This episode full of some cold ass cuts

“I don’t give a fuck” 😔 “Ok I do give a fuck” 😀

ShaneSpear

That Carmela scene transition is by far the weirdest thing ever on this show. And this is a show that once had Tony having a conversation with his mother's old footage.

It's weird since David Chase made that edit himself. Some Star Wars shit right there lmao

First, Paulie absolutely kept that money, or maybe gave half to Georgie and told him he's lucky he knows him lmao Tony's face when he's watching the news 🤣 I really like these episodes where we just get to hang out with the characters. It's why I love this show. Also, Tony is meant to be unlikeable by this point. Anyone who thinks he's a good loveable dude at this point is stunad.

SACRE BLU WHERE IS ME MA!!?

Alexander

I'm the guy who kept saying how more likable and cool tony is in these seasons. But as I grow more and more with The ALMIGHTY ONE, my Best Friend and Master GOD, I really don't find tony likable or even Want to be like him. I wish to change and be like CHRIST. The SPIRIT flows through me and Makes me change. ✝️❤️🙏

At least I believe in something. You act like I'm crazy for being Christian but you probably believe in Buddhism, spirituality or just plain atheism that we come from nothing. Dawg what?

48:09 Georgie is also a fat ass hence why he can't dodge Tony's beatings lol

John Collins

Uneven episode overall, always was, but has that moment of brilliance where the viewer is disgusted watching a character we’ve seen murder close to a dozen people pick a fight with his sister at the dinner table. Tony’s been in therapy for years but has only suffered more because improvement requires work, he just doesn’t want to do any work, and is comforted by the thought that people are the way they are, whatdya gonna do? Janice puts in just a little work and is a bit more conscientious and shows improvement in only a little bit of time. He can’t or doesn’t understand what he’s doing wrong; there still a part of him that thinks just showing up to therapy will help him out eventually without any additional effort on his part. Tony restores his outlook by bringing her back down to his level.

Very surprised to hear Chase made that choice. I always assumed it was Mike Figgis since this is the only ep he directed and he makes some bold editing choices when he directs movies (thinking of Time Code and what not).

Corina Perez

Tony's life is a mess at this point. I think what triggered him was seeing Janice happy with her new family. He pissed his away with the cheating and disrespect. Being at that dinner table was a reminder of how bad he fucked up the only valuable thing in his life, his family.

Yeah I think you're exactly right. If he can make Janice revert to her old ways he doesn't have to admit that he could change himself.

Especially after re-watching this show, I realize how much these "slow" episodes really are what make this series so good.
