People have tons of problems with this version of Superman but i always thought this was a good movie and a solid start to a new universe. Too bad Warners panicked and had to shove Batman into the sequel.

Jonny Kerr (JK)

So this a Superman movie? Never really heard of this one.

2026-10-18 02:00 I really like Henry Cavil, but they did him no favors with the writing of superman at least for me.

Justin Cross

As far as many are concerned, arguably the BEST Superman movie so far.

Libero-AS

The best superman ever.

Justin Cross

This is my favorite Superman film... It was very well done. Henry Cavill kills this role.

Jonny Kerr (JK)

Sweet. Cause the last couple I’ve seen were pretty weak. Be cool to see em do it right again. Kinda said how the messed up Superman over the years lol.

MahBoiBlue

The original superman movies are classic but this is just as amazing, but remember like marvel, the DC universe has other movies that tie in together too. Just for future reference 👍

JESSEMLR1

You guys should might as well do Wonder Woman Batman v Superman ZACK SNYDERS Justice League Aquaman

DmanUNT2014

Before I dive into the reaction, Vince has me laughing at the beginning. I know yall read the comments sometimes and it's like, "Damn. It's that serious?" Lmao. Anyways, let me dive into the rest of the video. Hope yall enjoy!

TC24

Let’s goo! I’m so ready for this reaction to “Men of Steel”

Tommy

If one of y’all request them to watch bvs make sure it’s the ultimate edition

Isaac

This is a very interesting take on Superman, the whole DCEU (Connected DC Universe starting with Man of Steel) in general is very much Zack Snyder's take on these characters and is why films like Man of Steel are mixed among other reasons. Alot of people including myself see Zack as someone who just doesn't understand characters like Superman but more so Batman. The tone something you pointed out along with the colours all come from the trend created after The Dark Knight Trilogy where directors tried to make every Superhero film feel dark and gritty in tone something Zack brought to Man of Steel and of course the city of Metropolis as well. Zack carries over this tone and look throughout all his DC films regardless of the characters involved so it's a very debated aspect of his films as a character like Superman should not have the same visual dark and moody tone as a Batman. People just wanted each hero to have their own visual tone instead of a shared tone. Example of individual tones below, All shows set in the same continuity: Batman Animated Series Intro - https://youtu.be/rrmUk2YUm14 Superman Animated Series Intro - https://youtu.be/SjS2TqzuzoY Static Shock Intro - https://youtu.be/N36X0MOwLto All these shows have there own tone, music, colour palette, themes and genre. The minds behind the DCAU (DC Animated Universe) knew that each show had to have it's own tone and visual language in mind so when a character like Batman crosses over into Static Shock and visited Dakota City he brings his unique tone into the show while Dakota City and it's characters retain there own tone and look without having to treat everything as dark and moody as Batman. Same goes with Batman crossing over into the Superman Animated Series, Batman visits Metropolis but still carries over his own tone a contrast to bright blue and red Superman and the Art Deco City of Metropolis even at night looks completely different to Gotham City. Overall I'm glad you at least enjoyed this film, I personally enjoyed it for the most part but I do recommend other Superman media for example Superman from 1978 and it's sequel which feel much closer in tone to what people wanted in a new Superman film but of course with better visual effects and a larger scale storyline build up across films.

It's okay but I would rather watch the animated films and Superman 1 and 2 but Man of Steel is still a fun watch from time to time, final half of the film is fun.

Isaac

Henry Cavil is a great actor 100%. He just needed better writers and someone who actually understood Superman throughout as a character instead of only certain renditions of the character. Zack would make a killer Injustice Superman film though. Same applies to Ben Affleck I think he's a perfect Batman visually but he just needed better writing and a plot that used him in a better film. The Batman/Superman crossover in the DCAU is the perfect example of what we should've gotten.

David

Then many are wrong. It’s easily not the best as Superman: The Movie and Superman 2 are the greatest

JESSEMLR1

Yes. Of course. Always release order.

What I loved as I did really enjoy elements of this film: Krypton looked great, unique take going for a very H.R. Giger (Alien, Aliens) look combined with ancient human cultures in terms of the fashion and alot of fantasy elements. Not my personal favourite Krypton take but it's still amazing and I'm glad this aspect of Superman was very fantasy inspired. Michael Shannon as Zod is amazing in this film and carries it from his introduction to his death. Terence Stamp and Michael Shannon are peak Zod. Henry Cavill is a great Superman, lacking in his Clark Kent as that aspect was really only introduced right at the end but he's 100% The Man of Steel, he's Superman. Action was solid this being the first Superman live action film that translated the action of the comics and animated show/movies into live action to the level we saw them in the comics. And of course the amazing cinematography by Zack Snyder and score by Hans Zimmer. John Williams did the original score for Superman so that's just Superman's theme for me but Han Zimmer is amazing.

Kevin Matthew

This movie gets a lot of hate from die hard comic fans but I love it. My mom died the same year this came out so it will always hold a special place to me. Henry is the best superman by far but DC screwed him over. Wish he had another movie.

SavageDiplomat

Great reaction guys. If you liked this one of Zack Snyder as director i really think you would love Watchmen 2009 Directors Cut. Thats a phenomenal film. Its one of the films thats under the radar for many but its an exceptional film.

PastaDon

Hey, man O' steel.. that's what the ladies used call me.. well, atleast they used to.. I hope this comment meets the criteria of "calm & nice" lol.. Edit: the score and sound design for this is really really good.. Double edit: Is that bow in your hair Vince.. lol..

Mark

And the winner is!!!! Shoshanna again with Amy Adams! I've watched every video and I always know when Vince glances at the camera the competition begins.

Isaac
>>113041135

Yeah it's crazy. I know reaction channels who were overwhelmed by dislikes for just not enjoying Man of Steel. Then people with DCEU profile pictures show up and say you "don't understand the movie" etc. wild stuff. Jumping into the DCEU is always a game of "Ah okay hopefully people don't get mad at me for liking this or disliking that"

KrakenKing

Henry Cavill fits the roll of Superman very well but definitely don’t interpret this as the way Superman really is as a character. Zach Snyder loved to make everything dark and edgy.

Chriis Josiiah

I’m referring to when Vince asked why didn’t they reverse engineer the technology from Clark’s pod so that they could be prepared, and let’s be real you know damn well humans would’ve used that tech for all the wrong reasons 😂like weapon sales for warfare

Andy

This movie have the best effin soundtrack ever !!!

Narutoanime16

The music in this was done by the same guy who did it for the Dark Knight movies Hans Zimmer.

Brian - VampyreKing - Cacini

Now you need to watch Batman vs Superman and Zack Snyder's Justice League. A lot of people don't like the movies but you can't listen to them. You need to form your own opinion. They were good movies IMO but I've also been a comics fan over 40 years. Can't wait for your reaction to Endgame! I've been loving this journey with you!

MJB

"So dark. You sure you're not from the DC universe?" Deadpool to Cable in Deadpool 2 .

Jedi Mandalore (Dylan)

“why are the visual effects not done? It’s a metal arm. It’s not like we’re trying to remove a mustache!” - Deadpool 2 Trailer

Simon

Man I love your guys channel! I would LOVE to see you guys react to the teeanage mutant ninja turtle movies ! There are 2 of them

Tyara

can you react to wonder woman next

Tommy

They need to watch Batman vs Superman first

Zac Cochrane

Still can't believe this won over Ready Player One. Now they watch the next two/three movies...

David

Yeah idk. I think people are still excited for Marvel that they picked a DC movie.

DaftBasterd

They watch so much stuff that I wouldn't be surprised if they watched everything on that last poll. I wouldn't worry too much!

Zac Cochrane

No, Wonder Woman released first and chronologically makes more sense. We're all waiting for the next poll anyways

Zac Cochrane

I hope they do. But multiple movies come after this and people want to see the DCU, plus the donations. I'll just wait for the next poll

Simon

Ready player one isn’t that good. This was the best movie on the poll and this doesn’t mean they’re gonna watch all the next ones , they watch a lot of shit, they never watched all the x men and only one so let them experience a decent movie and be quiet. They liked it so why be annoying about it move on

Zac Cochrane

Oh YEAH, I've been waiting for an asshole on here. Like I said I'll for the next poll and vote for what movie I'd like to see them react to. You can wait in line for your movie franchise like the rest of them. Sorry you're butt hurt over someone's opinion and being the only one negative to this post

Simon

Vince your comment about the nuke , the nuclear energy would only make a kryptonian stronger so it’s a good thing hhe didn’t do that lmao

Simon

Idk if you guys will continue the dc or not but I want to let you guys know also about all the destruction in this movie, that’s the whole point on the next movie Batman v Superman Batman wants justice for all the citizens who died, that’s just a summary w no spoilers lol

Simon

How am I being a asshole 💀 you act like im attacking you I said ready player one isn’t good. N if they have a better movie on I’ll vote for it but man of steel was the best option so I voted for that. I wanna see them watch 21 jump street or ninja turtles but im still enjoying all the rides with them

David

sorry but it wasn't even the best superman movie. Top Gun: better. Godzilla: Same level. Ready Player One: better, and reviews support that.

Justin M Borowski

The disappointment of refreshing this page today for Endgame and getting Man of Steel instead might be the most disappointed I've felt since watching Man of Steel the first time 💀💀💀 Jk lol I am patient, just couldn't resist the roast

Jacob

Now if y’all love gritty super powered fights watch Hancock

Chris Mort

Was thinking the same.

MishkaTho

Yes, please do 😊

Betterfire

No ... BvS release first get your fact straight and it does not make more sense since it's suppose to be a surprise.

Betterfire

yeah I never get it either , a lot of people do that , if it because they are scared of not understanding each other I have noise cancellation headphone and I can still ear people talking to me outside my room.

Kyle Smith

Supermans first flight is next level movie experience 😀🙌

Arnav
>>113085567

Ngl you must have some bad noise cancellation headphones.

Arnav

If you guys didn’t know. Any kryptonian is able to use heat vision. But Kal El (superman) and eventually General Zod have been the only ones to master the ability.

Anthony Garcia

most overrated character of all time

ParsivalXP

Just so everyone's tracking there rebooting the entire dc universe movies and nobody knows exactly which actors are keeping there roles or leaving. After the new flash movie and aquaman come out its pretty much a dub

Tommy

Pls watch Batman vs Superman ultimate edition next. No rush tho lol

Blankets

batman vs superman ultimate edition next

Tommy

Yessir

Caleb

Batman vs Superman next please 🙏🏿

Tommy

Batman vs Superman ultimate edition

Quan

I disagree only because when he finally found out who he was it sent a distress signal to zod. He wouldn’t nor would the world have been ready at that time.

djKENTO

Signed up just to watch the DCEU with y’all only to find you leave the movie volume up the whole time. It’s super distracting. If you ever change your editing style lemme know cuz I’ll be back immediately. Y’all seem super cool, just the audio on the whole time is not how i like my reacts.

Dccomicfan

Comics are always different from the films in either a big way or small way. This also includes shows.

Sammy Lupean

I want to see a day in the life of you both! I did not know Vince was a teacher.

Dccomicfan

This Superman was dark the comic version is different this movie version is a new take on Superman. Superman is usually bright and optimistic and he wears bright colors he’s a typical superhero not someone who kills or likes to threaten criminals to get information.

Fern

love how you are trying to distract the lovely lady from seeing Henry Cavill's body when he is looking for clothes.
