Not big on this movie didn't like much of it from the start to the cluster that was The Battle of Exegol. It was stated that the shot when the fleet appeared at Exegol was made up of over 16,000 ships with many of these ships being randomly generated while other's were of course pulled from movies such as the N1 Starfighter and the Kom'rk-Class fighter used by Mandalorian's at the time of the Clone Wars which was something I loved. There were 1,080 Sith Star Destroyers known as the Xyston-class Star Destroyer, unfortunately this ship was just an upscaled Imperial I-class Star Destroyer model from Rogue One (Same Star Destroyer model from A New Hope, Later films feature the updated Imperial ll-class) only with a massive planet killer canon strapped to the underbelly. None of it make any sense and just felt like two massive clusters of fleets with no tactical plan at all. Rogue One blows this out of the water so excited for you're reaction to that film. It's a shame as the concept art depicted such amazing Sith Star Destroyers but because the visual CGI team had far too little time they had to cut so many corners in this final battle. The whole Star Destroyer under the ice of Exegol has been explained in the comic's but it wasn't done well at all and made fans question the whole "Sith" fleet thing even more as according to the comics this fleet was being worked on before A New Hope.... Could've used that flight in the films. Again lack of Worldbuilding and a solid well thought out plan really brought these movie's down for me as all of this could've been explained really well without the need for books and comic's to try and fix the messy plots. Palpatine's return could've been amazing but it was wasted on a single movie when it could've been built up since The Force Awakens along with the Sith Eternal who could've acted as both an ally and a revival to the First Order causing an all out Civil War between the two factions. His return was loosely based on the Star Wars: Dark Empire comic's where Emperor Palpatine was reborn as a younger Clone of himself taking place only 6 years after Return of the Jedi. I enjoy this story in the comic but I know many people did not like it for the same reason people dislike his return in Rise of Skywalker. But I do think the books do a better job as there able to built it up alot more than a single movie. Overall I'm glad you at least enjoyed this film I do like the Rey and Kylo moment's but that's really where it ends for me. Thankfully we got Mandalorian and that made me fall in love with Star Wars again along with stuff like Andor etc. I personally enjoy Star Wars much more beyond the mainline films.

Thank you guys for a great reaction! Im happy you guys loved the movie and didnt listen to everybody hating on the film. This is what happens when u watch something, and form ur own opinions about it, and not have the majority of people guiding ur opinions, and follow people like sheep. You actually enjoy the movie lol, again great reaction, to a good movie

Carrie Fisher who plays Leia had indeed already passed a few years before this movie came out (she died right after filming the 2nd movie). They used deleted/unused scenes from the Force Awakens to add her into film. They used CGI in order to change some things about her appearance and scenery in order to blend her into the live action shots, but they didn’t change anything about her face or dialogue. They wanted to keep that 100% real in order to honor her memory. I think they did a pretty good job making her fit into the storyline with what they had. I don’t think I would have been OK if they just killed her off screen before the movie begins. Leia deserved a proper ending. RIP to Carrie Fisher, a true Princess.

Man Kathleen Kennedy doesn’t know when to quit does she

Simon

Excited to watch this tonight !

Coelacanth

Yep, so a chance to finally have a full proper hero's journey quadrilogy make things better

Christian Hoff

I cant wait for them to find other characters we love and care about so they can ruin them. Kathleen is on a roll, first she gangbanged star wars and now Indiana Jones.

Simon

I commented on the last Jedi video I guess you guys didn’t see it , but carrie fisher(Leah ) died while filming the second movie, this movie they used another lady and cgi her face because she had passed always during the other movie.

TC24

Rey is only getting one movie, Mandolarians are getting the second one, and third one is going back in time to the high republic era I believe

No. They used deleted/unused footage from the Force Awakens and used CGI to change the appearance of her clothes, background, and some of her movement. But her face and dialogue are all 100% Carrie Fisher. They refused to use any CGI on her face because they wanted to honor her memory.

The only time they used another actor was "behind" shots of Leia (reverse shots) and her death scene, everytime you actually see Carrie Fishers face, its her but taken straight from unused/deleted scenes from Force Awakens & few from Last Jedi with some CGI changes to hair, clothes & environment to fit the story. Her dialog is also not changed, the instead wrote the script to fit her recorded dialog instead of trying to change it out of respect.

These movies got too much hate💀personally I loved them

Simon

There’s also rogue one a Star Wars story and the Han Solo movie. Those are side movies but they are cannon and very good

Fujipredator

This will actually be my first time watching this one. I'm giving it a shot since you guys are reacting to it, but since it came out I refused to watch because of how bad the last one was.

Great Reaction!! Star Wars have the best soundtrack 🙌🙌🙌 My favorite would be Anakins betrayal, across the stars, and duel of fates👌

DaftBasterd

Shout-out to Jordan for showing these two the wonderful magic of Star Wars! I'm so glad you two loved all these films, your enthusiasm is infectious! As a life-long fan with enough knowledge about Star Wars to be able to get multiple PhD's based on the lore, it's always nice seeing new fans have positive reactions to the fantastic, fully fleshed out, and ever-expanding world that George Lucas created so many years ago. I really hope Jordan continues to recommend more such as Rogue One and Solo and maybe even The Mandalorian? 👀

Methampheminist

Aw yes, because the whole fandom is on the edge of their seat waiting for more Rey content, amazing job Kathleen! It truly shows you really care about what the people want 💀

Fireteam Joker

I know these films get a bad rap, and Adam Driver is hated on, but I will always be a fan. Adam Driver is a fellow Marine. He did a Ted Talk and spoke of his time in the Marines. VERY cool guy.

Shark23

Adam driver did well, Disney ruined star wars by allowing each director to do what they want, what they did to luke should be criminal

Cojuancidence

what they did to Carrie should be criminal*

Great reaction guys! These movies get bad rep but I actually enjoyed them. I share the same opinion as you guys with The Rise of Skywalker. I also believe it is the best out of the sequel trilogy. It was just different, it had a unique storyline that kept you engaged the whole time. It also wasn’t a copy and paste of previous installments! They’re a lot of different star wars fans, I’m one of the few that just enjoy every film simply because it’s Star Wars! Glad you two enjoyed them too!

Rob Benjamin

Wow. I loved the reaction! And it's such a beautiful thing to see a positive reaction to this movie, and for the Sequel Trilogy as a whole. And this is coming from a person who favored the Original and Prequel Trilogies over this Trilogy. And I'm not saying I disliked the Sequel Trilogy, I'm just stating that I preferred the first two over this one, if I were to simply rank them -- I love Star Wars as a whole. All of it. It's where I'm most happiest in life... In the World of Star Wars. I know all of the hate the Sequel Trilogies get, so it's so heartwarming to see people enjoy Episodes 7 thru 9 the way you two did. The Prequel Trilogy received similar hate when they first came out, but over time, the younger generation who grew up with them and enjoyed them, carried the torch of positivity towards them to today's time period. And the older generation who initially hated them, have since mellowed over the years and have come to appreciate them in a better light. It is my hope, the Sequel Trilogy receives similar treatment. Regardless of whatever criticism they get, there are still still moments in them that are beautiful and enjoyable to watch, and I'm glad The Perfect Mix is an example of people not clouded by the prism of earlier-age fandom and were open to different ideas. Would I preferred the Sequel Trilogies didn't twist George Lucas' beloved vision? Yes. But I'm not close-minded enough to hate the direction the filmmakers decided to take. I'm a passive, accepting person. Something Yoda would have appreciated. In fact, if he were here trying to ease all the hate. After all, hate is the path to the Dark Side. He would advise you all with the hatred, to learn to train yourselves to let go of all that you'd hate to lose. Yes, Star Wars didn't take the shape Lucas intended. While that would have been nice. It didn't happen. Just try to accept, and possibly appreciate, what Star Wars, particularly this Sequel Trilogy, has given to newer fans of Star Wars, like the Perfect Mix here: Enjoyment. The previous trilogies gave enjoyment to different eras of fans over the years. It was beautiful to see the Prequels get accepted into the overall fandom. It is my hope the Sequel Trilogy finds its own place of acception into the fandom as well. Thank you Perfect Mix sticking to your opinions about and sharing them. It was a great case study into how present-day fans would view all three eras of Star Wars trilogies. So beautiful to witness. Because the one constant from them into all 3 trilogies' reactions that I saw: Enjoyment. And it was cool to see the Sequel Trilogy get an overall "W" amongst the three Trilogies, for once.
