Videos

I've hired video editors for this album. Expecting to ship and publish within 3 weeks at the most. 🙂

Commissions

Also, I have two commissions lined up, which are both very on-brand for me, and I'm excited for both of them.

Mrs. Claus

Mrs. Charli Claus is getting more interest as a drawing, so I've decided to make one track for every drawing of me-Claus commissioned from one of my artists (Nik is busy as hell right now, but Bitetochew, Miming-kun, and Axya-chan are available). If you want to commission a drawing like this, I really have been dying to see what Miming-kun would do with me bc omg he draws the cutest anime girls I've ever seen.

Avoiding Burnout

And then I want to get in a just-for-me-song this month, too. The "Don't Kill My Character" song, specifically. I think that making time to create things I want to make for myself is key to not burning out, so yeah, I'm gonna allow myself 2–3 weeks in the coming 3 months to just work on that. ^_^Much love, all 🤍Charcharcharcharcharli

Love it! Do whatever you can to avoid the burnout. You do you, and we'll be here!

Glad you're keeping your own mental well being in mind. Burnout is very real and a destroyer of drive.

Yes, do so songs just for you! I think it’s important for the reasons you mentioned. And as a listener, I like to hear what’s dear to you. For example, when I first startest following you here after LGL, I instantly digged for the oldest post and „ma chérie“ was sure a surprise but I enjoyed the vibe.

I love that song so much. The first half is beautiful. Perfect. But then it just goes off the rails 😭

Crowmy

Yes. But I think it captures the emotional complexity of the situation. The song reflects the Journey. Heart pounding, establishing of the conflict and especially around the mid part where the shift happens into a, I think eurodance-y vibe, the confrontational energy gets transported. I see flipping off, scoffing, disengagement and a sadness of a what could have been. I see why you feel that way, and I agree that it goes off the rails. But for me that is part of the charm.

Charli Morgan

Idk. So, my intention was that the music becomes more chaotic as the song progresses because it's representing the disconnection between the protagonist and the person they're interested in, but in the end, I look back on it and all I can hear is noise. The noise was intentional, but it's still just so . . . so noisy.
