Emanai really is pretty small, huh. Seems like it takes a bit of work to get to open ocean too. What's the creature situation with the ocean, anyway? As the land has the Forest, does the sea have the Deep?

hmm, Emanai sits in the 30°-40° latitude range (Champaign, IL to New Orleans, LA, near the capital, which should be about midway between the coasts for various reasons, (so, 35° latitude, ~Memphis, TN or Oklahoma City, OK) and the Lamia nearly went into hibernation in 1 night, during the summer? With coasts north and south, the elevation can't be that high, despite the saddle created by the mountain ranges. Tana must sit a bit further from its star than Earth, which means the Artic latitudes could indeed be quite deadly. The tropics would be nice, though.
