My personal favorite movie ever🙏 ik its not the most perfect movie but i think it’s amazing

It's always seemed to me that Yoda's failure to kill Palpatine in this movie reinforces what we should probably already have figured out, that nobody can kill Palpatine in a head-on fight, and that if Palpatine is to be destroyed the blow has to come from a totally unexpected direction, from someone Palpatine thinks is already too much under his control to turn against him: Darth Vader. Luke's task was ultimately to turn Vader back from the dark side so this could happen, something only Luke could have done. So the prophecy was true: by killing Palpatine, Anakin did destroy the Sith and restore balance to the force, just not in the way that people like Kenobi and Windu were expecting. Yoda might have had an inkling: he told Luke that he must confront Vader, which Kenobi interpreted as meaning kill Vader, but that's pretty certainly not what Yoda meant. And Yoda said there was another hope, another Skywalker, which Kenobi takes to mean Leia, but it could just as well mean that there was still hope that Anakin might fulfill his prophesied destiny.
