They never really point it out but I think hopper is being dumb because he sees her as his daughter and since he lost 1 he's paranoid about her. Love makes us do stupid thingss

In season 1, I deeply disliked Nancy, this is the season I started to HATE her! She used Stave in season 1 to add a notch to her belt. Then in the last episode she blamed Steve for Barb's death, and is again using him and treated him like garbage, and then got mad at him this episode for not sucking up to her afterwards? And considering how she acted like he was not allowed to do or say anything slightly selfish or mean in fear (when he was scared about his dad finding out about the drinking the night Barb vanished) or anger (not stopping his friends from calling Nancy a slut after seeing Jonothan in her room on her bed), its a bit rich of her to feel entitled to him being understanding of the crappy things he said to him while drunk!
