future Past (2014) when you get to it watch the rogue cut not the theatrical cut y'all might have to some searching to find these versions but it's worth it trust me 👍

Shaun Beyond

How does Vince not have a Colgate partnership yet? Lawd his smile could bring on World peace.

David

Magneto is played by Michael Fassbender and it’s funny you bring Band of Brothers up because he had a small role in that as well.

Only s1 is good tho so more of a waste of time cos they’d finish it all the way

Jamie

START INVINCIBLE

Jamie

START INVINCIBLE

Jamie

REPLACE BREAKING BAD W INVINCIBLE

Simon

For the next movies by the way, the watch order is (the Wolverine, X-men day of future past, x men apocalypse, Logan , then dark phoenix

Kevin Matthew

This movie is awesome loved it when it came out. I always thought michael fasbender would have made a great james bond.

Chris T

Great reaction. This is one of my favorite X Men movies . The Wolverine is next which is head and shoulders above the 1st Wolverine movie. You’ll love Days of Future Past. I hope no one spoils it for you and I can’t wait for y’all’s reaction to that .

Jamie, cool it with the spam and the demanding. They won’t be doing another series suggestion until they finish either Breaking Bad or The Boys first and so far they’re enjoying both.

Tripp

My favorite x-men movie as well. I really loved when they brought in this cast.

Kiera Walker

If we were to compare this movie to the first X-Men movie of 2000, then Days of Future’s Past is equally comparable to X:2 in terms of exponential increase in epicness and execution. I highly suggest the Rogue Cut over the theatrical version. It’s quite a bit longer, but a more solid, coherent story from beginning to end ☺️

Mark

Watch The unrated cut of The Wolverine. Then watch the Rogue cut of days of future past.

Tjbosslyfe

Weather you choose Professor or Magneto . They stay friends for years . So there's not really a bad side to choose.

Steven Warner

I see what Shashana means by Magneto looking like Loki, the actors themselves dont look alike, but the crying smile magneto had looked identical to the crying smile loki had when he broke the loom

Tjbosslyfe

X Men days of future past would be Next . It's in my top 5 X men movies

Tjbosslyfe

Either people love the wolverine movies or they don't care about them . MOST people like X men days of future past .

Steven Warner

Im only 1:33 in but DUDE do yall not remember beast in the Marvels post credit scene? I hope yall mention it later on lol

Aaron Boone

This is my favorite X-Men movie!!! Might be one of my favorite superhero movies ever. It’s kind of messy and some of the editing is a little clumsy but the music and the acting and emotion is so top notch. This movie pays tribute to the OG characters but also adds SOOOO many layers of context and development to Eric and Charles.

Picasso

Maybe somebody can help with my question. My monthly bill due date is always the 5th and today it showed it was taken out of my account but I still had no access to watch the content. So then I switched payment methods and added a different card and it took the money from the new card as well under the same membership and now I can watch again. So it basically double charged me for the same Patreon membership. How do I get my money back for the extra charge considering there is no one to contact or talk to on the "help and support" on the Patreon app?

Yeah I’m not sure, my renew date was the 2nd and it renewed fine, so it might’ve been a problem with Patreon

Charles Briggs
>>134405768

Don't forget the Unleashed Extended Edition of The Wolverine tens times better than theatrical cut 👍

Bamboozler09

The actor that played Banchee, the dude that was screaming and flying, was the douche brother in Get Out and he will crop up soon I think in Breaking Bad for you as a small part

Aldo Gonzales
>>134414352

I think many of us can agree that Logan 2017 is top tier, but we can’t talk about it just yet.

Simon
>>134384568

I don’t really count that 😂 I don’t think anyone want them reacting too it either

Justin Cross

I'm just now getting to this video, but I want to say, you guys will have to go back and watch "Deadpool" again... the scene where Deadpool hits Colossus and breaks his hands and feet, and colossus drags him off and says "We will talk to the Professor" and Deadpool responds "Mackavoy or Stewart", now will make sense after seeing this and knowing the two Prof. X actors lol

Tianna

I’m so late watching this reaction, but it was a great one! This one, Days of Future Past, and X2 are my fav X-Men films.

ParsivalXP

Me just now realizing they were causing the Cuban missile crisis😂

KingStarscream 86

I'm not sure if anyone said it already, but I'm gonna clarify real quick: The diamond woman in this movie is NOT the kid from Wolverine Origins. Wolverine Origins takes place after the Vietnam War, and the diamond girl in that movie was a KID, unlike the one in this movie who is an adult. Also, the RED guy who can teleport is NOT the BLUE guy from X2. Just saying.
