This movie blew me away, one of the best films I've seen in a WHILE. The last 40mins had me on the edge of my seat

In the first movie, who would’ve thought that Moon Knight would get along with Thanos so well? Or should I say Cable? We also had an evil Drax being a real destroyer. I did generally like this movie more because there was more action and we have more of Paul and Chani in person. Gurney is probably my favorite character just from how badass he is. Now we wait for part 3.

Saw this in theaters opening weekend and was blown away. I loved the first dune but part 2 was a masterpiece. Incredible action and acting. Can't wait for Dune Messiah. Also in the book Chani was totally with Paul and his vision and everything. Also taking the emperors daughter in marriage was just a tactic. Paul doesn't care for her in any way. He loves Chani.

The basis of the entire Dune saga is basically Mushrooms. The spice represents spores, the worms represent bugs and creatures that spread the spores and eat the mushrooms. The Blue liquid is based on Psilocybe Cubensis, which turns blue when bruised and can be created into a blue liquid. All very psychedelic.

fun fact: idk if you remember but stilgar is the same actor that played anton in no country for old men the main antagonist but he has a better haircut in this movie 😂

So when paul was fighting Feyd-Rautha near the end, he was stabbed in the stomach with his own knife, and Feyd went in for the kill. Paul pulled his knife out of himself, and hit Feyd when he was going in for the final stab. Paul took the attack in order to get him close enough to kill blow. This was a callback to when Paul was training in the first movie with Gurney "You would have joined me in death" Gurney stated when Paul bragged about getting a killing blow in. Gurney showed Paul that he had to pay attention to his opponent, even when going in for the kill. Feyd never learned this lesson.

Remember even though chani is angry now, note what Paul said in after he drank the poison; she will come to understand he has seen it. Their whole dynamic will be fleshed out in Dune: Messiah when it comes out in couple of years give or take.

I haven’t read the books but there’s a 12 year time jump in the second book so the director said he might want to wait a while and let paul actor timothée chalamet age a little bit. It’s crazy bc he is 28 years old and looks like he’s 20
