0.16 - Weekly Progress Report (Patreon)
Content
0.15 was the biggest update Blue Swallow has ever shipped, and the landing was smooth.
This past week was the part nobody posts screenshots of: hunting down the edge cases that only surface once thousands of playthroughs hit the build. A routing loop in one of the gymnastics vignettes. A virgin playthrough that was skipping the skill selector. A handful of outfit-state mismatches. All caught, all fixed. Keep the reports coming — that's how these get found. You'd be surprised how many of these same paths we tried before, just...not with the same stats or previous choices. Thank you!
All the same, youu didn't come here for a bug list. You came for what's next.
WHAT v0.16 IS
This is a roadmap. Composition is just beginning. But the shape of the next update is already clear.
Edge Play — the content poll winner. New BDSM and adjactent content woven into upcoming scenes and arcs.
Group Encounters — the content poll runner-up, also greenlit. Multi-partner scenes in Act I, with the overlapping dynamics and complications that come with them. Not just more bodies in the room — more ways for things to go right, or very wrong.
THE BIGGER THREADS
Beyond what you voted for, v0.16 pushes on the threads that matter most for where the story is going.
The man behind the curtain. If you read Design Dilemma #4, you know there's a figure in Blue Swallow who runs things from a distance — someone Claire hasn't met (probably). v0.16 builds the ways she starts to find him. Multiple paths, different playstyles, varying amounts of warning. Your feedback on that dilemma is directly shaping how discoverable he is.
Nate, continued. The Flirtation-as-Treadecraft arc that anchored v0.15 doesn't resolve cleanly. v0.16 carries it forward into territory I'm not going to spoil.
New faces, returning ones. There are characters from Claire's past who haven't said their last word, and characters in Manila who've been waiting in the margins for their moment.
Next week I'll start going deeper on individual pieces. For now: v0.15 is yours to play.
See you Wednesday.
