Chapter 1 – The Summoning
War and bloodshed always force people to make decisions which they know are not morally right in their hearts, but yet they have to go through with it for the sake of everyone they love. This was something that Albus Dumbledore had become quite familiar with in his long, adventure filled life.
From the days of crusading with Gellert Grindelwald, his closest friend and a man he harboured deep feelings for, to the dark days in his older years when one of his best students had turned to the dark side, making everyone in Britain cower at his name.
These were his biggest failures in life. Right up there with the death of his sister and the estranged relationship between his brother and him.
He couldn’t stop Gellert from becoming a power-hungry maniac, and the vow he had given him had led to the death of countless innocents. He couldn’t stop Tom from becoming the foulest Dark Lord in the history of magical Britain. And he couldn’t stop the aftermath of his fall.
But what he was about to do now, made him sick to his stomach. But it had to be done. For the greater good.
In the dusky confines of the basement of Number 12 Grimmauld Place, a few members of the Order of the Phoenix convened, their faces etched with determination and concern. Albus Dumbledore, the de facto leader of the Order, stood at the centre of the chamber, his piercing blue eyes focused intently on the intricate ritual circle laid out before him. The old wizard was working with such precision and focus that any wizard who witnessed it would have been mesmerized by his craftsmanship.
However, the occasion was not coming at the best of times which is why we could see a man with dark messy hair, hazel eyes and glasses pacing uncomfortably in the room.
"Are we sure about this, Albus?" James Potter questioned; his face etched in worry. He knew what the ritual they were about to attempt resulted in. The consequences weren't something he was looking forward to.
"We don't have a choice now, James. It's too late for us to back out now. And if we have any chance of beating those two, we will need the necessary help. Do you believe we have a chance otherwise?" Dumbledore replied with a question of his own at the end, not taking his eyes off the circle, as he carefully placed certain ingredients within the circle. A shining, crimson stone at the centre of it.
Finally, a few moments later everything was set and ready to go. He turned towards the rest of the occupants and saw James avoid his eyes as he knew that Albus was right. They needed help this time. The last time they had barely survived.
Unlike his wife.“But why can’t you see the problem in this?” Exclaimed the red-haired, beautiful woman with eyes like an emerald green that captivated everyone's attention. It was Lily Evans-Potter, the wife of James Potter, for 20 years now.
“We are taking an innocent person from their world without their consent; it is practically a kidnapping!!” Lily thundered, standing up making her displeasure clear.“You don’t have to worry, Lily; I will send them back once we defeat our enemy,” Dumbledore tried to console the angry witch. But instead of calming down, Lily's anger reached a new height. “And what if you failed and they got stuck here somewhere they never wanted to be?”“And Merlin, forbid, what if they lost their lives while defending ours?" Lily hissed, her eyes glowing in anger. “Can you live your whole life with the guilt in your heart that it was because of you that an innocent person lost their life while fighting someone else's battle?”
Her words struck Dumbledore, who knew the risk in what he was doing but tried not to show it on his face. He knew she was right and that there was a high chance of exactly what she said happening. They were changing someone’s innocent life, and if they died, it would be his hands that would be red with their blood. But he was far too gone and was ready to take this risk. He was about to open his mouth to somehow reason with the Lady Potter, but someone else decided to do it before he could.“We don’t have the luxury of time to think about the consequences of our actions, Lily,” said a tall, aristocratic-looking man with long black hair and grey eyes.Sirius Black was a dear friend of James and Lily Potter, and he was also the head of House Black, whose property they were currently in.“We are in a desperate time to win this war; we have to do things that aren’t right and are against our own morals," Sirius continued softly. “We have to do this to give our kids a peaceful future where they don’t have to go through what we did.”
Lily's face softened when she heard the emotional words of the man she considered her brother. "Bu-,“ she tried to reply back but was stopped by the hands of her husband on her arm.Turning to him, she saw him shake his head. “Please don't, Lily,” James whispered warmly. “Sirius is right; sometimes we have to take hard decisions for our kids’ happiness. Think about our daughters; don’t you want them to live the rest of their school life and ahead without worrying about the war and the people they could lose?” He asked, rubbing a thumb on his wife’s knuckles.Lily’s eyes teared up as the image of her lovely daughters flashed in her eyes. “You know that I want them to live their lives fully,” she whispered, her voice thick with emotion.“But James, with this ritual, we are taking someone’s child from them,” a tear dropped from her eyes. "I wouldn't wish the fate of losing a child on anyone."
"I know, Lily. But we have to do this. Let's just be selfish this time and hope that everything goes well. For our daughters."
Lily stopped her complaints after hearing that. She would do anything for her children. Before she could change her mind now, she pushed Dumbledore to get it over with.
The old wizard then looked at the head of the house. “It’s time, Sirius, to start the ritual. Seal the room,” he ordered.Sirius bobbed his head, and then he went to the single small tapestry hanging in the whole blank room. And putting his hand on the Black family crest that was drawn on it, he whispered a few words. With his command given, suddenly a wave of magic spread the whole room, covering it from edge to edge, and following what Dumbledore told him, the room was sealed now. This room was not just a simple sitting room; instead, it was a special room made by the Black family head at the time this place was built. This room was specifically built for performing rituals, which was why it was known as the Ritual Room. After the command was given only by the head of house, the room was sealed. It was done so that the room could absorb any residual ritual magic and the whole house wouldn’t be affected by it.Hearing a clink sound in his head, signalling that the room was safe, Sirius turned to Dumbledore and nodded.Dumbledore straightened his shoulder, making his posture straight, and his body no longer showed the same amount of fatigue that it should for an old man who hasn’t slept in days trying to perfect the ritual. The time that he had been waiting for months was finally here; this was what he had been researching and reading those century-old papers for so long. His mind and body were ready to finally see what his hard work would reward him.“Everyone take a step back." Dumbledore ordered his voice firm, commanding, “Have your wand in your hand, but no one uses it until the ritual is done. Is that clear?”A nod of the head from everyone in the room was his answer. No matter what differences they had in their opinion of their leader, they still believed him to do what was best for them.
Dumbledore kneeled down, and touching the tip of his wand to the edge of the runic circle, he began the chanting to finally begin the ritual.
‘O magia, nostram audi vocem. In mundo profundo, ubi sors iacet;Fortem vocamus ut clamores exaudiamus.’
(Translation: O magic, heed our voice. In the deep cosmos, where fate lies;
We call on the strong to hear our cries.')
This continued for the next 20 minutes, making everyone worry, not just at the state of their leader as he kept going the entire time, but also because they couldn’t see any magical reaction.
Until there was a white spark.
A spark that soon turned into a hurricane of magic that raged through the entire chamber. Everyone had to shield themselves due to the sheer magnitude and force of magic within the chamber.
Even Dumbledore, who had a vast knowledge of all the magic in the world was surprised by what was going on. But he didn’t stop chanting. He was waiting for a signal.
And he got one soon.
The moment the white color that had engulfed the room condensed into the ritual circle, leaving a massive glowing runic structure in the middle of the chamber, he shouted out loud.
‘Fortis heros prodeant!’
The flow of magic stilled for a moment, until it blasted across the room. Every person present there was thrown a few feet back, their bodies not being able to withstand the push of magic.
Moments later, everyone got back up to their feet and looked at the middle of the room where the ritual circle was.
In place of a ritual circle, they instead saw a cloud of dust and debris from the destroyed floor, and looking closely, they saw a human figure in the cloud.
A deep, captivating voice of a man resounded throughout the room, confirming the presence of their summoned hero. “Where am I?”
Looking back up, they saw the man that would hopefully be their saviour as the dust cleared by a simple swish of Dumbledore’s wand.
The man in front of them, had the most alluring shade of green eyes they had seen, a shade of green that seemed rather familiar. His messy, dark hair fell down to his shoulders, framing his face perfectly. The man looked as regal and aristocratic as the pureblood lords of old did.
Before they could approach him however, they saw his eyes widen in recognition as he took in the people who had summoned him, and within seconds he had his wand out, his magic surging.
‘Paralysin Integram!’
Even Dumbledore, with his years of experience couldn’t counter the spell that left them all paralyzed and levitating, at the mercy of their attacker.
“As much as I appreciate a good prank, this one is getting a bit out of hand, don’t you think?” the mysterious stranger said as he walked towards the group. “So, who the fuck are you and how are you impersonating these people? These aren’t glamour charms and if I find out you have desecrated the graves of my dead parents for a Polyjuice potion, I will make Death Eaters look like saints.”
Even though he hadn’t raised his voice at them, the sheer hate in his eyes and the way he spoke made them gulp in fear.
“Young man, listen to me,” Dumbledore began, trying to placate the situation.
“Of-fucking-course, you would be the first to speak,” the stranger said with a small chuckle that carried no humour.
“Wait your parents? What’s your name, please?!” Lily spoke in between, wanting to confirm her suspicions. Could it be possible?
The stranger looked at her and for a moment she saw his eyes soften, before they hardened back again. A telltale sign of occlumency.
“So, you don’t know the name of the person you kidnapped?” the stranger said with a blank voice. “Very well, considering it your last wish, let me entertain you, the name is Harry James Potter. And the woman you are impersonating, is my dead mother and the most brilliant muggleborn witch to ever live, Lily Evans-Potter.”
The moment Harry said those words, he saw the eyes of the rest of the group widen, as the doppelganger of his mother burst into tears. Looking at her cry her eyes out, he wanted to do nothing but hug her. He had always wished to be able to look at his parents in the flesh, hug them, talk to them, laugh with them.
But not like this.
“Young man, let me explain please,” Dumbledore’s impersonator pleaded, making Harry turn towards him. “You are not in your world anymore. This is another world, different than yours.”
Harry just blankly stared at him. The old bastard was once again pissing him off. He decided to forget his occlumency and was about to lay into him when he caught his own reflection in the mirror and his eyes widened in disbelief.
The face in front of him did not look like the one he had gotten used to. There were no wrinkles, no age lines, no white hair. He looked like the handsome bloke he was when his wife, then girlfriend, had first confessed her love for him. Making sure that this wasn’t an illusion, he turned towards the group, his mind finding some acceptance in his old headmaster’s words.
There was only one way to check.
“Mipsey!” he called out with authority.
With a loud pop, a female house-elf appeared in front of him, looking exactly as he remembered her. Small stature, droopy ears, and wide eyes looked at him with wonder.
“Young master called for Mipsey! But Mipsey doesn’t recognise young master? Yous magic feels like Master James and Mistress Lily, but Mipsey doesn’t remember them having young master?” the small elf said with major confusion on her mind.
Harry simply smiled at her and patted her head, just like she liked it, making her smile happily.
“Thank you, Mipsey. You can go now, I will explain everything later,” Harry said, and with that Mipsey disappeared, completely forgetting to check on her Master and his wife who were still levitating behind.
With a wave of his wand, Harry let the spell go and the group landed on the ground, free to move again.
“Explain everything,” was all Harry could say, before being engulfed in a hug by his mother. Well, the version of her in this world. He could see James also wanting to join in, but he held himself back. Awkwardly, Harry managed to hug her back slightly before letting James pry her off him.
“How about we retire to somewhere where we can all sit down?” Dumbledore suggested. “Sirius, please lead the way.”
Harry’s godfather nodded and happily led them all to the dining room upstairs. The Grimmauld Place in this world was much different than the one in his. He was used to a dark, gloomy, gothic house, not one that felt so… warm. The colour palette was still dark. But then again, this was a Black family property.
“Now that we have all calmed down, let’s begin,” Dumbledore started, looking pointedly at Lily who simply ignored him in favour of looking at her son. “I suppose you know who all of us are, so let’s skip past the introductions. We used a ritual to summon a hero to our world, a ritual that required copious amounts of magic, to help aid in our fight against the dark.”
“So, you kidnapped me to fight your battles, caused by your blunders?” Harry said, sarcasm dripping from his voice.
“Yes, we did,” Lily said, before anyone else could say anything. Dumbledore wasn’t happy with the way she framed it, but Lily couldn’t care less. It was exactly the way her son had described it to be, no matter what Dumbledore said and wanted to believe.
“Hmm, not the worst thing you have done I suppose,” Harry muttered under his breath but it was loud enough that everyone heard it.
“Trust me, I am agitated enough to knock your head off and have a half mind to leave now,” Harry began saying. “But, as someone who has fought and led his own group in a war, I understand that tough decisions need to be made. However, I am already tired after getting rid of my enemy in my world, and you springing your battle on me doesn’t help.”
“You have defeated the Dark Lords of your world?” Dumbledore asked eagerly, ignoring the sour faces of Harry and Lily.
“Shut up, Albus,” James hissed. That wasn’t the point right now, damn it! His son was here and he had already expressed how annoyed he was by being brought here to fight a damn war. Again!
“I apologise, Harry,” Dumbledore said, with an apologetic nod of his head. “I think it would help if we compare the histories of our worlds. Don’t you think so?”
Harry nodded and said, “Very well, let me go first. As you already know, I am Harry Potter, son of James and Lily Potter from my world. And my tale began on the 31st of October, 1981.”
With that Harry launched into his story. At the mention of the death of his parents and how he became the boy-who-lived, he saw everyone share a look. Then when he recited his life at the Dursley’s, Lily and James looked ready to destroy Dumbledore. The man himself looked aghast at what he had condemned the child to. Then came the stories of his first and second year. How he found his first friends, how Hagrid rescued him, his Quidditch escapades and picking fights with Slytherins (something James and Sirius enjoyed listening to), his clash with the dungeon bat known as Severus Snape (once again, the two Marauders enjoyed listening to this), and how at the end of both years he faced the dickhead known as Lord Voldemort. His mother wasn’t happy he was ostracized by the school for being a Parselmouth but there was nothing she could do about it now.
His heroic tale of slaying the basilisk caused his mother to once again smother him. But she wasn’t alone this time as even his father joined her.
All this time Sirius was waiting to hear where he was while Harry went through all this and when he finally heard the tales of Harry’s third year and how things had turned out for the Sirius Black in that world, he was horrified. He profusely apologised to James and Lily for abandoning Harry like that, and they helped calm the dog Animagus down.
“Then came my 4th year. That year the Triwizard tournament was being hosted at Hogwarts. And somehow, I found myself entering it. Once again, no one seemed to believe me, not even Ron and Hermione and it ended up burning the bond we shared completely. Ron couldn’t get over his jealousy and Hermione chose his side over mine. Amidst the pain of losing my friends, I ended up finding the love of my life, Daphne Greengrass.”
“Greengrass?!” James and Sirius both screamed. How could they not? Anastasia Greengrass was considered the most beautiful woman in school, on level with the Black sisters. And the guy she married, Cyrus Greengrass, was one troublesome bastard. He led the Grey side, and was a nightmare to deal with politically.
“Yes, daughter of Anastasia and Cyrus Greengrass. She ended up becoming my light in that darkness. With her help I succeeded in getting to the last stage of the tournament and that is when it all went to shit. Cedric Diggory and I both grabbed the cup and were transported straight into Voldemort’s clutches. Cedric died, killed by Pettigrew and he used my blood to resurrect Voldemort. I fought him that day and only because Daphne had drilled the importance of using my gifts and never showing my opponent mercy, I managed to land the killing curse on him after a long battle. That too because he underestimated me.”
Before any of them could rejoice at that, Harry continued, “But that wasn’t enough. You see Voldemort had made horcruxes, that anchored him to the mortal plane. And this is why he kept coming back. Year after year, I fought him. Losing friends. Losing loved ones. I watched a lot of innocents die before we found out about the Horcruxes. After 12 years, the battle finally ended. Daphne and I got married and had a massive family and I lived a long life. And then one day when I was sitting at my desk, waiting to join my wives, I was brought here.”
Everyone took a moment to digest the life the young teenager had lived. He had been through a lot, only because the adults in his life had failed him at every step.
“Wait, did you say ‘wives?” Sirius asked. His mind finally catching up to his godson’s words.
Harry just smirked at him and said, “Yes. Daphne and I bedded other women as well. While Daphne became Lady Potter, it didn’t mean I didn’t have other wives. Quite a few actually.”
Lily looked shocked while James and Sirius’ face screamed how proud they were. ‘That’s my boy,’ they both thought happily.
“Now then, its your turn,” Harry said, facing the four of them. Reminding them to recite their side of the story.
“Wait, before we continue, why did you call Mipsey here?” Lily asked with intrigue.
“Elves and Goblins are the two species that are extremely sensitive to magic. They can recognise you through every disguise there is. Had she recognised me, I would have confirmed that I was still in my world, and that wouldn’t end well for you. However, I was surprised that she managed to pick up on my magic signature. Guess I will have to research that another time,” Harry replied and muttered the last part under his breath, satiating their curiosity.
“Let’s get back on track now,” Dumbledore suggested, as everyone agreed.
“Let me take this, Lily flower,” James said, leaning forward in his chair. “Son, from what you have told me about your life, I can say with 100% certainty that nothing that you had to go through has happened here. While there was a break-in at Gringotts for the stone, the Flamels took it back themselves and went under the Fidelius Charm. Quirrell disappeared and I guess now we have an explanation as to why. And the two years after that were relatively quiet, until the start of the summer a couple of weeks ago when we heard that Peter Pettigrew escaped.”
Harry was slightly happy by the man calling him son. It was something he really craved when he was younger, but now after living an entire life by himself, it seemed like he didn’t need his parents as much.
“We can track him down later,” Harry said. “He isn’t as important. Hopefully, none of Voldemort’s inner circle members escape.”
“Yes. Apart from that, let me tell you this. We don’t have a son named Harry in this world. Because of Lily and I constantly obstructing Voldemort’s plans, my entire family went under the Fidelius a year before Voldemort would have attacked you since he started sending his inner circle members after us and our families. A few months after that, we received an owl from Sirius, who was our secret keeper at the time, that a prophecy has been issued that our bloodline would be the reason for Voldemort’s demise.”
“Was Snape the one who overheard the prophecy when Sybil Trelawney was interviewing with Dumbledore?” Harry questioned, and received a surprised nod in return. Seems like things were not that different here.
“Yes, you are right. Well after that Voldemort began hunting us down. At this time, Dumbledore had the idea that we should change our secret keeper because the amount of ambushes Sirius had to face was truly staggering. This would ensure his safety since he would be in hiding as well, and even if things went wrong, we wouldn’t be found.”
“I would lay my life down for you guys, James. I thought it was a stupid decision then, and I still think that now,” Sirius grumbled from his seat. Harry smiled a little at that, as did everyone else.
“You are right, Padfoot. But it was the safest option at the time. We chose Pettigrew as our secret keeper, and that was our mistake. Apart from Sirius, my father, Lord Charlus Potter was the only one who thought this to be a stupid plan and decided to create a diversion by putting our cottage at Godric’s Hollow under a Fidelius and making Pettigrew the secret keeper. This allowed us to roam freely between Potter Manor and our cottage.
Unfortunately, we didn’t know the fucking rat would be a part of Voldemort’s wankers. A couple of days after that, he led Voldemort straight to the cottage. My father was the only one there and he ended up sacrificing himself to stop Voldemort from reaching us. He was the one who brought Voldemort down. We suspect he used sacrificial magic but we don’t know the details. Even his portrait hasn’t woken up since that day.”
Harry was surprised to hear about this. In his world, his grandparents had passed away years before the war due to Dragon Pox, and because of the war, his parents could reclaim Potter Manor. Which is why when he returned there after his marriage to Daphne, he found himself consoling a gang of crying elves.
“Wait, if you don’t have me in this world, and Voldemort doesn’t attack me and get his soul damaged, then how did he end up dying?” Harry wondered out loud. “Maybe his soul was too damaged by the sacrificial magic used by grandfather, which is why his mortal body disintegrated.”
Their eyes widened at that. None of them had thought of it this way.
“How many did he make?” Dumbledore asked with a grim expression.
“In my world, it was 7. Over here? I’m not sure but if he is similar to the one in mine, then he probably made the same number here as well,” Harry said.
“The details of what happened that night were never released to the public so they believe him to be truly gone, and Lord Charlus Potter is listed as a war hero that sacrificed himself in the war to stop the Death Eaters.”
“That’s good. This way there is no mass panic and no one has any false image of what happened that day,” Harry said with a smile. In his world, people had a gross misinterpretation of how he defeated Voldemort and his childhood after that.
“You’re wrong about that last part,” Sirius said with a snort.
“Excuse me?” Harry asked with confusion.
“The Longbottoms. They decided to show their true colours after the war was over,” he said, answering Harry.
“Wait, they are alive and healthy?” Harry asked with surprise.
“Yes. Are they not in your world?” Lily asked with intrigue.
“They were tortured till their brains were fried by the Lestranges and Crouch Jr. Their son, Neville, was raised by Augusta Longbottom and was a good friend of mine.”
"Ah," Lily exclaimed, surprised at the stark contrast with what had occurred here. "In our world, they were attacked, but they were able to defeat their death eaters. What they did after that was really vile." As she recalled what had transpired, her voice turned furious."When they discovered Voldemort disappeared, they twisted the truth and told the media that there was a prophecy that caused Voldemort to attack them rather than us, and that their son Neville was the one who beat him. And because of this false deception and the fact that Dumbledore and ourselves didn't try to reject this, since we didn't want anyone to know, the people believed their lies and ran with it," she spat, her fury building whenever she thought about the Longbottom and how they had twisted the story of Voldemort's demise, leaving out the man who had beat him for the sake of fame."Over the years, Alice has attempted to reconnect with me, but I'm afraid we've passed that point now," Lily remarked, her anger fading away. In the end, she and Alice were best friends. Which is why her friend's betrayal affected her much more.
Harry simply nodded in sympathy and squeezed her hand for comfort. But he had another question on his mind.
"Does their son have a scar caused due to dark magic?" Harry questioned. After all, in his world the public had only believed that a baby had defeated the foulest Dark Lord in Wizarding Britain's history when the fact about his scar caused due to the killing curse and its shape was revealed (The wand movement of the killing curse has the same shape as his scar).
"He does have a scar on his cheek conveniently but it doesn't have any residual dark magic on it," Dumbledore spoke up.
Harry nodded in understanding. He had long since come to realise that the British population consisted of sheep that would believe anything if it came from a higher authority.
“What happened after that?” and with that, Lily continued from where James had left off.
Voldemort disappeared and the world continued peacefully after that. But shit hit the fan 15 years after his disappearance.
Grindelwald disappeared from his prison. The same Dark Lord Gellert Grindelwald that had terrorised the world in the 1940’s, being the main catalyst for the Second World War.
He had resurfaced in South America and while he kept himself under the radar, his history had caused terror to sweep through the world. For 3 years, the ICW had tried to capture him, but they couldn’t do anything. Grindelwald was still, just as powerful and had a new legion of followers with him.
Add to that the fact Voldemort could possibly return to full power, had Dumbledore truly worried this time. Which is why he was here now.
“…and this was why we had no other option but to summon you to help us.” Lily finished telling the history of the last 18 years, and Harry rubbed his face, feeling tired after digesting all the different histories of this world.“Bloody hell, it is so much different than I expected,” Harry groaned. "After dying this morning, I was looking forward to meeting my wife in the afterlife, not be dragged into another world to fight the wanker again."
“I’m sorry; I shouldn’t have put all of that on you so soon,” Lily apologised, looking concerned.
"It's alright. A good night's rest would work well to put my mind at ease," Harry said with a small smile.
"Why don't you come stay with us?" Lily said excitedly. "You can rest comfortably over there and I would love for you to meet a few people. I am sure you will love it over there."
"That is a brilliant idea. Why don't you come stay with us, son?" James said with a smile of his own.
"I don't wish to intrude," Harry said politely.
"Nonsense! Even if I have not given birth to you, you are still my son. You are coming with us," Lily said in a stern voice.
That was the end of the discussion. Which is why the newest addition to the Potter family in this world, was standing in front of the floo with all of them, ready to depart.
"But before you leave, Harry, I need to know if you will fight for us or not," he remarked, interrupting the amusing banter in the room."For fuck's sake, Albus." Lily lashed at him as she defended Harry: "Are you really this insensitive? Can't you see Harry needs to rest after what he's been through today?""Lily is right, Albus," James stated in support of his wife. "At least give the poor kid a day out or two to relax and think about it.""We have already summoned him here without his consent; at the very least, we should give him time to think about his decision, Professor." Sirius also defended his godson.
Dumbledore, seeing all three against him and realising the point they were making, accepted that he was behaving a bit too insensitive and impatient.“All three of you are right." He sighed and then turned to Harry. “I’m sorry, my boy. I shouldn’t have forced you like that.”“I can understand your impatience, headmaster,” Harry replied, speaking for himself for the first time. "However, even if I am miffed about being summoned here against my will, it goes against my conscience to let innocents suffer at the hands of cunts like Voldemort. I will help you, but whether or not I will actively participate in this fight, is something I will have to think about."
"Of course, Harry. I hope that you have a good night," Dumbledore said with a smile. Even though it wasn't the answer he was looking for, he was still happy regarding the entire situation.
With a final goodbye, the Potters disappeared in a sea of green flames. Sirius left soon as well once he was reminded of the fact that his wife would be waiting for him at home.
Dumbledore looked around the empty room and let out a sigh. “You are really something interesting, Harry Potter. We have much to talk about, especially about how you have the elder wand with you.”
He took out the mythic wand that he had been using for half a century now and traced his finger at the beads on the wand like he always does when he looks at the beautifully carved wand. From the moment, Harry Potter had been brought into their world, the wand and his connection had severed. It didn't feel like the constant dam of power that fuelled him anymore. It felt like an ordinary wand.
And he knew there was only one reason for that.
He was no longer the favoured master of the wand of death.
