This movie is the first major Hollywood production to take place in actual Cuba. Universal Pictures needed to get approval from both the American and Cuban governments before filming. The scenes for Russia on the other hand were filmed in Mývatn, Iceland as a stand-in. It’s no secret that Dwayne Johnson has Polynesian heritage through his mom’s side of the family. In the soccer field, Luke, his daughter, and her teammates were performing a haka. Choreographer and Polynesian cultural advisor Layne Hannemann wrote the haka song and sent it to a group of elders in New Zealand for approval. Out of all the extended cuts in the Fast & Furious franchise, the one for this movie is the longest with about a 12-minute difference and it has more deleted scenes that are easier to spot after watching this theatrical version. Here are some of the more notable changes: 1.) The race in Cuba had extended sequences 2.) Cipher speaks highly of Dom’s plan as she gives him a tour of her plane 3.) Little Nobody explains his coordinated investigations regarding Cipher were pointless, except for a picture of her. 4.)Letty asks Mr. Nobody if he knew why Dom was involved. He simply responds by saying that he didn’t. 5.) After God’s Eye pinpoints Dom’s true location, Luke orders Tej to bring up the security monitors of the compound which show Cipher and Dom about to break in. This confirms that Deckard saying surprise to her was actually a callback to her saying it earlier in the film. 6.) Ramsey thanks Deckard for saving her. She loans him her laptop while Roman and Tej talk about them. 7.) At the toy shop, Luke and Deckard have a little rant about American vehicles versus British ones. 8.) After Elena’s death, Dom spends a good 25 seconds psychoanalyzing Cipher 9.) Luke performs another Haka in the separatist base 10.) After removing the nuke chip, Roman drives ahead alone on one road but then turns around when he notices the enemy forces were approaching. He tells the others to go the other way. 11.) Deckard gets to take out a few more of Cipher's goons on the plane. 12.) and finally, during the last scene of the movie Dom realizes Deckard gave Brian a pair of miniature boxing gloves embedded with the Union Jack. Here’s a full list of changes: https://www.movie-censorship.com/report.php?ID=235136 Other than that, this paves the way towards Hobbs and Shaw.

Jeff I.

I'd suggest having the camera zoomed in closer to y'all like in the previous videos. Looks a bit off having so much empty space on the sides.

Rob Benjamin

Oh daaaang, y’all lookin’ fancy with this new setup! Y’all lookin’ like an Apple Store 4k now! I likey!!! And yaaaay! More Fast n Furioso! My third favorite franchise ever!! Thank youuuuu!!

Diamante

Wreath35

Good reaction!

Matthew Lau

F8 is the first film I seen in 4K too.

Ricardo Rocha

Can’t wait always look forward for these

Javon

New setup is so clean and looks amazing🔥, congrats!

Simon

Man this one really a comedy more than anything 😂 way funnier than I remember it being

Caleb

Am i the only one with worse camera quality?

Simon

Dom getting out of that tug of war was the biggest bs ever 😭😂

Chris T

Not gonna lie, it kinda doesn’t look right without that picture hanging on the wall behind you guys lol …I can get used to it not being there though

Jarick Richardson

Y’all should watch fast and furious: Hobbs and Shaw before or after F9

TheRealBIGWOOST

New set up is nice! Picture on both is very crisp. 💪🏾

tony

loved the reaction!! can’t wait for the next 3 !!

Kyle Crosby

Y’all should watch the rest of the transformers movies I think yall would really like them but loving this series two

Marco

Call me crazy but I like this one as a story better than Fast 7. Obviously 7 is legendary cause of the Paul Walker tribute but from a plot perspective I think Fast 8 is more unique and intense.

Darren Penuliar

new setup def looks more professional! it’s also kinda giving mental hospital haha or is that just me?

LillWalker

Hobbs & Shaw definitely recommend. You think they’re funny in F&F haha wait tell you see them in that.

Chase Taylor

Hobbs & Shaw next! Liking the new setup as well. I would say that your camera is a bit over exposed imo, really bright and blows out the white background. Audio maybe is a bit quieter than usual as well. Easy fixes though :)

KozaUK

the realization of you guys not being able to close out the usual way at the end killed me 😂 great video guys!

Mark

I'm enjoying these movies more with yall. I always liked them though. I go into fast and furious with just a lets have fun vibe. Fun fact the reason a lot of the cars in Cuba are older is because of the American embargo that lasted decades. They had to develop a culture of pimping out older cars.

Mark

Love the new setup. Audio is a tiny bit lower on the movie but not bad. Don't want it to drown out yall.

Simon

Amazing reaction you guys!

Tjbosslyfe

Picture quality was good to me . Yall can do like a hand count count down to close out video . 5 4 3 2 1 goodbye at the end .

Tjbosslyfe

Vin diesel and The rock had a falling out before this movie . All there scenes were filmed separately. Hobbs and Shaw was next so that's why they didn't have a post credit scene . They filmed Hobbs and shaw while they were on the outs. It's a spinoff. Sum people skip Hobbs and shaw some watch it . Or they go to fast 9. It's up to yall .

Tjbosslyfe

Fast 8 one of my favorites I'd take fast 8 over Tokyo drift . Hobbs and shaw is its own world .

Kinobi10

I feel like your in a hospital watching vin diesel rev engines and say “family” 😂😂 love the reactions ❤️

C. J. Ramirez

Meet Brian brought me to Tears fr

Tjbosslyfe

Fast 9 has a bonus scene fast 10 bonus scene . Just a note.

EdmanXERO

Hobbs and Shaw is next chronologically, so you should react to that next before F9.

Jonny

Hope you guys watch Hobbs and Shaw next. That's a fun and funny movie

Kinobi10

“How do we exit!?” 😂😂

Alexander

Fast and furious makes a turn for the worst after 5 lol

Gloria Contreras

Shoshana’s acceptance, and Vince’s continued disbelief is sooooo funny to watch

Michael Hodgkinson

I love watching u guys. But your killing one of my favorite movie series. Why watch it if u are just gonna clown on it and say how unreal it is. u even said everybody told y'all it gets a a lil absurd. Just watch and enjoy it

Cgm

i’m happy about this setup like im the one sitting there😂😂love you guys

Jamie
>>137172669

Because it’s absolutely absurd a movie about cars girls racing family to saving the world going to space escalation with every movie

West Beast

be sure to watch hobbs and shaw before f9! :)

Henry Nguyen

Def watch Hobbs and Shaw before Fast 9!

dvzec

I think you guys should watch Hobbs and Shaw before F9, or u could just watch it later after youre done with the FF

Mike Rizzo
>>137172669

They host a reaction channel, why on earth would they not be themselves and react how they feel. I've grown up with this series and make fun of it. Lighten up and let people enjoy it how they see fit.

Mark
>>137172669

I love fast and furious but it's amazing to point out the silly shit I think Vin Diesel knows this and purposefully does it for the audience.

dvzec
>>137210137

Not really, they can skip it and wont miss anything in f9 or later movie so why?

Chris
>>137210137

Why would they skip it? It’s a good film and they could definitely watch it before fast 9

NB

Hobbs and shaw

Gretar Stefan

its funny they recognize actor who play in game of thrones but not girl who is also in game of thrones who plays Ramsey

Gretar Stefan

beautiful iceland secene in this movie longest i have seen somewhere in iceland

DeadmanJAX

You should do Hobbs and Shaw too its a spinoff sort of

Jack Walker

You have to watch F9: The Fast Saga. In my opinion it’s better than Fast 8 lol

NS

You guys definitely have to check out Hobbs & Shaw after this lol

Milos

I subscribed just to see his reaction to Hobbs saying Some Bitch and it was perfection I'm still laughing

Not sure if anyone has mentioned it but the "Haka" in the beginning is a Kiwi cultural dance performance. Although i haven't seen or heard this specific one which i think is a mix of hawaiian. Us Samoans do have our own similar dance though.

I did in my comment. A while back, I saw a behind the scenes video clip on the Fast & Furious Facebook page before the movie’s title was even announced. Dwayne Johnson and Layne Hannemann confirmed that it was a haka and they explained how it was put together.
